Master Duel really needs a better PvE experience. The story duels are extremely lackluster and I wish they would make a similar experience to Duel links. Also better Ai

Finally got enough to make a budget deck myself but was able to build a full goblin biker deck as f2p so ehh the biker deck is fun if you like taking players cards and detaching xyz mats not really my cup of tea regardless this vid is a huge help with my budget build tysm

First of all, shame of you for the clic bait, guess you needed it beacuse yugioh videos are not doing great for you either. Second, its too early to say the he will switch to Pokemon, the game just released globaly, every game at release get a big start is there is hype behind it, and Pokemon just happens to be a popular IP. Third MD the enviroment Dkayed does bussiness on, youtube videos might be doing not as good as the yugioh ones, but stream wise is different, he has a whole community built up there already that gives him more.

Rush Duel should be a better Entry point for newbie, or at least it's Solo Mode to understand more cards first... Yugioh is like RTS so you can't play without "Build Order" practice

Yugioh needs to stop making evey single good car UR and put more UR in pack just to start, remove the generic same boss monsters, and remove every last floodgate. Lets just start there. Make the game interactive again. Stop all this 10 minute turn crap that set up unbreakable boards. Its almost like learning a new language for new beginners or returning players. This game is very discouraging.

I stopped playing MD because every time I tried to build a deck, I straight up couldn’t afford it 🤷‍♂️ Pokemon TCG live I scanned the hundreds of QR codes that came with the packs I buy my daughter. I have multiple decks and haven’t actually spent on the digital game once (I was going to buy those packs for my kid regardless) The pull rates are absolutely abysmal and seem comically rigged.

Me personally im just tired of playimg copy and paste simulator. Like id say 70% of players cant build a viable deck from scratch. What happened to building a deck around an archetype that you genuinely like? People dont get on to have fun anymore, they just want to use the meta decks and win. Its mad weird.

GIve me best of 3 now, I'm so sick of running into one trick pony gimick decks and having absolutely no out, side decks are essential to yugioh. Why do they even do this, too low attention spans of players? I speculated they held back bo3 to introduce it later on so that every established player has to shill out for gems to get more of the staples for a side deck, but shouldn't it be time for that already?

I'm playing Pokemon pocket and it's really fun. I feel like the way that pocket is doing events and card collection is a definite good idea that MD could implement. Like setup an event against a deck and if you beat that deck x amount of times you get a UR from that deck.

add goat and edison formats, normal/rare only events, a better format for new players ( i believe ranked meta is incredibly confusing for a new player, decks have 30+ step combos that end on very strong boards often with omni negates so you rely on handtraps to stop these at the right moments, but the only way to learn these for a new player is either watching a ton of gameplay which they won't do or just losing over and over in ranked which will demoralize them into quitting). also they need to work on trying to have a more healthy main format, currently it's not so bad sure a bunch of floodgates 'cus of tenpai popularity and the top decks are incredibly stronger than tier 3 and below, but when we get fiendsmith ( and varu for yubel) it really seems like an unfun format to play in with over half the decks you run into just being a "oh look, another fiendsmith deck". i believe more archetypes should type lock, or at least attribute lock, this will encourage more unique deck builds (though attribute lock won't solve the snakeye problem so that would have to be type)

It is more like a Yu Gi Oh issue than a Master Duel issue. Its mostly due to the powercreep. From full negate boards to handtraps to one card combos leading to 7-10 disruptions to insanely strong going second deck. It is just band aid after band aid without fixing the game main problem. There is little to no play. 9 games out of 10 it is decided by the coin toss or the handtrap game .

Dkayed just follows the money, that's why he made 7 days marathon when MD was released and left Duel links after 5 years fulltime

I've been playing MD since release, and at least 3-5x a week since. It's never been boring, has the best reward system for affording new releases, and always has something new added. It's difficult to see MD going anywhere anytime soon. Games pop fast, games play fast, and you can get a lot done in a small amount of time. It's tough to find a better Yu-Gi-Oh experience on a whim, and Dkayed has been great at contributing to the publics knowledge of the meta and how to jump in and play around it. I can't speak for pokemon, but naturally anyone would enjoy incorporating more income with a parallel franchise 🤷🏽

it is not fair comparing master duel to mtga and saying yugioh is dying when mtga has a lot less players than master duel, it is just those are the players that are interested in the game and you have to consider card games are a niche. Also not fair comparing master duel's steam numbers and dkayed's views on the game to pokemon tcg pocket, because it is a new game, pokemon is such a huge franchise and the game is actually made for mobile systems, you should compare it just with duel links because that was actually made to run on a phone while the experience to play master duel on mobile is miserable. Also pokemon TCG pocket is a new game of a huge franchise, of course it attracts more viwers, even ones who never played the tcg before, it will drop eventually.

you´re so right in everything you said man, I think Yugioh was awesome when it was about duel monsters, now it is more about playing against an A.I which negate whatever card you choose to play with, even if there are thousands of cards in the game that shit chooses the particular cards to negate precisely whatever strategy you have in mind, I got sick of that game because after reaching platinum level using a tenpai deck I always lose 4 duels then won only 1, maybe they think this kinda rate pushes people to spend a lot of money buying gems but that´s not my case 😅

He's gonna continue to keep hopping on the newer bigger trends for profit. It's just who he is. It all started with duel links. Nothing wrong with getting that bag, but this doesn't mean yugioh is literally dying. I mean duel links is still a thing to my surprise lol. I can already see that pokemon TCG meta website coming from a mile away, I'm 90% sure he'll make it.

