This channel is dedicated to modifying and off roading the Ford Territory.
Budget Burnout Ford Territory Build
Episode two of the Ford Territory Budget Burnout Build. A lot of general maintenance this time and a few basic NA engine upgrades.
Upgrades part's:
Powerbond underdrive balancer
Mace intake plenum spacers
Tiger Headers
Nascar style boom tube exhaust
Alloy overflow
Catch Can setup
And general maintenance overhaul
Was booked in for the Octane Burnouts out at Queensland Raceway but due to weather the event was postponed. Was lucky enough to get invited to a private abandoned road to do a small test the next day. Was in a rush and forgot the GoPro camera's. Got a few phone video's instead.
Next event is the 14th of February. After this event we will be going a turbo conversion.

Just wondering has anyone else had a lot of problems with theirs worst car I've ever owned i can blame the Mrs it was her choice
@@Noelzsazsa My Territory's are the best car's I've ever owned. Very simple and easy to maintain. They can also be used in so many different ways. Parts are very cheap and easily available. If you don't have mechanical skills or buy one that hasn't been looked after I could understand your issue.
Very nice video and appreciate your time to make it
@@dgb5820 this stuff is easy for me but forget sometimes how it can help other's
great stuff mate have a good australia day
Falcoon on stilts go the terrys
A Wuhan Spooli Boi is going to cause you no end of problems.. from Surge to leaning out.
@@MrMagnat007 It will be perfectly fine. I'm doing it somewhat right and it's not really that hard.
Love it!!!! Have you got details to the LSD used?
@@TKDPWR It's running a welded 4.10:1 ratio diff. Check the first episode of the build for lot's more on the driveline stuff.
Budget is fine, budget doesn't mean cheapest.
@@wobblysauce That's a very good way to look at it. Still a pretty cheap fun car. Having a lot of part's already laying around helps. I reckon the turbo conversion with tuning will come to about 5k but again I think that's pretty cheap.
That's budget awesome
@, you don't need to use oil gears, but they are one of the first things people do for reliability and safety, as with metal pulleys. It is a few little things that add up. Then you have other mods you can take from one build to the next when you are done with this shell. An ECU swap can add a lot of safety and tuning possibilities.
First person to like and comment 🎉🎉
This is bloody awesome mate. I'v never considered one for anything offroad, and I wouldn't even attempt half the stuff you guys did, but with that lift kit it holds its own. What are they like on sand, like for up the beach (I'm on the Sunny Coast too)? Can pick a really good nick low k's one up stock for about $5k at the moment. Do you mind me asking what the 30mm lift kit costs to have installed? Cheers!
@@stevehobson8304 Never had a issue on sand. Bit of extra clearance and normal sand driving techniques is all you need. If you check my other videos you will see I've had mine on beaches as far as South Australia and even Little Desert. External transmission cooler is probably the only other mods I'd really advise first. I use SZ lower forks in the SY and they are hard to come by now. If you want a simple lift I sell 35mm front bolt on strut top spacers and 40mm bolt in rear spacers for $300. I'm in Caboolture and can work out a deal for the install if needed.
Will this be the same for a 2012 sz territory?
@@sle2979 yes will be the same
Go the AWD's... 😊
Just made the bog hole more boggy. Love marks.
OUCH.. It was bound to happen at some point that Jenan would loose a tail-light assembly ! We have all done it (Well most of us) That RAV-4 is surprisingly capable for a vehicle that most keep to the tarmac.. Well done..
Ravs have been overlooked since they came out.
your a bloody marvel mate , great tutorial
Is a territory full time awd?
@@hanretheart1968 The SX, SY and SY2 are full-time AWD with a 62% rear 38% front torque split. The SZ is part time to my knowledge
I wanna know how this sounds with the diesel 😂
@@Wtrxprs007able Myself personally not a fan of the diesel for my own reasons so won't be from me. I want to how how it would sound with a barra turbo conversion.
The wheels Yous use on the territorys what are they and where can I get some please and thanks fairly new to all the territory stuff so I'm not sure what can and can't fit what mods can be done ECT where I live is rural so having an off-road territory would be sick but ours is bone stock was sitting for over a year in the bush needs some TLC before putting back on road runs drives Mint just cosmetic shit and what have you pardon my language

