Curious what plug and oil ratio you are running, it sounds clean. I have a 23'.
Stock plug and 50:1 was recommended by the dealer so that's what over been doing! It's been running amazing!
*ive
Scratch that haha I'm using 60:1. The manual calls for that ratio
Yoo them new bike brakes are sensitive!! Ive had a few spills myself😂
Hahahah yeah he's gonna need to get used to that front break lol
@@utmx I highly recommend EBC carbon X's over the stock pads if you want them softer.
You got a wheelie over that **** with some speed behind it
Definitely lol. Can't stop before it!
I picked one of these recently and it's a great bike! Plenty of power, handles awesome with great suspension. I love my Beta's but I'm really thinking of switching to this bike as my main ride. They are just so fun to ride, super capable and have a lot of that old school moto feel with a modern frame/suspension. So far I haven't missed the button either.
nice riding brotha! do the 300s need a fan kit for this type of singletrack?
I've never needed a fan on the 300! This was all uphill super steep and got stuck a bunch and still never overheated!
Let the 4 stroke 350s show you boys how to clear that. ha ha ha
Hahahaha the 350 would flame out half way up and you flip backwards like the guy in the video hahah
@@utmx Not my 350.new ecu and maps. #Braaaaap
Sad that i missed this video 4 months ago! You made some great points, I love this bike.
What bike do you ride?
@@utmx 2017 yz250x
@@PNWSingleTrack awesome bike!!
Awesome! When you say that the suspension is soft, is it CRF300 soft or...?
I just mean plush! Not harsh! When you hit sharp edge rocks you don't feel them at all!
@@utmx Thanks for clarifying.
@@stefanhansen5882
How many miles do u get on that gallon?
Never tried all the way to empty on the mx bike. Over 40 for sure
Is this the husky version of the ktm xc300? and the te300 is like the 300 xcw?
You nailed it! However the husky te300 has 1 difference from the xcw. The rear suspension on the te30p is linkage while on the xcw it is pds
You that’s my family camping in the salamander flats parking lot
Hahaha that crazy!
@@utmx yeah crazy. Also… 250FX or 250X for single track?
@@CarterCrap-22 depends! if its fast flowy single track then the 250fx is so good! if its tight and rough terrain then the 250x is better!
Mine is a rocket. I have it turned down and still sick power. Love it.
It's a great bike!
hey just a little bit of advice but try to stand up a little bit more because it gives u more control over the bike and feels better when going over rocks. good job dude
👍
Isn't it what is it built for?
Well it's basically the motocross bike with a few tweaks... I'd say the bike is definitely more cross country race feel than it is tight trail enduro feel like a 300xcw. However it is great in the tight stuff it's definitely much better in more open higher speed areas
@@utmx Fair point
@@KapitanPisoar1 😀
@@utmx And let's be honest people been riding dirtbikes on trails forever. Now they do couple of changes and market them as "enduro" bikes. But 90% wouldn't know the difference anyway...

Where is this at in Utah?
American fork canyon!
Never seen so many birch trees
Haha this is just a small section. Lots of pine trees up this canyon with some random sections of aspens
I have the same bike , same carb too , i accidentally added 32:1 premix instead of 40:1 that the carburetor was built for . My lectron cab has premix that leaked around the bottom of the carb , do you think i ruined the lectron carb ?
I do! Mine got stolen!
Dang sorry to hear that!!!
I bought a 19 brand new and now many years later best bike I’ve ever owned. I’ve had zero problems bullet proof bike. I also bought. 22 brand new Ktm xc-w300 great bike but I still prefer riding my yz 250x .
Love to hear it! What do you like more about the yz over your xcw?
How's the weight when riding vs yz250x
Honestly the tx300 feels super light as well. The yz is definitely a little lighter but the tx feels amazing!
@@utmx thanks
Just sold my 250x as well Looking at a 2020 tx300i Looks fun
Awesome you will enjoy it! I had a 2020 300xc and I loved it!
