The last Prince Of Wales song that I am posting is an old song written by Reinder, which I decided to re-record. The only thing I had was an old low quality recording made by him around 1992, but I felt it deserved more, so here we are...
Anyway, I have been doing all this remixing and recording on a shitty laptop, put together from 2 broken ones. The laptop works, but it's not great. I can only connect a cheapy USB microphone to this heap of junk, so my nice microphone and trusty Fostex 4-track/mixer are lying there unused. The USB microphone is ok for vocals, but for the life of me I cannot get any decent sound when recording the guitar.
Therefore, I'm going to need someone else to record the guitar parts for this song. Someone with a better set-up and some half decent playing skills, preferably. There is a whole instrumental section that needs filling in, but other additions are also welcome. Feel free to experiment! I used pads and strings to enhance the song, but this can all be changed!
Use the video and post something on UA-cam, or send me the guitar parts/link, I don't mind, and after remixing it, I will (re-)post whatever useable version(s) I receive on this channel!

Ooh, I love this. And I don't remember any of it, so it's a revelation! One problem with the demo version, in a way, was that it was too good, because having more polished players took some of the edge off the song. This is better by being worse. Sad to hear about Bart, though.

Not only did it never make it to the setlist, I don't think Patrick, Danny and me were aware of it until it appeared on the CD of oddities you gave us. No, that's not quite right. Danny had a tape. He misspelled the title on it.
It must've slipped through the cracks somehow. Must say though that I much prefer it now after being remixed. The drums sound so much better....

A really nice song. I use the Hooded Crow as an example of the evolution of different species. During the last ice ages, the Hooded Crow populations were separated into an Western and Eastern populations and isolated for tens of thousands of years. Afterwards each population moved northwards and now they have met near the Elbe. They can breed with one another, but the hybrid is not able to breed successfully. Enough mutations had occurred in the two different isolated populations to make them reproductively isolated. ....................................................Indeed, the hybrid crow is lonely just as in the song.

I started appreciating this song a lot more after doing the remix; I think it makes a huge difference compared to the original mix, although it was hard to get the vocals at the right level. Never noticed the percussive rhythm guitars much and they really come out now! Can also finally hear the bass guitar!
I really like this one and was waiting for you to release it. It’s getting positive responses off UA-cam as well. And yeah, the remix brings out the parts better. Good, because I have no recollection of what I even played on there!
