A lull to gather thoughts and setup the reveals. The final two should be surprising and enlightening.

Thank you, Kevin! 🌑 Ahch-To is where 'Luke' sought seclusion. I'm guessing those little elephant-mouse-birds were meant to underline that it's a different planet. If they wanted us to presume it was Ahch-To, I imagine they would've shown porgs. But time tells all! Either way, it was a lovely locale. 🔸 Indeed, next week's episode has the same director as the previous flashback episode. I'm ready for it!

Qimir's scar is whip-shaped...and Venestra's look is very interesting, like she knows who really killed everyone on Khofar. Was Venestra Qimir's master who tried to stop him before he fell to evil...maybe she had a vision in hyperspace about him (they nod to this power she has when she talks about hyperspace). Anyway, great mood change ep after last week's very kinetic onslaught! The deeper we go, the more intriguing it gets!!!

It was an ok esp. Kind of filler with a little info. The next two esp. should land the season. Great video again!

Great reaction! I have a theory on Mae's turning herself in. She knows her sister is alive, so she was lied to. She probably thought better about taking on a Wookiee Jedi, unarmed. Because she thought her master was nowhere near them, she figured that strength of a Wookiee Jedi, and all the other Jedi, would be her best defense...all knowing that if she failed to kill Kelnacca, she said her master will kill her. THEN, when she finds Kelnacca already dead without much of a struggle, extreme fear and panic set in and she didn't think any of them could protect her, so she gave up her plan entirely. And, impersonating Osha could get her back on her master's good side. Square one. Keep up the great work!

Mae is fighting against being arrested because her master showed up and is intent on killing her for betraying him. She’s trying to flee

My interpretation is, once Mae realized her master was there, she knew her master would kill them all. So for Mae, surrendering to the Jedi became a death sentence, rather than an escape. Thus her trying to run from everyone.

Well that was shocking. They made it so obvious Qimir is the Master that we ended up dismissing the idea. Double twist. They also added all the nameless Jedi so we'd expect them to die, making the death of main characters even more shocking. I appreciate the real stakes, which we haven't seen since Rogue One. We know Mae screamed and then we heard the lantern break. I am so curious to learn what really happened on Brendok.

She was being truthful to Kamir. Mae just does anything that will save her *ss so she doesn’t have consequences for any of her actions. The moment the Jedi say they are going to arrest her, she starts running again. Later she tries to get her sister to be on her side and when she doesn’t she betrays her sister, pretends to be her and continues to deceive. That seems it is all she knows. osha was right. Remember the last words Mae said to her sister was “I will kill you.” Because OSHA wouldn’t do what Mae wanted. Mae wants to control Osha and won’t accept consequences.

Noooooo!!!! Can't believe we lost Jecki 😭. But super impressed with the saber fights & the cortosis!

Best episode so far. I have to ask though with a budget so high, and a decent cast of people, wouldn’t the show have been way better if they took their time with each episode, given more time for character development, the deaths would have been way more heartfelt. Qimir in one episode, despite how poorly they tried to conceal his truth, was leagues more menacing than kylo ren. There’s moments of brilliance here kind of ruined by underwhelming storytelling. 6/10 for this one. Qimir is top character, Sol in second. Jecki was also my favorite, I didn’t like Yord but his death was so brutal I felt so bad.

I know folks hate cross series comments, but I've been bracing myself for all the named character deaths in HotD... And then this episode dropped...😂

Loved this episode. Came in expecting the nameless jedi to die and for the umbramoths to help all the heroes escape, but was horrifically surprised lol. Also, the malfunctions with the lightsabers were caused by Qimir's helmet and gauntlets being made of cortosis, which temporarily disables lightsabers. Also, did you notice the kylo ren leitmotif at the end? I'm wondering if qimir is the start of the knights of ren, hence the "call me a sith" and not "I'm a sith".

I also found Mae's turn too quick, but like you I suspect there is more to it, just like the events on Brendok 16 years prior. I suspect they ended the episode there to avoid having to end in the middle of the confrontation with The Master. They keep dropping clues that quimir is The Master, but not it seems _too_ obvious. I though it might be Koril, but I'm not sure her horns would fit in that helmet. Thanks for providing yet another reasonable voice. No piece of entertainment is perfect, but seeking out every flaw only hurts ourselves and wastes our time. The _story_ is the important part, so as long as that is engaging and compelling then the application of storytelling tools would need to be flagrantly poor to detract from said story. Sadly hate is on the rise. As each generation possesses less ability to think critically it makes them vulnerable to self-serving grifters who instill fear and paranoia in the weak minded and then use that to convince them _they_ are the victims. We see it in politics, anti-science conspiracies, and in response to representative entertainment. They've redefined "woke" to mean anything that doesn't highlight and pander to them, so anytime they encounter the 1% of entertainment that dares to focus on someone else they act like they are being discriminated against. Then after the backlash in response to their attacks on the ratings, fans who don't share their hate, and the people making the entertainment, they once again play the victim. There is a thumbnail in the sidebar of this video for yet another asshole claiming Amandla Stenberg hates Star Wars fans and is attacking them. The people she's having to defend herself against aren't Star Wars fans, they are disgusting bigots and cowards.

I think Mae’s Master is Mother Koril; the master obviously wanted those 4 Jedi dead (they killed Kenacca themself), it wasn’t just a test for Mae. Qimir had no beef with those 4 Jedi that we know of.

If they have legitimate criticisms to voice, they should do that respectfully... and offer ways they would've improved it had they been the maker. That might be useful. 🔸 Yes, as you noted, that is 'Ki-Adi-Mundi'. But that's not 'Plo Koon'... she's another Kel Dor called 'Ithia Paan' according to Wookieepedia.
