EucoFloor 404 high-performance concrete topping was used to repair portions of this floor in 2013. Based on how the product performed for 10 years, management decided to overlay the entire 40,000 sq.ft. tipping floor with the same material. American Restore did the work. Milling head on a Bobcat creating a keyway around the perimeter of a concrete floor. A keyway is necessary to securely anchor the edge of concrete overlay.

A previous emery topping had failed and the owners wanted a more durability surface for their tip floor. 6,000 sq.ft. of floor was milled (to remove the remaining emery topping) then was overlayed with EucoFloor 404 over a weekend. Floor returned to service 6 am Monday morning. Infrastructure Repair Service, LLC out of Lincoln Park, NJ did the work.

To resurface the tipping floor, asphalt had to be removed. The management wanted to improve the durability of the floor so they resurfaced it with a 12,000 psi concrete topping. City of Olathe, KS Transfer Station. 4300 sq.ft. Area near port edge had to be thickened to protect the port steel. This video shows how using a high-performance topping can be a good substitute to ripping out and replacing a concrete floor. It also shows how the topping was used to protect the floor trench drains. Infrastructure Repair Service (Lincoln Park, NJ) was the contractor who did the work. Kings County, California. The tipping floor at this solid waste transfer station was resurfaced in 2016. They do 350 Tons/Day operating 6 day a week. In Aug of 2022 I went back to look at the floor.
