I bought these chains on Amazon but thankfully tried installing them before heading to the mountains because I found one major flaw.
The straps used to tighten these on to your wheels come frayed and are extremely difficult if not impossible to get through the buckle/ratchet system. If you were to discover this in the cold snow trying to make this work I think you would be quite miserable and quite stuck where you are.
Luckily its and easy fix despite their design shortsightedness and all you need is fire and a flat metal surface. Hopefully these still work great and I will be very happy with them and hopefully if you buy them or are thinking about buying them you see this video before you are stuck somewhere and depending on them without this preparation.
