Moving in the mountains means you get to see environmental changes up close everyday. This is very clear when moving in these environments, like when scrambling up Aiguille du Moine via the Mer de Glace glacier. We need to protect our glaciers! Petter Restorp UNEDITED Downhill Running In CHAMONIX
This is a classic trail in Chamonix, coming down from the animal park Parc de Merlet. It's about 500 vertical on what is normally not very technical trail, but with fresh snow on tree roots and rocks it ups the difficulty level. This is unedited video from the park down to the valley floor. Enjoy! #chamonix #trailrunning #downhill

Verkligen en jättefin film 💪🏼🤩
Tack så mycket 🙏
Fy til helvete gitt, godt gjort! Gratulerer alle sammen.❤
Tack så mycket 🙏
I remember watching Peter on youtube videos from Kullamannen 100miles years ago when I started to scratch into trail running. I thought of course that was inspirational and almost impossible for me to experience the same paths. I continued running and forgot about Peter. Soon I'll be lining up at my first Kullamannen 100miles and what a great moment to be reminded of my inspiration to get into trail running. Congratulations on your great achievement 👏🏼🎉👏🏼🎉 Such an experienced crew as well. Last but not least, a really well made film too. Keep inspiring, Peter ! Wishing you well 🖖🏼
Such kind words! I'll let Petter know about your comment. He is an inspiration for all of us, not just in this race but in everyday life too, he does things in a way few other people are able to. Thank you for your kind words, and good luck at Kullamannen 100 miles, I'm sure you'll do great! 💪
@@tbs.johansson appreciate
Petter, first of all, incredible achievement to not only complete the entire race but also to place highly. That is an immense accomplishment by itself. Also, thank you to you and your team for documenting, editing and sharing your journey with the world. All of it was very well done. Something I know a lot of runners would appreciate would be some in-depth details about things like your preparations, race strategies (pace, gear hydration, fueling, etc), funny/harrowing stories from events during the race that the camera didn't capture, issues you encountered and how you dealt with them, your post-race recovery...just anything extra you could share. Thank you again and best of luck in whatever you do next.
Thank you very much for your comment and kind words! We all appreciate in the team. Petter wrote a little about his experience on his Instagram after the race, you can find it here instagram.com/petterrestorp/ I'll let him know about your kind words. Thanks again! 🙏
I think I might be the only one who's spoiled by the likes of Billy Yang, but I think I'd like better cinematography / storytelling.
Thank you for the honest feedback!
Equipe de Suede for the win! Snyggt jobbat Tobias!
Équipe de Suède levererar alltid. Tack Morgan! 🙏
Vilken film! Konst! 🫶
Tack Krisse! Uppskattar dina ord ❤️
Great race, great result, but also big respect for making such a great movie out of it. I have to ask one thing, how did Petter attach his poles at his vest? that looked super stable. Did he use this system just for the supply points or also when he was running?
Thank you very much 🙏 It's a homemade system remnant of the way skimo skis are attached on the pack. Basically an elastic loop at the bottom he puts them through first and then a string with a hook on the opposite shoulder he wraps around the poles and attaches the hook in the backpack. He uses it while running as well.
@@tbs.johansson thanks for the quick answer! I will try to copy it ;-) Iam not good at folding and unfolding my poles^^
Good luck, hopefully it works out!
what a film, what a performance! first met Petter at a slide show about his big wall climbing, didn't cross paths again till he took my Strava CR on a segmet whilst he ran Kullamanen 100. tough dude!
Thanks a lot 🙏 Indeed he's one of the toughest we have!
Your movie making skills are truly impressive!
Wow, thank you! 🙏
Amazing movie and great achievement. Kudos!
Thank you 🙏
Amazing film Tobias. What a beast of a race and more so of an athlete. Congrats to Petter, the crew and you!
Thank you Adrián! It was a beast just crewing it, can't even imagine being the one actually running. He is truly a giant!
Kilometers are 350 not 330, little difference😂
Officially it's 330k, but your milage may vary 😂
👏👏👏
Merci buddy 🙏
Great movie!👍
Thank you 🙏
Great video! We're planning to do this route with a hiking pace, and this gives us an idea about the terrain and what to expect? Which month was this, please? And would you say the ice-axe is a must-have?
Thank you! It's a beautiful route. This was in the beginning of August. And if you're going the route we did you definitely need glacier experience and gear. Enjoy!
Tremendous effort, such a talented skier! 👍
Thank you kindly. He sure is! It was a pleasure to follow him.
Amazing!
Grymt stark prestation!
Really impressive achievement! I even went to Strava and looked this guy up. His pace for those 200 km was something like 3:40min/km. It looks way slower in this video (slo-mo footage??). I can hardly skate at that pace (not for 200 km though!). Quite amazing this was all just double poling!
I know, it's pretty amazing when you realize how fast they are going for that long! Some is slowmotion for sure, but it's also interesting how effortless it looks, even in those speeds, when someone knows what they're doing.
yeah his finish time is insane! Just doing the race is insane no matter the time. But he did it really well/fast.
This is INSANE!! Besides genetics 🧬 one has to have the utmost respect, determination and sheer grit to accomplish such a feat!!! Hats off to this ultimate fittest athlete in the world!!!
great story. much admiration for heroic battle. wonder what it was like, during the preparation phase, to deal with moments of self-doubt and physical setbacks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Crazy. Cool. Tummen upp!
These guys must be in the top tier of the worlds most fit athletes.
They sure are fit! XC skiers normally have some of the highest vo2max readings, together with cyclists and triathletes 💪
If anyone gets the impression that this man is some weekend warrior who just decides to do this race, they are terribly mistaken. I cannot even imagine skiing this distance.
You're very right John! This is not something you simply do, there are a lot of training hours behind this achievement indeed.
Great job 👏
Big thanks 🙏
Grymt bra film! ❤🔥
Tack! Kul att du gillar den 🙏
Bra gjort!

En "Top of the Line"-prestation..:-)...Var stolt..:-)...💪...
❤❤
What an amazing hike! So much elevation gains, crossing glaciers, and rock scrambling! I hiked from Zermat to Schönbiel Hut, Schwarzee, Hornli hut, Gandegg hut, Monte Rosa hut, Flualp hut, and Tasch hut in the last summer. Some parts are challenging, but not as much as what you guys did. Thank you for sharing!
That sounds like a beautiful hike! These surroundings are truly amazing, and hopefully as many as possible get the opportunity to experience them. Thanks for your comment!
