Very nice video! I would add that the most persecuted religion in America... Hands down are Muslims. Every since 9/11 I don't think there is even a competition between the two. I know of no other religion where just by what you wear you get automatic hate or fear.

Most politicians have good intentions and then they get in and they become wicked because it’s too hard. Trump might not have been that great but as he became president, I saw a change in him. He has become a different man. He’s a better man than he was when he was first, elected.

The reason we go by members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and not "Mormons" is because that was the revealed name given by the lord when the church was restored. He said if it be the church of a man it is called after a man, but if it is my church it will be called in my name. And we honor that. It was never the "Mormon" church but we were nicknamed that because of the Book of Mormon: another testament of Jesus Christ. The Bible testifies of Jesus Christ as does the Book of Mormon. I went through the Book of Mormon and marked every mention of the Lords name (Lord, God, Father, Son, Messiah, Holy One of Israel, Christ, Lord God omnipotent, Jehovah, Eternal Judge, Maker, etc) I could find and marked it in blue. The whole book was plastered on almost every single page all over. It is a visual representation and reminder of how it is not just something we say. We believe in Him.

I'm open to any further truth I can get my hands on. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ I respect your desire to stay on safe doctrinal ground. I would suggest however that you can keep all the truth you have without abandoning anything true in the LDS church. We don't need to fear the truth anywhere. I agree with the infighting of Christianity and the judgement. "By this shall men know ye are my disciples if ye have love one for another" Also thank you for your example and building bridges.

Theres a difference between policies and procedures and scriptures and personal opinions. They all can be corrupted. Only a true sincere prayer and a spiritual experience, and a true reply from God (not in a piece of toast) can confirm anything. Start praying and asking God, hes the source. I have received visions and dreams and waking revelation all my life. I joined the lds Church at the age of 22 because of a personal spiritual experience. I know this is where im meant to be. Many times (before and after joining) i would have out of body experiences where i was quickened to be in christs presence. Its worth trying. But if you choose what you are currently, with no spiritual experiences, please dont dictate to others what you think is wrong about them. Im not here to seek my own truth, but THE TRUTH no matter if i like it or not.

I'm lds in South Australia. There's truth and false concepts shared when you read out that list. You may want to get all the facts from the lds church. Thanks for trying to be friendly, though. (We do have internal issues because we have people, and people aren't perfect). You need to study better. We understand christs atonement covers all people. But faith and baptism and other ordinances require acting. Imagine if the apostles just listened to Jesus and didn't walk around and preach. Actions demonstrate level of commitment and that we hear him, the atonement covers us. Unlike the other couple that that spoke you aren't as sincere. (1) You'll need to ask the ojibwe nation about where adam and Eve were. They had the information first. (Eden may not have been on earth). They just released their information (scrolls). They agree with the Book of Mormon. (2) the nemenhah records (book, second complete edition). Released by the native Americans themselves (our church doesn't support it ironically), they support the Book of Mormon. The Maori records (not yet released) also know the connections. Policies and procedures and scriptures can also be manipulated by man. I had a personal spiritual experience. Please be more tolerant. The bible says Luke 9:49-50. "Those that aren't against me are for me." Jesus said to his prejudiced apostles to be more tolerant.

  • @andrewreed4216

We arent the most persecuted (im lds in South Australia). I would encourage having a personal spiritual experience instead of trusting scriptures alone, as scriptures can be altered. Thanks for your honesty and respectfulness. I believe we should be more united too. Luke 9:49-50 "those who aren't against me are for me ". Jesus teaches religious tolerance to his apostles (on many occassions). Im not trying to convert you. I agree you should be yourselves. Yes, people can be elitist. Trust where christ directs you. Yes, theres to much division. You video is fantastic. Heres something interesting. The native Americans themselves are releasing their records (not acknowledged by the lds church). The nemenhah records (book, second complete edition). The ojibwe nation records (under translation now). They back the book of Mormon. I respect them. I had a vision before, during, and after reading the nemenhah records. Jesus appeared in the last one and said "don't persecute my people the nemenhah ". Just like you're saying we should love one another.

I think Jesus is mourning. The one who is laughing is Satan because he is the one who divides.! Everyone who profess Christ acts like him.wouldn’t be making all these videos, condemning others. For the most part and I’m not saying all, but most evangelicals are modern day Pharisees. As Stephen Pinaker says if I leave my church, I’m definitely not going to join them. And he’s a evangelical Christian. We can all learn from each other, despite our differences and move towards being united in the faith Christ to bring our other brothers and sisters to Him, so that his atonement wasn’t in vain for those who have not yet accept him.