This could just be titled, one guy likes 2 strokes and one likes 4 :D I find the 350 is a bigger cheater bike than the 300, but the flame-outs suck and the fun-factor on the 300 is way higher. You do get used to feathering, but not having to worry about it is a lot nicer, especially when rolling over roots or logs.
Hahahaha good title! I feel like each bike is a cheater but in different areas! Rough terrain the 300 is so much better than anything! But outside of rough trails the 350 is amazing!
@@utmx Ya for sure, the main thing that ruins the 350 in the super tight stuff is the flameouts, and just how hot it runs in general. I will say tho, on hillclimbs it's pretty hard to beat!
@@ShawnBlais yes you are right! ah man it climbs like a dream!!! love that 350 on hills
You freakin SUCKKKKKKK no offence that first little tree root section stopped you?!??
Fuck them slow wheelies pop that shit doing 15 and go faster with it
That was sick! I’m hoping to get this bike soon
Enjoy it! They are amazing bikes!
I have a 24 tx300 & 350 Mostly I ride the 350 but man does the 300 put a smile on your face , that thing is a rocket
Yeah man both bikes are just so dang fun!
If you want a better bike which will last much much longer and way less maintenance,!it’s going to be the 2stroke.
2 strokes are best!
Looking at buying one in the next week or so. Is your bike bone stock or is there aftermarket accessories? Just asking for trail riding purposes
Bone stock! Just hand gaurds. Awesome man it's an amazing bike! Only downfall is no e start. Other than that it's such a fun bike!
Put a Rekluse Radius CX in that 350 and it'll be the best bike you've ever rode.
That would make it absolutely unstoppable haha
I’ve got an Fe250 with a radius cx and it’s incredible. Goes anywhere. A 350 would be even better
@@airindiana i bet thats a super fun bike!

@@gkling33 haha im literally uploading a fall colors ride video right now haha
Just a quick question! Before you start it do you find top dead centre first then kick it?
Nope! I just kick it nothing special. I open the throttle barley as I kick
@@utmx awesome, i recently just got a 2003 rm250 and for it to start it needs to be top dead centre. It ideals and runs amazing once its started tho
Absolutely love my TX 300, hands down the best bike I have ever owned bar none. Nothing like a traditional 2 stroke, its got such a linear power delivery, no engine braking, has insane power you can even ride a gear high just to smooth things out and it will still pull like a bullet train. so confidence inspiring and so happy they did away with the air fork. Coming from predominantly 4t to the 2t my arm pump disappeared entirely i can ride all day now, i carry far more momentum, sounds cooler, not quite as hot. mixing gas can be a pain in the ass at times and the frame is a little stiff but being extremely knit picky.
The new forks are so much better than the air! Yes mixing gas sucks but I have 3 big gas cans I mix and they last a long time! Such a good bike!
300 xcw is a cheat code! Idc what anyone says lol
It definitely is! I personally like the xc better but both are amazing

350 vs 501 vs 450 for single track
350 takes it for me. 350 is my fav 4 stroke by a long shot. I've never ridden the husky 501 but I've ridden the sherco version. And I've ridden tons of 450.
@@utmx thx
Not sure what's with all the hate, looks like your having fun, that's all that matters. Have you ever tried a yz125x?
There's always haters! Not yet but I wanna try one I hear they are amazing!
Came across 2 guys on 250 XCWs when on my CRF450RL. We grouped up and had a good time. I’ve been looking to get a KTM/Husky 2 stroke and the one guy was gracious enough to let me try his bike. Immediately fell in love with it. Hoping to get one soon.
You will love it! Lots of shops still have last year's modles for sale for great deals!
Have you made the comparison video with the yz250x yet? If not let me know, mine is setup perfect for mtn singletrack in utah. I can give an honest opinion, plus I'm thinking about the 300tx as well...
Last ride I was gonna make that video but we did a new trail that ended up being super hard so I never switched bikes! Next ride I'm for sure gonna do a back to back! I personally like the tx300 better! However the 250x is an awesome bike!
