Hope you like it, even though you had some bad luck with the weather. When was this? A month ago? How long were you in Slovenia? We had some rainy days and very early snow in September. Right now the weather is much much better, no more snow in the mountains. You are welcome to come back and explore more, especially the mountains.

I watched with interest the consecutive review of the two islands of Menorca and Mallorca. They are both beautiful in their own way. And I decided for myself that lovers of silence and measured rest who are ready to go to those parts should choose Menorca. Mallorca reminded me of Menton with Nice.

Quiet places. In offseason yes. I was v Puglia in February. Perfect. Sardinia in first half of May also top. Also like to go in October in places like Malta, Cyprus, south of Spain.
That sounds amazing, Matej! I can imagine Puglia in February must have been so peaceful, and Sardinia in early May sounds perfect before the crowds arrive. I love the idea of traveling in the offseason to places like these. Do you have any favorite spots in those regions? They are high on my list! :)

Hi Eva, just a social cyclist. The lighthouse ride to Cap Formentor is a fabulous 20 km each way and every year in the spring a closed road round the island ride is arranged with 312, 225 and 167km routes!! Thanks for your country/city guides, they are much appreciated!👍😁

Azores isn’t part of the European continent. It’s actually on the African tectonic plate.
Not quite - São Miguel is on the Eurasian plate, while the island of Flores is on the North American plate. The Azores are at the junction of the Eurasian, North American, and African plates. It’s a fascinating tectonic mix!
