    Thanks for that. We have a Pajero too and are deliberating on a MT1. Can you open the back door of the Pajero while the trailer is hooked up? also did you need to lift the rear wheel to attach the trailer? And how does everything fair up when it’s wet? Are you underweight with everything that’s in the trailer, including the tinny?

    Nice setup, I’ve been looking at getting the same trailer so I can set up a base camp and still drive around. Have you had any issues with trailer at all?

    • @themansadventures
      @themansadventures 8 місяців тому

      Thank you, no major issues with the trailer, only small things such as the pantry straps snapping and water tank leak, but all things you can repair and reinforce as you please. Off road towing was great and very capable of taking off the beaten track.

    You guys are green as grass, don’t leave footwear on the ground overnight, can find anything from wombat shit to spiders in them, sorry, having a cheap shot at ya😆,. NSW summer where you guys are is quite normal, another rookie mistake, another cheap shot😆.. have minimum expectations from what you see, read and hear on the internet and YT channels, most puff things up with extra cream! Sad to see your camper go but you have a plan, how much gear did you keep with you from the camper? Can you please weigh the paj next time you see a public weigh bridge just for interest sake? I’m guessing you will be 200-400kg over weight… look forward to see what you’re up to next…

      haha we do tend to put our hiking shoes away at night, but can spot any critters easily in our sandals so they stay outside.....but maybe not anymore :P That is true, the internet portrays beautifully sunny weather, which is obviously not the case, seems we are learning the hard way :P We ended up sending a bit back to Perth such as the fridge, generator, baby q and so forth so hopefully that would have reduced the weight. I will definitely have a look at a weigh bridge, would be good to know what we are sitting on! :)

    3.17, that rock is a petrified tree, look at the tubular construction. Giant animals , ( dinosaurs ) giant human hybrids ( nephaliem ) and giant trees. And not millions of years ago, 5000 years ago , pre flood. The other thing you will find out there is massive water erosion , flood damage.

    G’day. Great set up and well presented video, I love the rear draws in the car, the ones you buy have so much wasted space around the slides are to high and also weigh alot. My concern is what happens when it rains hard with all the water coming down the sides etc? Do you have any means of stopping it coming into the kitchen area or do you have to shut everything thing up till it passes? Regards, Mario 🇦🇺

    • @themansadventures
      @themansadventures 10 місяців тому

      Hi Mario, When it rains hard we definitely need to shut all the doors on the car to keep everything dry. With the trailer, the canopy side door actually sealed off most of the rain and with the awning above it as well, we never really had any rain come through the kitchen side. We did find that rain did come through the back of the trailer as the awning does not complete close of this section, so always ensured this was closed. But we really do like the draw system in the car, exactly for the reasons you mentioned (Cheaper, light weight, custom to fit your space).

    Your channel is The Mans Adventures, you shouldn’t use the word boring in videos, it’s an adventure with ups and downs, but never boring, half the fun is getting there. ‘Fixing things’ video keeps it real, shows people that shit happens and you can deal with it. I’ll be doing a similar trek across the top so it’s good to have a little insight in to what’s up there so not to go in totally blind. Thanks guys..

    • @MrKeenaz

      Totally agree. You should have gone to the tip of Australia. I did it in the eighties and it was an amazing adventure, we didn’t see anyone for two weeks travelling the old telegraph line. Today i hear it’s littered with rubbish and people everywhere so sad to hear, still as the other person said, it’s an adventure.

    First time watching. Rookie mistake not doing research, the GIBB is famous, infamous for breaking vehicles and vans and trailers, glad you enjoyed it though.. great rundown of the camper and car. I’ve just bought a MT1 so I’m interested on how it performs especially doing the rough stuff. If you aren’t already, let your tyres down to 25-30psi on rough roads, that may have saved your engine mount and future problems. You’re on my kind of budget so you have some good helpful relevant tips.

      Yeah works well, no problem with towing. Ours fits perfectly inside the two side rails so keeps it nice and tight. If you have a wider one, might be a bit more movement on the top. Has worked well from our end :)