As someone that just started playing Master Duel to scratch a yugioh itch, the game is so oppressive as hell now. They just need to add Goat and Edison format. There is no way new players or yugi boomers like me are gonna sink money into this.

I hate the tier 0 formats. Tear 0 and this tenpai crap is annoying.

They need to have alternative formats. Not only that, but have the Festivals have a monthly rotation cycle. And ocg/tcg mode.

To be fair I think his stream is dying because of the fact that he leaked out people's decks during that last world's tournament and people were extremely upset of that and probably is boycotting him because of that

I made the rule of doing squats if my opponent goes first, until is my turn to play. After a week i can almost jump to the moon. Best sport game 10/10

Why YuGiOh is dying? Because Ash Blossom, Maxx C, and All negate the monster effect. When you try to punch people and someone says STOP !! punching is prohibited NEGATED. It didn't feel good at all. Instead of negating just punch each other until Life Point is drained, This is a better feeling than being negated.

Magic the Gathering has low amount of players on steam, Master Duel has 6x more...Master Duel has a consistent amount of players around 40k on steam but it is not able to increase its player base because the game is not beginner friendly, it is to difficult for new players to get into YUGiOH...they need to completely remake the rules which would mean remaking the cards and that is so much work that I cant see them doing it since it would be a total different game, u will piss of the veterans eventually losing them while banking everything on getting new players, to much of a risk. They actually released a new game by changing the rules/cards to make it beginner friendly, they released Rush Duel but did it help?

The problem I feel with MD is the fact that it is just "competitive mode" all the time. You would think the "casual mode" to be casual. But, in reality, it's just the ranked mode with no ranking. The same events they keep running every month aren't any different just with a slightly different banlist. There should have been alternative formats implemented long ago but Konami just doesn't care. I'm not even sure if Konami want this game to be big in the first place.

I'm still waiting on the game that allows you to create a deck for the NPC to use... also, customizing your own character with any skill on Duel Links would be a great move...

I really don’t care about the health and prosperity of the game. Konami and Nintendo are both trash that tries to rob it’s fan base. It’s obvious that Konami does not know how to promote its business. Also Nintendo has the biggest franchise in the world, so it’s clear that a lot of people will be drawn to it. But in all honesty, Pokémon Pocket look’s and feels like shit. People are blind and stupid and are drawn to the game because of the franchise not because of the game itself.

As for Master Duel, i'm not keen on the 5 minute combos or stun decks either. I just do my dailies, log out unless theirs an event where i grind hard for free gems like upcoming trial and duelist cup events.

Been trying Pokemon Pocket but doesn't seem as good as Duel Links but all i've been doing on Pocket is opening my daily pack then logging out. Not really tried battling yet.

i only log to yugioh to keep up with the dailies, i stopped caring about meta for a few months now. switched to pokemon and as of now, collecting cards is alright but the game has issues tho, if the tcg is an indication to know where is going, it is far more of a solitaire game that yugioh ever was and i am not sure for how much long i can keep with it tbh. besides that it did unlocked old pokemon nostalgia and i went on a huge side tangent about catching up with pokemon and rescuing my mons from the pokemon bank lol. for a brief moment thought about jumping into 8/9 gen, but the between the games, expansions, home + online, it becomes super expensive only to be up to date. Yugioh has to step up not only on master duel but with side games as well, the old game collection is coming up and it is fine but i hope it has some work put into it to improve the games and is not just a rom bundle. and they could make a dungeon dice game or other spin offs, they gave up in expanding yugioh like 20 years ago and they should do more stuff.

MD desperately needs to put alternate formats into ranked as a permanent feature imo. Would love to play some goat format without having to have friends who play or have access to a discord server or whatever

I thought the same, pokemon tcg having a huge release and Master Duel with the most boring selection pack lineup in a long time could be bad. And tbh with Dkayed Pokémon fans are most "consoomer" that Yu-Gi-Oh

The thing I hate most about Master Duel is that they don't give us all the cards for the group, but rather give us one as support. Where is the Exodia group, for example? And they only think about making money. There is a difference of more than 500 cards between the OCG and Master Duel. Where are these cards? And there are many demands that we ask for and do not get.

Yu-Gi-Oh is unbalanced and basically a game nowadays thats become a game where you go first or you sit there for 5 to 10 minutes to get everything in your hand negated. Theres nothing worse than spending time, effort, and even money to sit and watch someone play solitaire. 🤷
