When it comes to polished aluminium , this product may cause reaction, if I clean tires on wheels like that, i spray the product on a brush agitate it , then rinse it of f, so the contact of the product is minimal with the alloy itself

Most of the time I leave it overnight, spray the car in the evening, rinse it off in the morning, job done, no waiting time, ( car should be left indoor for that.) VAsco prewash isn't solvent based product like most of tar removers, so it is safe for surfaces once used right. Did you get marks on the bonnet from Vasco Prewash? If so , it means that the paint may been warm or hot when you applied it, or job done in the direct sunlight , or left the car outside and the car got wet and left for a good while. Last thing could be a bad respray. I am only guessing as I don't know exactly what happened there. If was vasco , there shouldn't be much issue as a light polishing would fix it. Let me know

Overall the system provides about 2 years of durability for daily used car, however there are many factors involved in the durability , how the car is used , maintaned etc. I do this service in Ireland, and to be honest , I have no idea how it would behave in extreme cold , in the heat would be fine as for the process I use heat gun which gives realy high temps.

Nothing is pemanent, however there are a lot of stories about these repairs saying that they dont last at all, i do this service for the last few years and once the process is done corectly, the finish will last for a few years before it will start to wear again, that applies mainly to the color, not to filler. Many different factors are involved in the lasting of repair. The proces and quality of products are the most important, however it also depends whether the car is used daily or casually, also after care. So there is not realy a simple answear to this question.
