The pain of using Neos spacian in Tag Force 3 is unbelievable, I played the first campaign with Jaden and his deck was so garbage that his counterpart from classic era had a 10× better deck and that's sad, Honestly Neo spacians were Gladiator Beasts prototypes and it's kinda sad since neo spacians have potential

All jokes aside the prologue was very well written, you touched on some very accurate and often overlooked aspects of speedsters as characters and how innately you need a good writer in order to get a compelling speedster, just maybe lower the background music a bit loll 🔥🔥

I will live and die on the Nouvelles hill. Sure I want them to add Couverture cards that make Pendulum Summon actually usable so Pattisciel is more than just forcing an attack mode monster on the opponent, but for all the struggles getting to Level 6 double monster wipe, it sure does a good job at ending the game.

They really need to make reworks of the main neos soacians and their fusion maybe call them neo spacian HEro in the titles to give more synergy then update the stats and effects

Make ritual monsters summonable from the deck. Simple as.

I’m sure a lot of people will disagree with you but you’re right. Why is Konami constantly power creeping all of the Extra Deck mechanics when they could be making Ritual Monsters more broken to balance out the game and justify playing them? I guess they have sort of done this recently with archetypes like Drytron, Nekroz, Nouvelles, etc, but it’s not enough when you keep making the other mechanics more needlessly powerful at the same time. The other mechanics also get a lot of upgrades through subversions of their summoning requirements (Contact Fusion, Rank-Up, etc.), which we have only started seeing recently with archetypes like Megalith and Drytron. Konami should focus on these upgrades for Rituals so that there’s just as much variety in play within Ritual archetypes as there is in most Extra Deck archetypes.

We could also cut the middle-man and get rid of the spell, would make things easier

Nekroz literarly did everything and more that you suggested. Deck was playable for 2 formats. And no rush rules dont fix them. If anything they make them worse due to tributing being a reliable summoning method.

To be fair, they've alredy fixed the issue with Rituals, they just seem to be *dragging their feet* in applying these solutions. The Rituals refunding you for the resources you spent making them, Effect inheritance from the materials used for them and Ritual Spells that let you grab said materials from pretty far away places. But with Konami evolving the other alternate summoning mechanics at such a faster rate, Rituals can't seem to keep up -_- (For reference, Shaddolls were alredy a thing significantly before Nekroz)

In other words, the solution is: Just make more stuff like full power Drytron.

ok, but they have already done this tho... Gishiki, Nekroz, Drytron and Voiceless Voice were/are all meta viable ritual decks. The mechanic doesn't need fixing, it's always been fine.

Drytron makes pretty much any ritual monster significantly better by viture of the sheer card advantage to actually support multiple ritual summons but instead of supporting interesting rituals its used for Herald fuck you turbo

Another issue with rituals is that even if the Boss is Broken the steps to get him on the field are bad, like if you lose a ritual you basically wasted at least 2 cards in your hand and probably doesn't have a plan B because the monsters supporting said monster can't do anything but ritual summon but the new deck Mitsurugi is a good step making you use materials from the deck or summon from the deck, it's not perfect but it's there

Rituals being added to Rush Duel is cool and all but I can't help but feel like Rush Duel is making the same fumble that the original game had in summoning mechanics, where they're simply indistinguishable from one another. It's one of the largest issues with the Extra Deck, that there are four mechanics using it that feel too similar to one another (and Konami's favorite of the four gets to basically steal the best parts of the other mechanics, then get given even more advantages). Fusions are going in the same direction as the normal game, with more generic materials and the addition of Contact Fusion. So Ritual Summoning as it is seems like it's going to basically be the same in terms of how it feels gameplay-wise - this is doubly so with how Rush Duel introduced archetypal Fusion Spells before the Ritual mechanic - i.e. Fusions already have the mechanics of being able to have flexible materials and unique spells, before Rituals even were a thing.

The new ritual reptile monsters are a nice step in the right direction, good bosses with search effects that help replenish you hand and, of course, a ritual spell that can summon them from the deck or hand, tributting monsters from the deck, in case you're summoning the ritual monster from your hand. That's the easiest way of solving the problem, just giving them the same treatment fusions received (brilliant fusion, shaddoll fusion and branded fusion, I'm looking at you).

They have all that but sliced up and given to special dedicated strategies. Advanced Ritual Art was an awesome step forward in that regard back in the day but down the line they printed High Ritual Art which was a reverse version and sounded cool, but they HAD to give it a "you lose the Ritual at the end of the turn lol" clause and ruin it xD The Drytron Ritual Spell and the Nekroz Spells are pretty cool concepts too, which would have been nice to have elsewhere. Nekroz of Trishula and Chaos MAX Dragon are pretty potent monsters but you are not just splashing them somewhere semi-capable of having synergy with them like you would an Xyz. It has to be Ritual-hyper-focused or not at all. Pendulums somewhat have the same problem where they are your entire shtick or not seen at all.

Konami can fix them even with one card if they want to. The deck already has good otk tools, a very good starter called engage neo space and a win condition which is cosmo neos and can access to the generic elemental hero support. The problem is main deck consistency. Just print a card like adusted gold which discards itself to search an EN spell and a spacian then neos will be good.

The first time you Resolve this effect, the following effect is applied for the rest of the Duel._ _⚪️Each time the Turn Player Flip/Tribute/Ritual/Fusion/Synchro/Xyz/Pendulum/Link Summons a monster(s), they can take 1 Ritual Monster/Spell from their hand, Deck, Field, or GY; They can either add it to their hand, shuffle it into their deck, or send it to their GY._
