I wrote 4 of the songs for the Glenn W. Levey band. Kids loved it.
When I saw and heard this in 1964 Washington DC vacation with my family it has stayed with me since then. I was 8 yrs old. Absolutely the best musical score ever created for a flick.
4:51 Love a drive in the country Don't you ?
The early Bond movies were the best, editing, cinematography, John Barrys score, exotic locations, simply magical-set the bar so high never to be equalled.
00:00 Bucks fizz
Thr best Bond movie
This is my FAVOURITE Bond film.... it's got literally everything in it. And the ending from the mine scene onwards..... 👌
Very well put together! Good job XD!
Just very magic ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Absolutely the best soundtrack of all Bonds
When I was very young, I went into the mysterious world while watching this movie.
❤💯
JOHN BARRY FCKN LEGEND
Mr. Kidd did you see the children's faces ❤
The Mujahedeen excerpt is so freaking good it hurts.

The one and only vic flick on guitar
Absolutely brilliant -John Barrys scores made the Bond movies great.
my childhood memories.... which i didn't even live...
Most people choose The Spy Who Loved Me, but, in my opinion, Eyes was Moore's best Bond film. It thankfully returned Bond back to earth and back to the original Ian Fleming source material. Except for a few cues, I'm not an overall fan of the Conti score. Before David Arnold, I felt George Martin's Live And Let Die score was the best of the non-John Barry Bond scores. While Eyes & Spy had excellent Bond themes (Sheena Easton & Carly Simon), I feel the scores just didn't measure up to the task.
Spy certaiinly rekindled the box office success of the series after the low performing Golden Gun. However, in many ways, Spy was a remake of You Only Live Twice (instead of kidnapped space capsules, it was kidnapped submarines, the villain wants to ignite a war between 2 super powers, Bond is teamed with a female foreign agent, Q delivers a vehicle with a last name of Nellie, long battle sequence in the lair or lair proxy, Hans/Jaws, etc etc) Actually Tomorrow Never Dies also repeats many of these same Bond tropes, but I think it's far more clever that the villain wants to trigger WW3 for higher tv ratings; excellent 😊
It's Thunderball.
Spy certainly rekindled the box office success of the series after the low performing Golden
The Carly Simon theme is definitely a top 5 Bond Theme. Marvin Hamlisch has composed excellent scores for The Way We Were, Sophie's Choice, adapted The Sting score, but, in my opinion, his Spy score was lacking. It's hard to match the high quality & distinctive themes of John Barry's 11 Bond scores, especially Barry's OHMSS score. George Martin & David Arnold have certainly come close. Still the Spy album (which is a re-recording and not the original film cues) is a good easy listening album. As a Bond & OST collector, I would definitely welcome a release of the complete original Hamlisch film cues.
😊❤🎉💯!!!!
For years, I felt this was the best of the non-John Barry Bond scores. I think it is only surpassed by David Arnold's scores for Tomorrow Never Dies & Casino Royale. George Martin completely understood the assignment composing memorable secondary themes and brilliantly incorporating the McCartney theme as an action cue like Barry did. Another excellent Bond OST post!!
Another Barry Bond score that needs the LaLa Land 2 cd treatment. So many unreleased cues from Goldfinger to enjoy.
When I heard Eric Serra was doing GoldenEye, I was excitied having enjoyed his score for La Femme Nikita. However, I was ultimately disappointed by the score. Even EON realized their mistake when they had another arr/orches re-score the tank chase sequence so the Bond Theme was more recogniable. In my opinion, the film would have benefited greatly with a John Barry or David Arnold (or Michael Kamen) score. I think this & Michel Legrand's score for Never Say Never Again were missteps to put it politely. However, David Arnold has said he likes Serra's GE score, so.....
I received my copy of the LaLa Land 2 cd expanded/complete Octopussy 40th Ann OST (along with Live And Let Die) over the weekend just in time for my 65th Bday. It's a fantastic listen. Highly reccomnend if you're a Bond or OST collector. Definitively one of Barry's better (post 60s) Bond scores.
Another Barry Bond score that needs LaLa Land to release s 2 cd expanded/complete version. Like every Bond fan out here, I too have the 30th Ann 2 cd and 2003 TB expanded versions (plus the poorly compiled vinyl LP) I guess in 2025 maybe 😊
If any Barry Bond score deserved a 2 cd expanded/complete LaLa Land release, it certainly is FRWL, although I've read the original masters are lost. Nic Raine (a former John Barry orchestrator) did an ecxellent brief FRWL suite containing some of the Barry unreleased cues on the cd titled Bond Back In Action. Thanks for posting this wonderful trip down Bond memory lane.
After 25 (technically 27) Bond films, OHMSS remains my favorite Bond film. It was an excellent adaptation by Richard Maibaum of Ian Fleming's novel (2nd of the Blofeld Trilogy) It has, in my opinion, John Barry's best Bond score (as you can hear😊) Broccoli & Saltzman did make an effort to get Barry's score an Oscar nomination; it certainly deserved it. While I love the 2003/Lukas Kendal expanded edition, I'm hoping LaLa Land (as they've recently done with other Bond scores) will release a 2 cd complete version this fantastic Barry Bond gem.
Now watch the movie without the soundtrack …still a good movie but lacking depth and emotion

Golden sands clear salty water that makes you float...xxx
I was fortunate to visit james bonds island on my many visits to thialand spent the day there totally amazing...xxx
The film was mediocre (except for Grace Jones being badass), but I really dig the soundtrack.
Cute🥰

This is the big one 007-and so it was -one of the great Bond movies!
I love Bill Conti's score for this film
Great soundtrack but horrendous plot. Connery's presence made the movie.
John Barry was unavailable and wisely recommended Conti to the producers. The result was this rocking, muscular score to accompany a relatively more "gritty" Moore entry; it all worked out really well!
