Located in a lively neighbourhood, the Barons Court Theatre stands as a testament to cultural heritage, now ready for a thoughtful modernisation. This redesign aims to harmonise the dynamic energy of the local young community with the theatre’s historical elegance. Key Design Elements:
Accessibility: Increased inclusion with integrated wheelchair access.
Structural Innovation: I-beams spanning the width of the theatre, replace the central columns. The floor will be levelled uniformly, and the existing arches removed to gain height.
Sustainable Materials:
The seating will be refurbished with bamboo, cork, and canvas upholstery,
while the existing iron broadsides will be preserved.
Bamboo flooring and acoustic wood pannels will adorn walls and ceiling, integrated LED lights will run vertically along the walls, giving a sence of greater heigh.
An Air-Powered Glass Lift, will elevate the design and functionality. This redesign not only honours the theatre’s storied past but also propels it into the future, establishing a venue that resonates with the area’s vibrant youth and the enduring charm of
the performing arts.
