This comment is being made after I saw your breakdown of the Prophetic Visions announcement. I mention that because at around *6:09* in that video, you discussed the number of new cards that could be in the set. And, actually, I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said from about 6:09 - 8:14 in that video as well (more time needs to be dedicated to each set, leaning heavily into reprints, etc.) I was fearful that the jump in the number of sets would lead to a severe hit in quality, and I unfortunately was right. I don't think I was the only one with these concerns either. With their release schedule you would think they were developing a TCG, a headspace that is NOT congruent with Keyforge's design philosophy in the slightest. Worst case scenario, GG truly does not understand Keyforge nor has a concrete plan for its future. Best case scenario, they let ÆS be a lesson that they (hopefully) learn from, and time the time Keyforge requires and deserves to ensure that it not only survives, but thrives. I feel so bad I missed the stream, because I agree with most everything you said and wanted to contribute to the discussion. As excited as I am for Prophetic Visions, the inconsistency of Æmber Skies and its lack of a true identity has left a bad taste in my mouth. You know something went wrong when the debut of a new house only has 2, 2!!!, cards you even care to see when you get that house's pod. AND they are severely overtuned at that. The consequences of having a smaller card pool are that decks are more consistent on the whole, yes, but even outside of Skyborn individual card power varies too widely. At least in my opinion. What we currently have as the set-specific mechanic (house enhancements) I feel can't truly be labeled as such as there is always a chance they could be implemented in future sets.Even within-set, I have several decks without house enhancements, and those decks don't even feel like their from ÆS. It's my sincere hope and expectation that GG be transparent about what transpired during ÆS's development (perhaps during KFC?), and that they not allow this kind of blunder to happen again. At the very least, they need to allot for *significantly* more time to develop each individual set and make a sincere effort to listen to fan and play-tester feedback.

I also think that the “glimpse of the future” part is a confirmation that they’ll do anomalies again! I’m hoping that they’ll keep the pattern of releasing anomalies every 3 sets. Have you noticed any other patterns in the sets?

I'm excited for this set, even with what feels like little info so far😅 I really like AS and ToC (Except I feel like Redline Rotation should be a rare, but that's just me😂) and it feels like they're kind of building something like a design momentum. Thank you, laying out info like the set sizes really puts things into clear view!

I think one set every 9-12 months would be fine. At least until they are able to get enough retailers that they don't need to do crowd-funding. In the meantime, they should be putting a lot more effort into figuring out how to support and improve local OP.

I agree that Gormangeist seems like a nightmare already, but I know certain decks ate it up at Vault Tours this year. Vault Assault is great! I would love to see the three of you play Vault Assault similar to your Keyraken live video!

Aember Skies is the least fun set since AoA. Skyborn is mostly bad, Brobnar is blah. The lack of creature control/board wipes is a terrible design choice.

Thanks for the update! My LGS doesn't do keyforge events anymore but I'd be willing to travel for a pre-release. Does anyone know if there's a list of home bases or LGS's that will have prerelease events? Also, have they said of Tokens of Change will get a pre-release event?

Once again, thanks for the lore! Your video reminded me of the fan concept I thought of for when keyforge does a set wherein key colors mattered. I was thinking of what if there were other key colors besides blue, red, and yellow (gold). What if there are orange, green, purple, and grey (silver) keys? Similar to the colors of the archons in the card backs and you can either bring which of the selection you want or the archon card might indicate what you need to bring. But implementing it might be rather complicated as you are not sure which key colors your opponent will bring and a few of your card effects might not work on an oppenent that did not bring key colors that are referenced in your cards. Another implementation may be that some houses are boosted by certain key colors. And only your own cards are affected by the key colors you choose. But that's just that, I don't think it's possible to make a fan format this complex without making an entire set.

More Martian Civil War🎉

The Rebels were victorious at my store! I went undefeated and won a Floomf as well as a store marked deck! My Rebel pod had Rebels, the Nautillixian, and a bunch of creatures with ready and use abilities. Brobnar and Sanctum backed up the ready and fight mentality, while providing token spam and a way to cash in with double Membership Drive. Never got to use the big robot, but the little Rebels got out of hand every game. We had a blast!

I read that GG plans to announce the Martian Civil War results at KFC. I really enjoyed my first event at Voss Media! It was great to play in person with you again, and I really enjoyed our third game! I feel pretty good that it was a fairly close game, especially now I know the details of your deck! It was great to see KeyForge friends at the event from all over Central and Southern MI!

Not including all the tokens in the starter set would be a disservice to the people who buy them. I’d find it very frustrating if I bought a starter set then immediately needed to get more tokens.
