Truly one of the most depressing (and distressing) authors I’ve ever had the misfortune to read. Well crafted stories that leave the reader feeling horrible. Wtf? Is this some obscure neuro divergent quirk? If I needed more death, cruelty and pain- I’d reread Dostoevsky, at least I’d know what I was getting into.

I just finished reading Perfect Shadow and wanted to say that it didn't take long to get used to the different writing style and thought it worked great to condense the story. This was a real treat to get more storyline in Midcyru. And, I'll never forget the day I picked up The way of Shadows from the laundry room book exchange back in my apartment living days :)

For a moment when I was reading the books I thought that Dazen had only imagined his brother was in the cell and he didnt actually exist. Because the series plays a lot with the idea of people going crazy and not realizing it.

Finished Nemesis yesterday. Wasn't a huge fan of the diary framing device, but the story was enjoyable and I'm looking forward to returning to explore Midcyru in the sequel(s?) and hopefully get some Durzo screentime.

While I absolutely love the standard novels themselves (and feel very much that they should be a live-action HBO Max series), I really enjoyed having another medium to read the books in the form of the graphic novels. About 300 pages in now and I have a question. Brent? Was this really the most interested part of this story? This feels less like your previous works and more like Eragon's long winded, political, mess Christopher Paolini called worldbuilding. I'm not invested in this storyline and for every question answered, 4 more pop up that frustrate my ability to engage with the characters.

The small group chats sound awesome, there's so many things I'd love to ask and hear your thoughts on. I think 8 is a good number. If you do ahead with these, would you have a sign up list on your website or would you organise attendees another way?

Mr Weeks, I can honestly say that the Night Angel books of yours are the only books I’ve read since high school, and I’m 40! Picked up the first one at an airport bookstore on my way home from military leave. Those books are so great. I honestly don’t like reading but by chance I happened to see your book and it caught my eye and I bought it. I instantly was hooked and got the next book on my way home from my next military leave. Same with the third. It’s been over 10 years now and I’ve probably read the books a good 10 times. I own all the audiobooks too. Probably have listened to them a good 10 times too, if not more! Been waiting so long for another Night Angel book! Thank you sir!
