This vlog is my physical fitness journey after I retired. My main exercise is the X3 bar program. I’ve added animal flow for mobility and flexibility and started using kettlebells again. Recently I’ve stated doing burpees. And BURPEES ROCK!!!
I want to video my journey and see my progress using these workout programs together. This vlog will help keep me disciplined, motivated and pushing myself to be better everyday. And you all are my workout partners.

100 burpees 100 jumping jacks only Rest day. October 4, 2024
I started a diet and workout program last week, that I paid a professional bodybuilder for.
I think if I want to take diet advice and muscle building advice from any one it should be from someone who has done bodybuilding for a profession. Bodybuilding are the worlds best dieters and muscle builders. If you are willing to do the work and stay dedicated.
Over the next month I’m going to follow the diet advice and workout program and see how much my body composition I can change. On my days off from the gym I will be “resting” doing my burpees and sandbags.
Let’s see where this can go over the next month.

Maybe going to 20 reps instead of 10 might help. The harder you breath the more carbon you are realeasing

Burpees! I just happened to see this.... Today I got my burpees in!!! 100 straight with 3 pushups downs and pop up with elbow to knees.

Great job on the 2 pump burpees *and* jumps! 100 is great...I only do 25 lol! Look forward to what you're eating on the heavy protein diet as I find it hard thinking of ways to eat protein apart from eggs and chicken.
greek yogurt is good egg white french toast - 322g eggwhites is 30g protein. add vanilla extract and cinnamon for 0 calories. soak the 3 slices or 280g of bread and cook on super low heat until it releases so it doesnt tear the bread wich will be soggy until you flip it. I make sandwiches out of it. low cal syrup is tasty in moderation too

I bet you felt good after that session! Like walking on air! I've been IF for 10 years now and it's become a way of life...I don't miss breakfast or dinner (lunch) at all...I don't think I'll ever eat before 2pm ever again. I love doing my exercise in a fasted state.
@@Hulalulatallulahoop2 I have been doing IF for years also. But I’ve never really lost my extra body fat doing IF. The meal plan now is 5 small protein rich meals from 8am to 5 pm. I’ll see how this meal plan affects my body over the next few months. Hopefully I’ll lost my extra old man body fat but keep my muscle.

@@ericveran6472 thank you. But sure which was harder. The 10 burpees or the 10 sandbag carries. But my body is thankful I can do both.
A great variety of exercises! Invisible skipping is just as good without a rope, I find. I love skipping but do whip my legs an awful lot lol so that's why skipping without a rope is good.
How heavy is your kettle Bell.? How high should a beginner use to start out doing those?
@@toriwolf5978 I was using a 53lbs kettlebell for this experiment. For a beginner it all depends on how much you exercise and if you are male or female. If female and a real beginner I would start with a 20lbs kettle. It’s has some good weight and you should feel the bell moving and your body responding to the movement.

@@ericveran6472 I have done those ropes in the past. I had one in my back yard in my about 12 years ago. It was fun and exhausting. Ya he practicado ese tipo de cuerdas en el pasado. Hace unos 12 años, tuve una en mi patio trasero. Fue divertido y agotador.

@@gazsince1966 I’m trying to mix it up now. I feel more energized when I do the burpees. My body gets a nice stretch and my muscle loosen up. I was getting very tight just doing the X3 only.

@@gazsince1966 I found that during the week of X3 I was really missing the burpees. The total body use of the burpees is very stimulating and exhausting. I think I craving a more exhausting workout these days. I’ll still do my X3 but I think I’m going to mix it in with the burpees, sandbags and sprinting.

I've just purchased a sandbag after seeing loads on Instagram and people using them.. the marketing got to me 🤣 then seeing you using one and getting a lot out of it confirmed it for me. I was considering doing the Burpees one week and kettle bell the other but after chatting to you I'm going to keep mixing it up
Amazing on lifting the sandbag! I have a 20kg kettlebell and I just couldn't imagine lifting it onto my shoulders and it's half of the weight on the sandbag, lol!
Great workout...those knee lifts really work the lower abs. You kept a really nice flow throughout the workout.

Wow, well done on the Turkish Get Ups! I bet that was hard with a heavy sandbag! I used to do them with light dumbbells but found them hard, ha ha!
@@Hulalulatallulahoop2 it was awkward. I use to do them with kettlebells and I might just add the kettlebells back in to give myself more volume. But the sandbag was very different. 👍🏻

Seems to me that things are normal with you. You are losing about 2.5lbs a week and thats normal. Also there is nothing you can do as regards diet or exercise to target belly fat. Its the first place to put it on and last place to leave no matter what you do. I lost 70lbs from diet and walking and i still had a bit of bellyfat left to go despite being skinny all over.
Great job especially with doing the plyo jumps....they definitely make you sweat and get the heart pumping!

Semper Fi Marine! I've been doing X3 about 6 months now. I'm 64 yrs old. I'm not a weight lifting guy, so when I saw the internet ad on X3, I got excited and said "This I Can, and Will Do." Your videos are inspiring me and keeping me accountable to my commitment to doing this long term also. I'm getting decent results. They're subtle though. Not getting the blood pump I used to get when lifting weights. But can tell muscle is developing because I'm getting stronger. Anyway, Keep doing what you're doing. I'll be in touch. Semper Fi!
You're definitely on to something.. To be in same shape you were as a kid is something to behold.. Just playing tag think of all of the different muscle groups used in the stopping, starting, darting left, right, jumping, stooping squatting, screeching, yelling.... Muscles we haven't used in years...😊....edit:maybe we should join a flag football league this fall!
