DIAMOND DARRELL💎🤘
Damn if that isn't randy Rhoades tone. Solid state became his thing , and it worked for Pantera but this is awesome hearing what he did with real amps..
3:45 Looks That Kill 😂
Pantëra Crüe
Terry Glaze aka Terrance Lee on lead vicals. 🤘🤘
EVEN IF… PANTERA never changed their sound from being a “glam” band or power metal “hair” band… they WOULD STILL BE IN THE TALKS OF ONE THE GREATEST BANDS / MUSICAL TALENTS OF ALL TIME, just in a DIFFERENT Genre of metal / music. There was no stopping these guys from achieving greatness!!!
I don’t care what ANYONE says, 1980’s “Glam” era PANTERA would still tear the face off most these bands today. They just had so much talent and skill and just natural-born performers they had it all. The talent the skill, the showmanship!
Just imagine finding your old camera and looking at the old footage and finding this video
Dont know if anyone is reading this in the year 3024 but these guys in 1984 were smart they were following the highest $ trend glam metal. when that flat lined they said fuck it lets be us!
ORIGINAL HEAVY METAL
That has to be the Dean ML Dimes Dad bought him Cherry burst. He sold the Dean ML he won in the shredding contest. He sold for an old $500 Camaro. But he wound up getting it back painted with the lightning bolts Iater on.

Love this era!
We want 80s music back, 80s heavy metal bands back, we want glamor hair and all the rest that mafe 80s metal and rock band what they were!!!
I think that was at Savvy's. I spent enough weekends there on the dancefloor that I can remember it like it was yesterday.
I can't believe Vinnie used Simmons e-drums. 😮
In a way they were the speed metal version of Van Halen
I believe that Dimebag was, and still is the greatest shredder ever!!! Hans down...
Los que escuchan BABUNNY no tienen cerebro por caridad regales un cerebro hasta los perros son más listos BABUNNY canta muy pendejo creo petter grifin es 20 veces más inteligente que BABUNNY
❤😍😍😍🥹
Hard to believe its just guitar, drums, bass, and vocals
Was that really dimebag?
of course
Wish I could've been there
He even made Eruption his own. No mistaking his touch. That really stands out when you hear so many people pulling out note for note copies these days
9:10 hahaha first few notes sound just like the start of one of the cemetery gates solos, you can see how Dimebag tought out these solos even years before he made them
Young guy reminds me of o'l Jack Butler
Even then they were the cream of the crop and at the top of their game.
They were so gay back then. Haha.
Melodic Heavy - metal yes, vocal "R. Plant".
The first Night clube they ever played at was the ritz in dallas
shame there is not any footage of that:)
Part at 14:09 sounds like middle part of Overdrive song "On the run"
woow
vinnie with the e drums hahaha
to think he was 17-18 here is just crazy
I remember seeing them jamming in 1984 in Kileen Texas
I am really starting to get into early Pantera. This sounds like early Def Leppard.
They also played Def Leppard covers
I saw them in Daytona Beach in '94. Biohazard opened for them. I had no idea about their glam metal past. Ya learn something new everyday.
What ever happened to this singer???? He's actually freakkin awesome !
He is! He went on to front a band called Lord Tracy that had one minor hit. A very party oriented band and not as heavy as even early Pantera, but I liked it. Since then I don't know where he's at. Search him or Lord Tracy here on UA-cam
He did a interview not too long ago, just look up his name then interview
That's Terry Glaze. Yeah, I loved his scream! Awesome! And that karate kick. 👍 He was about 19 there. As far as I know he moved up to the north east somewhere and is still making music. A few years back I saw a link to his channel.
Damn. Dime was only 18 here. Already on his way to being on top of the world. When i was 18 I wasn't doing shit with my life lol
I miss these days as much as Dime did... I think. Watching Pantera with 15 other people was the highlight of my existence. That and the CFH video shoot. Edit: Terry I miss you too. This the Pantera I first saw and love. They never disappointed. I'm so grateful that the rest of the world got to see them as well.
There was always a positive buzz around those guys in high school. I remember them at Bowie selling tickets to a show at the YMCA (I think). They were all good guys.
Dimebag Darrell, what a guitarist !! A think about Randy Rhoads, close legacy, and the cover of Revelation Mother Earth final solo in Dime'solo is not there by chance.
Nice train
Very nice
Melhor fase para mim!!!! A segunda fase podrera não curto
I love diss classic PanterA ! RIP Dimebag & Vinnie Paul Abbott . Legends 4 real .
The mvp goes to whoever filmed this for capturing Diamond Darrell during his key moments. They must have known that Dime was making a name for himself at a young age and decided to film him at a show.
The way his cover of eruption is so accurate. Back then one had to listen to the record over and over to learn a song.. Lucky if you got to watch the live concert. Shows how dedicated he was. Now every kid with one year of guitar experience learns how to play eruption thanks to tabs and yt.
Dimes version of eruption is not accurate to what ed originally did, there’s a lot of parts and licks he glossed over and simplified. Personally i like dime’s interpretation, he did his own thing with it and still had the evh vibe/flair going
hell yeah. I grew up with CDs and tapes, but that was still a pain in the ass. skipping back over and over again and trying to hear what the guitar was doing in the mix. Nowadays, I can use AI to isolate a track, slow it down, change the pitch, isolate L & R channels. we've come a long way
Damn that singer was great AF
Terry Glaze is the name 🔥 🤘
thankyou!
pleasure to me
i feel like im in a different dimension why am i just now figuring this shit out