3 things: 1. Thank you, for truly trying. 2. There's another channel called Hello Saints! It's run by a protestant pastor called Jeff, and he's not a convert, but he is actually trying to understand us like you guys are, finding the similarities and differences. 3.A book you might try is The Greatest Quest, by Blaine M. Yorgason. It is slightly fictional, in that they changed the names to honor people's privacy, but it has a list of points pulled from the Bible that are interesting and key pieces. I don't mean for conversion, but like you said, "At their heart, they admit he is their salvation." The points are at the heart of it.

Asking about *apostles*... the LDS church has a quorum or council of 12 apostles that are called by revelation. They are the 2nd highest governing body of the church, where the 1st Presidency (the Prophet and his 2 councilors) are the highest governing body. We believe that the church president is in direct revelatory communication with Christ himself when it comes to church matters.

Millenarianism (lat.) or "hiliasm" (Greek) in the Christian tradition is the belief that at the end of time Christ will appear in glory and establish the Kingdom of God on earth. A happy reign that should last for 1,000 years will be preceded by a series of adversities. Although it is a teaching present among some early Christians, whose falsification was heresy, millenarianism is also present in many modern ideologies, which is why its influence on society is significant. Therefore, in the new 'Historical Quarter', among other things, we talk about the causes and development of millenarianism, shed light on the historical myth of mass social panic due to the end of the world on the eve of the year 1000, and show how it manifests itself in today's time.

Mormonism - The belief that there are three distinct Gods: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which is the opposite of the Trinity doctrine of One God. Belief also includes faith in the God of the Heavenly Mother. When a man dies, he becomes like God. Along with the Bible, they believe in 3 other books. The books Mormons believe to be divine are: the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. The prophet Joseph Smith, who, according to Mormon belief, was visited by an angel.

I have said this before. Latter-day Saints don't mind not having fellowship with other Christians as believers in worship. There are huge differences. However, to say "Mormons" are not Christians (or worse don't believe in Jesus the Christ as our Savior) is to bear false witness. Even calling Mormons "false Christians" is at least acknowledging who they believe they are worshiping.

Mark Winger? FLDS are separate differing in doctrine as they still actively practice polygamy in this life. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have not practiced polygamy in this life for quite a while Wilford Woodruff being one of the early prophets is the one who revealed to the church it would no longer be in this life.

I love this! Thank you. It takes a big person to say “sorry”. I just want to add to what has been said- I love Jesus with my whole heart. He is the foundation of all we do in our religion. He is the cornerstone of our faith. My teenage daughter loves Him and calls Him her best friend. I have the same feelings. We, as Christians, all have so much more in common than anyone would imagine! I always tell my kids this- even regarding the Christian church up the street that’s teaching their people to hate us. Makes me sad. We all love Jesus! What an amazing thing that is.

This is so sweet of you guys. I didn't see your other video, but this is still so special to hear. Thank you. ❤️ To your question at the end- (people may have already said it in the other comments, but..) actually the most important part of our name we want to have emphasized more is where Jesus Christ is. He is the center of our church. So even rather than LDS, we and our prophet kindly ask people to not leave Jesus out of our name. You can even leave off the LDS part if it feels too long. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Or you could say, the restored Church of Jesus Christ. We do not want to offend, disappoint, or sadden Jesus, by not remembering Him Whose name we bear. He is our Lord, Master, Savior, Redeemer, and everything. Even many members of our church still refer to themselves as Mormons or LDS because those are nicknames we've been given and adopted for so long. But our prophet has recently emphasized to us the importance of keeping Jesus Christ in our church name, as commanded by Jesus Himself, and not using those other nicknames. I love Jesus so so much, and I'm so honored to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, striving to take His name upon me more every day.

I voted for Biden last election because I thought that Trump was too narcissistic to be a good president. Biden was Catholic and seemed moderate in his political opinions, so I thought he would do a better job. But MY GOODNESS I am not happy with what has happened politically. I think you guys are so right about Satan throwing his whole hand in. It seems like the democratic part has gone off the rails! I also believe that God saved Donald Trump’s life during the assassination attempt by influencing him to move his head at just the right time. So I’ll probably be voting Trump this election.

Glad to hear someone is finally recognizing the hate coming from the “Christian” community. If you want to build bridges, try to understand what they actually believe and why. You’ll have to dig deep b/c their theology is not as superficial as you might think. The FLDS were all excommunicated at the beginning of the 19th century. They are *not* part of the LDS church - they are apostates. No LDS recognize their prophet as an actual prophet. LDS have a fairly strict view of Priesthood and priesthood transmission, and the FLDS from an LDS perspective would be considered outside of the body of the church.

  • @makanaima

The biggest misconception that Evangelicals have about the LDS is they don’t understand their underlying metaphysical model and how that plays out into their theology.
