2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L Serpentine Belt Replacement
Переглядів 15 тис.5 років тому
A brief description on how I changed my serpentine and power steering belts in just about 15-20 minutes at home, using just a 14mm socket/ratchet (after the wheel was pulled off). Midas wanted $350 and 2hrs of time (plus me getting the car there and back). Thank you, Dad for making me help you fix our cars vs watching cartoons all morning growing up. You have helped me save TENS OF THOUSANDS of...
Erasure Blue Savannah Song Phoenix, AZ Oct 21, 2014

So glad they played this song! I named my oldest daughter after this song. Funny that the ONE time I yelled for them to play it...THEY DID! LOL! I'm sure it was just coincidence, though. Can't wait to ditch this crappy iPhone 5 and get the Note 4, so I can get better videos at the next concert!
RiSE Festival @ Jean Dry Lake, NV October 18, 2014

SUCH AN AMAZING EVENT! Video/pics DO NOT do it justice. You just cant see the movement and layers, as the lanterns rise. What an experience...and I got to share it with my beautiful wife. :) Yes, there were terrible egress issues (4 hrs waiting for a shuttle bus) but hopefully the organizers will learn from this 1ST TIME effort and make the next one that much better.
Unannounced Military Urban Combat Training

The Phoenix area is the next Urban Combat Training zone for unannounced, pathetically explained, night time helicopter training. This is how a government desensitizes its troops for attacking their own people/their own cities. WAKE UP, PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

Aggressive elk in Tusayan, AZ
Переглядів 1,1 тис.11 років тому
Elk frequently come into town and graze in VERY close proximity to people. These people don't have a CLUE as to elk behavior plus lack some common sense. This elk had been displaying aggressive behavior and yet, stupid people kept running up to it to take its picture or let their kids run towards it, like it was some tame animal. Ummm...look up 'challenging an elk, people. Luckily, no one got h...

Even though you may have long forgotten about posting this,.. after 5yrs, it's still helping people & thanks from the,....future?? Funny that I've got the exact same model & paint & the needing wash🤣 Cheers
Yeah buddy!
thank you some much for the quick easy explanation you skipped all the bs most people would make this a 40 minute video but you did it right now im saving 150$ from my mechanic knocked it out myself in about 45 mins start to finish
Thank you bro looked all over the internet
How long is that belt for the ac front side ? Well length?
What are they thinking about the alternator you almost have to drop the AC compressor
Thank you!! I got an 06 3.5l same engine as yours. Once serpentine is off I’m going to replace the adjustment pulley and idle pulley.
What size socket is the bolt for the power steering tension pully
Those are also 14mm bolts. I know because I'm still struggling to get the fecking power steering belt on yet. It's like half adjustable and half stretch belt and my Lisle stretch belt installer/remover tool is too bulky because of the Remove side of the tool is too bulky due to it hitting the damn power steering pump itself because the pulley ratio on that is small otherwise that tool would be a savior. Smh
Long shot here but by any chance can you tell me the location of the water pump on that engine?
I cant get my new belt on the old one was stretched out so im replacing it and i did the back belt thanks for tip on turning it sideways but ive been trying to get the new front one on and its not panning out for me currently
Very good explanation. Thank you sir.
Alternator is its own belt, correct?
Not on mine. The serpentine belt runs everything except the power steering pump.
@@CopterPilot801 ok thanks
Huh? The 3.5L must have a slightly different setup especially if you find that motor in a Mitsubishi car because the 3.5L is not a Hyundai native motor it's a Mitsubishi 3.5L V6. So it must be slightly different in other Hyundais and Mitsubishi cars.
a 1/4 belt slack is the right tension adjustment ?
I've always done between a quarter and a half an inch of slack on the long run. Half inch is too much, especially with a new belt because the new belt is going to stretch a bit anyway...that's why I go with quarter-inch with a new belt. Another good way to check is to twist the longest run and see if it'll go 90 degrees. If it will but won't go any further than 90° then it's good. If it twists beyond 90°, change or tighten the belt.
This sounds good thanks for uploading please upload more videos
Funny
Keep up with the syntax, Ken...the child molester comment was to BoyBlew. Get it now? Guess in your bigoted, close-minded world going to an Elton John, Queen or Judas Priest concert would be something to call someone gay over...right? One can't enjoy legendary music...because the singer sucks dick...right? Yeah...go fuck yourself, pal.
+Ken Corfield Uh..he's the one with the name BoyBlue...
if this song was for your daughter and so important. You ruined it. Shut the fuck up!
BLM monitored the 2-day clean-up AND signed off on it so...maybe do some research on a subject BEFORE you make ignorant posts on a public forum. Just makes you look stupid...
You cleaned up a lake then left your mess in other parts of the desert. There are other posts where people found your lanterns strewn all over the place.

From the RiSE FB page: We have been cleaning non-stop and we're proud to see this lakebed so pristine. In addition to our lanterns and other trash from RiSE, we filled and removed a 30-yard dumpster full of trash that was in and around the lakebed before the event. We're proud to leave this lakebed cleaner than we found it.
