Customizing cars and motorcycles is a combination of art and technology, where the vehicle is modified according to one’s preferences and personality. We carry out small and large modifications and tune-ups of cars and motorcycles, as well as assembly of engines. Maximiser puissance et couple avec cet impeccable collecteur d’admission à double chambre style WRC
Le collecteur d’admission à double chambre Dual Plenum DPIM de la société MW Steel maximise la puissance et le couple du moteur. Basé sur la loi du physicien suisse Bernoulli, le tube conique spécialement conçu, qui forme la chambre primaire du collecteur, assure une pression et un débit d’air uniformes, permettant ainsi d’utiliser les valeurs d’alimentation d’allumage optimales et égales pour tous les cylindres. Cela permet d’harmoniser le fonctionnement du moteur tout en évitant les facteurs de stress indésirables tels que la détonation, maximisant ainsi la fiabilité et la durée de vie du moteur.
Fabriqué à partir d'un alliage d'aluminium de qualité 6082, ce produit inédit a été testé sur des moteurs de course de plus de 1000 ch dans des conditions rigoureuses de pressions et de températures élevées. Avec près de 2000 unités livrées, et motivés par sa fiabilité et ses hautes performances, nous avons décidé de sortir ce kit d'assemblage DIY, le rendant plus abordable pour ceux qui préfèrent construire un collecteur d'admission à double chambre similaire, et ce de manière rentable.

Settiä olen jo aikaisemmin katsellut👍 Olen käsittänyt että tämä dual plenium olisi melko tarkka mitoitukseltaan ja toteutuksessa katsotaan laajalti moottorin tietoja. Käsitykseni mukaan tuon kammioiden yhdistävä railon pinta-ala suhteessa muihin mittoihin olisi tärkeä suhteuttaa, vai riittääkö ahtoputken halkaisijan pinta-ala tähän? Entä railon sijoittaminen isompaan pleniumiin? Entä moottorin ilman tarpeen ja pleniumin tilavuuden runnerien pituudesta, koosta ja suppiloiden koon vaikutuksesta imusarjan rakenteeseen ja rakennukseen? Entä onnistuisiko muuttuva pituuksisen/geometrisen mekanismin rakentaminen pleniumin sisälle?
Elä kysele noin vaikeita, kyseessä on markkinointivideo.
Mukana tulevalla seikkaperäisellä rakennusohjeella on vastaukset näihin kaikkiin edellä mainittuihin kysymyksiin paitsi tuohon viimeisimpään. Tämän muuttuvapituuksisen imusarjan valmistus kotelon sisälle on varmasti mahdollista, se on varmaan riippuvainen ainoastaan rakentajasta itsestään.

Kyseistä imusarjaa on käytetty vapaasti hengittävissä moottoreissa hyvälläkin menestyksellä. Tietysti pieniä muutoksia kannattaa tehdä railon leveyden suhteen. Imusarjan ideaali käyttökohde on kuitenkin ahdetussa moottorissa.
Myykää noita kartioputkia ja koteloita erikseen. Ois varmasti ostajia😉
I love these products, but your delivery is so robotic that it would be hard for some people to listen to.
The design is highly neglecting the fact that the distribution of the flow in the plenum connected to the intakes "taper" is not statical, equally distributed, that the "pressure" on the other side of the taper, being bleed of is not equally distributed, and assumes a static flow of fluid.. When flow analysis is made, it is often (read always) simplified by having all of the intake valves open at the same time, and such flow is VERY far from true transient flow where valves are open only part of the time and altering position as it is on the engine. When proper analysis is made, it can easily be shown that for same total volume (all of the volume after TB) there is no benefit with the "twin" taper designs compared to traditional with proper tapering (as the ones shown as "reference" at the end of the video).

Hi Johan! You could try reducing the size of the pressure box for a better fit. The material is highly machinable and weldable.
@ Thanks for that info. We currently building a big turbo F56 Mini Cooper S that will run direct port nitrous and direct port methanol injection. With the way BMW built these mini’s they didn’t leave a lot of room around the area where the intake sit. We currently machining an intake manifold but definitely want to look in to your system as some stage as it will dramatically reduce production cost as we want to retail these manifolds

The advantages of this style of plenum should be more throttle response because of smaller plenum volume. If you make the plenum 3.4 liters for a 4cyl, any regular intake would work the same. A big plenum would ensure equal distribution on all runners no mater how the air gets in the plenum. I read somewhere that it was used on audi 5cyl rally car engine for that reason and it is necessary to insure equal distribution on all runners when using a small volume plenum for response. That means it is beneficial in certain specific circumstances but not a one size fit all solution. To take advantage of this design's potential benefits you would need some of research like try and build 2-3 intakes to test on the dyno to see what works best for your specific application.
Hi, @skerlone: It is true that throttle response improves the smaller the plenum displacement is. However, based on our experience, nearly all single plenum intake manifolds suffer from irregular cylinder fillings across the cylinder bank, which can be overcome with our conical dual plenum structure, especially in high boost conditions. The beauty of this kit is, that you can keep the plenum volume reduced, and still achieve both benefits, i.e. better throttle response and even air flow distribution to all cylinders, and so by enable to set optimized and max equal timing advances for all. In most cars there simply isn't sufficient space for a large plenum, and in most race cars, the plenum size is mandatorily restricted, hence the wonderful acceptance of this kit. According to our numerous car projects and vast experience, the 3,4L dual plenum manifold displacement of our build kit is optimal for 3 and 4 cylinder engines and enables to place the kit very flexibly to suit the space available in your engine compartment with very positive results, as described in our video above.
I very much doubt people are going to buy this kit a lot- benefits aren't clear nor quantified and on top of that you need to do it yourself. Doubtful combination. I guess you need to start selling products for specific engines and show the difference in some sort of visualisation...
It is better than any DIY solution. So it is safe way to build your own manifold.

I've been involved in car tuning for last 20 years and I can tell you for sure- only small percentage of people is willing to be involved in DIY stuff. Most of the people prefer to buy bolt-on solution. It's not only about tuning, it's about human being life in general - it's scientific fact that people try to avoid making decisions so based on that fact I would change selling strategy for this product.

This system works really well on higher boost application s Original design was from Litchenstien When below 20 psi or 1.5 bar Not a great advantage It does really shine on high boost and makes more mid range torque Highly recommend this when you’re getting serious power
The higher the boost, the better the conical primary plenum functions.
K24 and SR20 will be a huge market. Might be interest in VK56 and VH45. Volvo S60R "WhiteBlock" 5 Cyl needs one as well. I think the LS people will be too uneducated to use this.

Hi, Adam! It's been designed primarily for forced induction applications, but nothing prevents using it in N/A engines as well.

How would you go about doing this on a twin turbo V8? Would you put a crossover to balance the pressure between the two cylinder banks in the intake manifold or would you recommend doing in the turbo charge pipes?
Hi, Grant! We've done V8's with separate feeds on both banks, so you may want to try doing it in already in the turbo charge pipes.
We did this design dual Chamber intake on my miata 12+ years ago replicating the old rally intakes. Works really well and looks good.

Yes it can reduce the surface temperature but wouldn't it act as an insulator to the turbo? And would that extra heat cause issues?
