i have one to graded by pcgs but how do you know what date it is
"tuppunce" is a more accurate pronunciation than two-pence for this lovely looking coin from a VERY brief reign.
Have faded French coin dated 1726, colonial period, found in Guiana . How can I find out about its history
These junk fakes are coming out of china. Be careful when buying.
Nice, I didn't know it had so many external frames and round Deadeyes?
very nice but how change 2024 in exchange of money
hello
Halo
I wonder if this coin would be accepted as a silver dollar in the US colonial times like the Spanish milled dollar if these were to find their way to the US during this period due to the shortage of US silver in the colonies?
its possible, it most likely would of been the equivalent of 10 cents in the colonies especially considering all the French colonies that existed in the Americas
@@ClementinesCoins only 10 cents? This coin is much bigger than 10 cents
@@erikbrantner4295 the coin is only a 1/10 ecu which weighs around 2.5 grams around the same weight as a silver dime. a full ecu would be the equivalent of a silver dollar
Wasn't sure if it was 1/10th or 1ecu... You had mentioned it to be 1 ecu in the video but that would make sense on the equivalents.. Either way I'm assuming if these coins were to find they're way into the US colonies this would be there equal value to either 10 cents or a dollar depending on what this coin is face value.. But I heard that many silver coins from other countries was used in the colonies as a result of a shortage of silver coinage since the mint wasn't established until 1792.. Even after the US mint began they had to rely on any foreign silver and even copper coins from other countries until well into the 1800s...@@ClementinesCoins

Is it worth any money
Hello. Really nice video. I have 2 of these coins from the same year 1845. The reverses and obverses of these two look practically the same. Same thickness. The masses of the coins are around 27.7 gramm. (they are not VF) The problem is the edge inscription has different placement, direction and cinquefoil stops on the coins. First one has Decus starting above the crown on the reverse and continues further right, it has one cinquefoil stop after tutamen (thou the second stop after VIII might be simply worn out). 2. Decus starts above the letter A in GRATIA on the obverse and continues further, and it has two cinquefoil stops, one is after tutamen, another after VIII. What is the placement and direction of DECUS on your coin? Or may be you know the regulations of the placement and the direction (If there are any) of this inscription: DECUS ET TUTAMEN * ANNO REGNI VIII.
hi my father in law has got this coin and more coins

Stick that coin in your..... pocket hhhhhh

I have a coin that looks kinda like the color of this coin, but it also looks like gold color benieth the dirty mess of the coin, and it's big and ruff around the edges almost as if it was hammered when it was made, and it wheighs 13.23 grams. I can't make out a face on the coin or anything, but I think maybe a date of 1788 or 1888 or something like that. Mostly tho, it weighs 13.23 grams. Can anyone help me maybe. I think it might be a George 111 half penny. But it kinda looks gold tho, like a dirty old gold coin that has maybe been in a fire or collected other dirty material to it.
if you have any pictures i would be happy to give you more info in the coin
@@ClementinesCoins how can I go about showing you some pictures of the coin.. would you like for me to maybe make a quick video? Or do you have a email?
@@ClementinesCoins I am currently in the middle of uploading a video of what I have. It should be uploaded within the next 15 minutes. It is currently 3:15am Ohio time February 1st as of right now at 3:15 am.
