Thanks so much my e34 m5 should really wake up

HI I need a pointer please. I have a 90 Miata with a mm9093 PNP. Everything seems to work really well other than it idles when hot at 1950rpm. Can you, or anyone reading this, give me an idea of where to look, to adjust the hot idle speed. I would be very greatful.. Currently running Megatune 2.25 p1 software

Good gain simply from replacing ecu. ~12-13% BTW this motor should have 168 hp on stock ecu. The freshly rebuilt engine might go up to ~190hp if a 13% gain remains.

Why does it read RPM and not Tooth Count when clearly your hand is moving it via Tooth Count?

Hello I have a question I baught a Megasquirt 1 v3 that was built up to 50a on the assembly I bleave its hall optical, the vr setup was left out my question is could I use this hall sensor with a 36-1 trigger wheel that I just baught from diy and use spark a b c d wasted spark with coils that have built in igniters, if it's possible what mods do I have to do to the bord and what setup in tuner studio do I use any help would be great thanks.

Very cool. Love the stand alone testing setup.. and subsequent data. However... I also CriNgED when I heard that (unguarded) blade come up to speed (which was 10x faster than I would have imagined). The slightest imbalance could send that thing to the moon. We don't want you to end up with a "split personality"? Like to keep you around for more "show and tells"... Cheers.

I did have a question about MegaSquirt's ability to keep track of the CKP signal at high RPM. Now, I'm pretty sure it could measure my CKP signal even if going super sonic flying past an F-16 @ Mach ridiculous.

i want to built something like this, but maybe with VR sensor and more prorection. What motor do you use to achieve high rpm? Brushless motor?

Just read over all of the comments. Thank you all for your concern for my safety... I knew it was not wise to run without a guard, did it for the video though. And soon thereafter we put a 1" think steel guard around the perimeter and a thick lexan lid on it. We use it at tradeshows and such now, with a full fuel system and ignition system spraying fuel and throwing sparks. Come check it out at PRI in December in Indianapolis.

so the engine originally had only 142 hp at the crank (15% drivetrain loss, 121 hp wheels). that's bad coming from 170.. still after tuning only 160 crank horsies

With a restrictive air metering system like the Vane Air Meter on my XR4Ti engine, going with MS allows me to remove it completely and make a huge amount of more power. Right now I run rich all the time due to elevated baseline fuel pressure. Still runs lean at WOT at high load/RPM. DIYPNP is my only option for fixing this. I expect a 40HP+ gain by removing the VAM and getting a proper tune.

I have the same trigger whell on my car, but i am using a MS2 3.57. Some how, the RPMs in TunerStudio are super high up to 15000 when my actual engine's RPMs are around 800-1200. What do you have in the settings? Toothed wheel, basic trigger? I am not getting what's going on. Thanx!
