@@MrMagnat007 haven't snapped a front CV yet. Still got a few thing's to sort out up front before I'm happy with it. The ZF is a much better gearbox and so much better offroad. I think he's sold the falcon now and got a Subaru instead.

@@tomcruise7095 The territory evolved into the Everest in the end. If you look at the earlier advertising and development they really had intended it for soft off roading. Even the owners manual has a full offroad driving section. Problem was it ended up appealing more to large families and ford moved more towards that as you can see in the later advertisement. A RTV Territory would of been very cool and might of gone a long way in changing people's opinions on there capability. A small lift, size bigger tyre's and rear diff lock or better yet centre diff lock. But hey lot's of information and proof out there now of just how good they can be. More and more part's are also slowly becoming available.

@@Nick_Toddy_ nothing hard about running it that way if you have good fab skills. Won't work with a standard airbox.

@@MrMagnat007 It is a step up. Still has more plan's for it yet. I'm more focused on reliability and improving traction at the moment.

@@mikaelekilama4049 SY2 AWD is my pick with the RWD barra SZ second as a daily. In saying this but I daily both of my other offroad Territory's.

@@brettdavis6414 Rules state if you remove the rear brakes altogether you have to upgrade the fronts to make up for it. Not really wanting to spend money on doing that. I got a line locker to install and that will turn them off. I'd like to use it for more then just burnout events so that's another reason I'd prefer to keep them. Will go over more of this stuff in the next video as it might surprise people just how many rules there are.

@@rohyau what year territory? Recently found out the last of the SY Territory's made end of 2008 changed to the new type of pedal.

@@rohyau Not sure if the earlier BA falcon's are different. My SX Territory was a 2005.

@@Nick_Toddy_ yes it's the plastic welds snap. You can try weld them back like I do in the video but you really have to reinforce them and never seems to last. I'm very rough on mine.

@@just_chace-ip2no will rub like mad with no lift and even then thing's need to be cut like in the video. Best size for a territory is 245 70 17

Both are still standard open diffs. Will upgrade at some point but lokka rear instead of the turetrac. They still get very far for what they are.

One in this video is my 2005 SX Territory. Brought it with 143000kms it's now got 340000kms and still going strong. Regular maintenance is key. I've also got a 2007 SY Territory with 320000kms.

Yeah I'm back up that way.

I mainly use mode 2 for most of my offroad driving. Mode 3 sometimes but more for steep flat stuff. Mode 1 can be useful in sand. The traction control system works really well for what it is.

It plugs into the pedal and adjusts the pedal response/throttle body

For the steering rack?

@@TerritoryOffroad it’s the second time my tie rod ends worn even though I’ve installed them properly and all of my suspension has been rebuilt

@@tamarachumbley8722 I still haven't got them to work yet. Only way I can see involves welding the knuckle. Because of this I also still don't know if the have enough movement for the territory's suspension travel. I'll post the link still if you want to take a look. Territory rack end's are to short so need RTV Falcon one's, need the shims each side and the dust cover also. au.rs-online.com/web/p/rod-ends/4688806

Yeah it's been a lot of fun. Hopefully the new one I'm slowly building will be even better.

The cooling system in the old SX has a lot of upgrades and dose better in my opinion. Was thinking about the Simpson Desert next year and I will need to sort out a better way to keep it cool.

@@TerritoryOffroad Simpson would be epic - yeah fair makes sense with all the work you've done to the SX. Good to see a fairly stock SY on the beach
