This week, I had the honor of playing Keyboard 2 for the School Edition of Les Miserables with THRIVE Rural Theater Company, which features students from around the county. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to make my own patches using MainStage. A majority of the patches doubled the strings or brass in the orchestra. Our Keys 1 player, who was also the rehearsal accompanist, played from the Piano-Conductor book on a simple piano sound. Since she did that, I took some things from the Keys 1 book, such as some guitar and triggered harp glissandos.
