My dad was a member of the Washington state mountaineers. He taught me to love being in the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, and camping. As I have gotten older, I have wished that he had videoed his adventures. That's why I upload mine. I want my kids and grandkids to hear and see what I did on my adventures.
My husband & I also love to take our RV & explore new areas. We are avid day hikers & some time backpackers. We love to kayak, too!
We also love to serve as trail angels 😇 for thru-hikers when we are close by the trail.

Lake Estelle
Once again, we are in the Cabinet Mountains. The views on this hike reach to the peaks in the distance before we hike to a small alpine lake.

It was a beautiful warm day as I joined the Monday hiking group on a day hike to the summit of Mount Pend Oreille in the Cabinet Mountains of North Idaho.

My friend Becky and I are once again backpacking into the North Idaho Panhandle. Our original plan was changed due to road work, so we chose to hike the west side of Upper Priest Lake.

Solo Backpacking Trip at Pyramid Lake

This is my first ever solo backpacking trip. I chose Pyramid Lake because I was familiar with it, it was a short hike in with less than 1000 ft of elevation gain, and it was a beautiful place.

The bear grass was in full display on the trail up to these three alpine lakes. The weather was hot but the sky was blue and the trail was mostly in the shade.
Harrison Lake

Another alpine lake and another beautiful day. I began the hike later than I planned during a very hot day. This trail is very steep with loose rock in places. Trekking poles really helped when my feet rolled on the loose rock.

Our first plan was to head towards a few more waterfalls. However, we knew that we would reach the ones we wanted to see later in the day when parking might be impossible for our RV. I grew up in Spokane and Deer Park Washington...I've been through Northern Idaho alot especially Sand Point and Bonners Ferry ...Love Lake Pend Oreille....There are actually grizzlies in Northern Idaho and North Eastern Washington so you have to be diligent...

The north Idaho Panhandle is truly beautiful. I do enjoy finding little treasures like the little man in the window. The fluorescent house is on private property that the trail has an easement through. Thanks so much for taking the time to view my video.

You are so sweet! Thank you. I'm just vlogging, so we can watch and remember. I also want my kids to have them so they can see what we have done. My dad backpacked a lot in the 70s, but there are only a few pictures documenting his adventures. I wish I could see more of what he did.

The environment is very interesting....the condition of the forest seems to be not that good....although some areas are also good with quite lush trees..... The hiking trails are very friendly....
There was a forest fire last year that burned that area. Most of the areas around here are very beautiful, though. Thanks for watching!
