Our second day on the Isle of Wight began with a refreshing start after a good night’s sleep. We brewed some coffee in our hotel room and set off at 8 am, heading to the serene Freshwater Bay Beach. Despite the drizzly weather, the peaceful atmosphere and cool temperature were perfect for a morning stroll.
We then embarked on a hike along the Military Road coastal path, which led us to the top of a mountain. The mesmerizing views made the climb worthwhile. With no one else around, we enjoyed sprinting, running, and screaming in the open air, making the most of the beautiful solitude.
Next, we visited Godshill, where we had a much-needed breakfast at a charming cafe. Our adventure continued at Godshill Model Village, a delightful miniature representation of the entire island. The intricate details and artistry were captivating.
Finally, we made our way back to East Cowes for our return ferry to Southampton, and from there, we drove back to Brandon, ending our wonderful weekend trip.
