Delroy is an incurably underrated actor.. he plays someone who is a terrible warlord but is charismatic you can't helped but be intrigued by him. Him and Ernie were the standouts in the movie.

wth was up with this scene? it was so out of placed compared to the vibe and feel of the rest of the film. i loved it, but it always kept me scratching my head what the deal with it was.

Congo! Love this movie's coolest moments. The gorillas were ridiculous and poorly rendered, and the plot even moreso, but this Delroy Lindo scene, Ernie Hudson's suave sexy adventurer, and Tim Curry's always amazingly over the top character acting are such a joy. "Stop eating my sesame cake!" was such a baller moment in this movie, but my favorite lines were a very short moment from a character barely in the film. Joe Pantoliano (Cypher from The Matrix) met them at the airport when they arrived. He stamped their passports and told them he had fired the guide they had hired so they could go into the Congo with Ernie Hudson instead. I can quote it word for word to this day: "The Kaigani have HAD it with Zaire! AND they're eating people! You go in there with Roberts & Reynolds, then you're comin' out somebody's bowel movements!" Best quote of the movie.
