Yes Jesse is not looking that far ahead, he is still mad that he was manipulated into working with Walt again after the way he treated him and he just wants some kind of control over his life and decisions plus he still thinks he has to be the bad guy

Yea it's not Gus paying Jesse Walt is splitting his paycheck with him but he doesn't realize that and he is also getting security and Gus makes a lot but also has to pay a lot of people in all his companies

I love how The Blue Spirit gives even more complexity to Zuko's character. He's so well written and seeing his internal struggle is absolutely fascinating. Can't wait for you to see the rest of this season :)

In the beginning discussion you said how last episode zuko and aang acted differently than past mistakes. But in actuality zuko went all the way back and acted how his true self does from the war meeting. Protecting and standing up for his people

We see how well Aang & Zuko work together, we get a brief glimpse of how Momo sees the world (gotta love it), and most importantly we see that Zuko's motivation in his quest for the Avatar is much more personal than patriotic.

Thrilled to see another Avatar reaction! I especially enjoy the back half of season 1.

How very interesting to follow up The Storm with The Blue Spirit. Aang and Zuko really do have a thread of fate connecting them, whether they want to admit it or not. The Fortuneteller is a fun episode overall that still manages to have an interesting angle on both blind faith, but also shows Sokka being a bit of a stick in the mud by going in the complete opposite extreme. They could have easily made Aunt Wu out to be someone conning the town and the ending would have turned everyone against her, but I like that our group just went with some clever trickery instead. In the end, her predictions were still technically true so who can say for sure? It really was nice to have a break and have a more chill episode....you know, if saving a village from a volcano counts as chill!

The Office creators still wish they could have written a scene as cringe as the Skyler scene, I literally can’t watch it

This episode proves the fire lord was a fool to banish zuko. Not only did he throw away a capable warrior and infiltrator. He cost the fire nation a victory. The fire nation won here. They had aang dead to rights and katara and sokka were in no position to help. If the fire lord didn't banish zuko and treat him like trash they would have won right here and now.

Sad show with adult themes in a cartoon is good

Love your reactions. The Great Divide is fun for it's different animation styles and the old earth bender guide. I even like Aang's fib at the end although many fans seem to dislike it. Now The Storm is on another level, one of the best of season one and it would be a top ten for the series except that there are so many excellent episodes to come.

I think the recently-popularized approach of not watching the intro to avoid spoilers is not really a good approach. I get it but the intros were designed in a very deliberate way and are meant to be watched along with the show, and are shown at a timing considered the right timing by the directors etc. Watching them makes the watching experience so much better, and there are very mild spoilers that aren't really spoilers, and the things happening in the intros don't necessarily happen in the show itself so you can never actually know what's going to happen from just watching the intro. I always feel bad for reactors who skip them, it really takes away from the experience

Finally meeting the Survey Corps! Some real fan favorites there. As fantastical as the core issue in this series is, it is....disturbingly realistic in that often times people will devolve into petty squabbling amongst themselves rather than work together to take care of the true threat.

I know i first thought that knowing Jesse he would feel bad for Hank, and i think he did at first because of who he is to Walt but as he thought about it he feels that Karma got Hank back for beating him up

I noticed there no _Expanse_ books on your shelf. That i can see anyway. Have you ever watched the show? Both the show and books are amazing.

Others have said it, but The Great Divide is largely seen as the "worst" episode in the series...and it's not like it's bad, it just has a bit less to chew on compared to some others. I think the fact that it's immediately followed by The Storm doesn't do it any favors. It still demonstrates a good lesson for kids that bearing grudges can lead to problems that persist long after the initial problem. The Storm is just a great way to flesh out Aang and Zuko. As early as the second episode of the series, Aang mentioned he "never wanted to be" the Avatar and now we know why. I can't imagine the amount of pressure placed on someone so young, let alone survivor's guilt thrown on top of that. And if you weren't already convinced there's some good in Zuko, this episode definitely won him a lot of fans. Here's a not-so-fun trivia bit you might see in Zuko's flashback too; as Iroh looks away when Zuko is burned, Zhao is there grinning. Glad to see more of these reactions. I was excited to see you get to The Storm but there's still some good stuff to come.

The Great Divide is considered the "less good" of all the series. And yet, is at least funny.

There is two theories with episode 12: One, the division of soldiers Zuko defend is the one that travels with him, at the end he prioritize his wellbeing in the plan and the field. Two, the scar of Zuko has a form like something was put in that zone, some says Ozai heat his hand and put it in Zuko's face until burn the skin and more painful

Aang is not only practicing air bending since long ago btw, hes already a certified *master* airbender too They dont say it in the main series but thats what the tatoos mean

Ah yes another ATLA reaction! While not technically anime it did have some inspiration from eastern cultures... and when I was younger it did open my mind to watching shows as actual anime such as Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, Jojo's, etc so yeah I have deep appreciation for this show... also it has been said Aang was inspired personality wise to the famous Monkey King himself Sun Wukong like a load of other media like this

Not sure if anyone mentioned but heres a fun fact that isn't explained in the shows: Apparently there are 13(iirc) techniques that an airbender must master to receive the markings of a master. 1-12 can be mastered in any order and at any time but #13 has to be mastered at an older age/you receive #13 via hitting a certain age (i forget which). But #13 can be negated if the airbender creates a brand new technique! Aang created the air scooter and therefore became the youngest airbending master at 12 years old! Also among fans the great divide is considered to be the lowest point in the series so congrats on hitting the milestone! It's all up from here as you could probably tell from the storm lol

What you described in regards to Zuko, you have to keep watching. You've got a long way to go as you watch the series. There will be moments where he disappoints and he redeems himself entirely.

I was so thrilled to see another Avatar reaction! Two more incredible episodes. The Great Divide gives us some neat insight into air nomad philosophy, and The Storm draws some really good parallels between Aang and Zuko. i love the running theme between both episodes about perspectives and their opposites.

I think you're watching the TV Broadcast versions of these episode since some of the animation looks a bit goofy. Attack on Titan is sort of notorious for having a pretty messy production. Only giving a couple months to animate a bunch of episodes. Episodes being completed hours before broadcast time. And episodes straight up being aired unfinished like in these batch of episodes. So the TV Broadcast verions of these episodes will be a tad bit rough sometimes considering the circumstances behind the scenes. All of it is fixed in the blu-ray release and updated in some streaming releases.

These episodes really do fly by! Quite the series of cliffhangers! All too often I feel like strategist characters in media don't come across as clever as they should be, but Armin definitely feels like one the better written ones. He's sharp and is already piecing together some of the bigger mysteries in the series but he's still a kid and has to wrestle with a lot of self-doubt. Looking forward to your next reactions!

I never thought about the sword carrying the vibration of Armin's voice into the titan body! That makes perfect sense now, as there was no reason for him to leave the sword buried except for possible grip. Just another scene I will never look at the same way again. :P