@@mitchellbaker2016 Find out what diffs you have and search around for someone who makes auto lokkas. 4wd Systems is one of many that do. Easy to check there website first.
@TerritoryOffroad cheers mate 👌🏿
I got one of them for my XF ute. I didn't deliver a small load of hay once because i couldn't tow the trailer out of the yard after a heap of rain. Should be better and cheaper than a limited slip diff.
SOUNDS LIKE AN AUSSIE OVER LOKKA,,,,,, they click but work like a locked diff,,, and cheap too i think i'll do it to mine too,,,,, thanks for the suggestion,,, love ya show
@@normo-w9v Think 4wd systems is one of many companies that make them. Go with the cheapest as they are all the same.
CV is just a Solo spotter. A few forget they like a little brake pressure when you have an unloaded wheel to fully engage the system.
@@wobblysauce yeah takes a little more now with the lokka.
Yeah, I fitted one to the front of my 75 series LC (1988) about 12-13 years ago. I was so impressed that I soon fitted one to the rear. Had to source another open center for the rear as LC came with Toyota's useless LSD which you can't use with the Lokka. That thing on 35's then went anywhere I pointed it, providing there was clearance for the leaf spring hangers. All in all, best money I spent on the old LC. Mate, money well spent. Now own a Unimog, but that's a whole new animal. :)
@@TheRaptor1967 Unimog would be next level. The old lokka really is the best value for money.
i put a lokka in to my triton ,, as long as u shim it per specs u should be good to go ,,love mine best thing i made a gantry for the engine bay and used my front winch to lower and raise the diff in to place nice and easy ,,, good vid content.. love the territory .. might get one soon
@@nedguy9220 Yeah I have to think the people who complain so bad about them either didn't do it right or are very fussy about a small bit of clicking. Winch gantry is a good idea
What model triton ?
@@owenh3459 Mk 05 model
I put an auto lokka in the front of my TJ wrangler and it was perfect. the ratcheting sound didn't bother me but to normal people it would sound like its broken. Performance off road was massively improved especially on soft sand. It is annoying that you cant turn it on and off but the Jeep steering is very light so it drives like normal, but the steering wheel does want to return to center aggressively. I did worry about breaking CVs but it was never a problem. My local 4x4 shop tried to talk me into an air locker or E locker but the auto Lokka was perfect for the Jeep and I didn't want to spend over a 1/4 the value of my car on 1 locker.
@@snipercomeshot You can't bet the price and simplicity of them. I get how some would be turned off my the clicking. Wanting to go LSD in the front. Will be interesting to see how that handles on and off road.
When your burnout tyres would last too long.
@@wobblysauce rules state tyre's have to be of good quality. The only one's I had were bald. Didn't have time to sort anything else but new. I wouldn't expect to get them off in the two minutes.
That and when you add the rain...

@@traehodges3796 For any used part's or remanufactured suspension part's, hit up DJ’S Auto Part's on Facebook or his eBay store. For lift part's I'm the person to talk to about that. Best to join the Territory Offroad facebook group and talk to me (keith hansby) about what you are wanting. My bullbars and stuff are custom made by me. There are some bullbars available for the territory but all over the bumper type and not much good for offroad use. It all just depends on what you want to use it for. Roof racks are easy any auto store can help with that or keep a eye out on ebay or marketplace. Wheels again are all up to you and what you like. Steel rim's come in a range of offsets to suit. There are also some alloy rim's that work good.
What bull we do you have?? And where do I get it and the snorkel?
@@BradMatthews Bullbar is a cut down modified Nissan Patrol alloy bullbar. Not something you can just buy.
