Glorious Glenmore canoeing at Loch Morlich
We took advantage of some gorgeous Scottish weather in June, 2023, to drive over the hills to Glenmore in the Cairngorms and enjoy a couple of days camping and some blissfully gentle paddling on Loch Morlich in our Hou Canoes 16ft Prospector. If you are an adrenaline junkie, this video is definitely NOT for you...!

A peaceful autumnal kayak outing on Loch Lochy in the Great Glen, Scotland, in October 2023. The two kayaks featured were a Dagger Stratos 14.5L and a 14.5S, both supplied for hire by RivertoSea Scotland, and the trip was a gentle round-trip 10k paddle from Bunarkaig to Gairlochy, stopping for a delightful lochside picnic along the way.

This short film, produced by Lowson Media, which features the activities of Aberdeen Amateur Radio Society, was joint winner of the "Groups" category at the prestigious Doric Film Festival 2023. The award was presented in a showcase ceremony at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in June 2023. Music composed by Graeme Henderson of Aberdeen Strathspey and Reel Society.

On a day-off visit to my home town, I was enjoying a quiet lunch at a harbourside restaurant when the pagers of the local lifeboat crew went off. Armed only with my hand-held Sony FDR-X3000 minicam, these few shots reflect the brilliant work by our "always own-call" maritime search and rescue services as they completed another successful shout. There's probably a reason why they did it that way, but why build the slipway heading towards the seawall! Couldn't they have angled it into the channel towards the harbour entrance?