@utmx which one is lighter to ride
@@204bcrider hmmm initially the 250x feels a little lighter but after you tip over and kick start it the 300 begins to be less tiring and feel lighter haha. both are very light nimble bikes but the yz is a little more nimble
@@utmx thanks I’m switching from kx450f to more enduro I need more light weight to able lift the bike and adjust on the trail
@@204bcrider you will love the switch! the enduro bikes are so much better on trails than the mx bikes
My husband and I both have the 300 and the 350, just like you said they are both fantastic bikes you can't go wrong with either. We have hard enduro here and desert so its the perfect pair to own.
Best duo possible!!
Own both, 95% of the time i prefer my 4T, but when the trail gets super gnarly the 2T is definitely easier. 4T is a better go fast bike, 2T is a better go anywhere bike. Edit: One note on the riding style on the 350, you're trying to plunk through rough stuff on the 350 like you do on the 300. The 350 is easier to ride if you just go faster, it rewards aggression and develops rider skill. Stand up, stay loose, and carry more momentum through those rocks and ruts.
I agree! First time I rode the 350 was in the desert and I just about went and bought one on my way home! So good when going fast!
100% agree with this - in our riding group we have a bunch of KTM-group two strokes and four strokes, so I get to ride a bunch of them back to back. In few words - 2T is nimble, 4T is stable. Two stroke you can zig sag around and make quick adjustments to your line. Four stroke doesn't reward that kind of riding. Instead, you look ahead, pick the smoothest curves through the woods, and then just hammer down and plow over things. The powerband on a 4T is very smooth, broad, and you have a lot of torque/traction to make that happen, which is why pretty much 100% of the top woods racers are on 4T bikes now days. On a 350 you're making good consistent torque from like 3 to 12k RPM. 2T is a master of the gnar, no question there - less heat, feels lighter, doesn't stall/flame out, cheaper to fix when you break it. A few years back I had a Suzuki DR650 that I rode a ton of singletrack on (with significantly upgraded suspension, but not much else). That bike did an awesome job of teaching me the 4T riding style, because you're not zig sagging that 360lb pig (400+ with a big tank and luggage) 😄
@DmitriyAdv very well said! It's awesome to ride with groups so you can experience a bunch of different bikes without having to own them haha!
@@utmx for sure, I think experiencing different bikes is a huge part of the fun! Demo rides are cool and all, but the little loops only give you a small part of the experience.
@DmitriyAdv definitely! I always switch bikes with people every ride!

2025 TX300 has the new frame and no ugly gray plastic. Getting one this fall hopefully. Rockstar graphics, black GUTS seat and blue titanium FMF muffler 👍😎
Your gonna love it!! I'm a fan of the grey though hahaha
I'm picking my new 350f in a day. The timing on this video is perfect!
The 350 is an amazing bike! You will love it! Especially in smooth or faster trails that sucker shines!!!
I’m always looking for these videos. I’m in between right now, leaning more towards the 350f for me, but I’m scared it’s going to feel more like a fast 250f instead of a slow 450f power wise….. I dunno
I feel ya! Honestly in the green map that 350 has tons of power! I'd say it definitely feels more like a 450 then a 250 power wise! I've ridden a ton of bikes the last 2 years and the 350 instantly stands out in the crowd as one of the best I've ever ridden! There's a reason all the pros say everyone should be on a 350! They are great! In the end I'm a 2 stroke guy but the 350 almost and still might get me to change sides haha
Go with the 2t, no engine braking, linear power delivery just like the 350 but it feels significantly lighter. I never get arm pump on my 2t because of the lack of engine braking vs the 4t you have to really focus on body position to stop arm pump. I take my TX300 to the MX track, fast flowy trails, and tight hard enduro bumpy style riding. I've never been happier with a bike and everyone that rides it wants one.
You call that tight?
Sure do
Didn't you just make a video the 350 is the best lol😂
Best 4 stroke lol not best overall! And in desert the 350 is best! 350 is also really good all around if you do mt,desert, dunes, moto
