Car Chase Heroes - Bond DB5 Blast
My all-too-short two laps in the replica Bond DB5, at Abingdon Airfield Circuit in Oxfordshire in November 2023.
While not a genuine 1960s Aston Martin, this replica really looks the part, and is powerful and enormous fun to drive - and (I'm told) was involved in the production of the final Danial Craig Bond Movie, No Time to Die.
This was a gift from last Christmas (Virgin Experience Voucher), and although it took me until November to book my drive, was worth the wait!

Replica Fair Organ
Переглядів 247Рік тому
Between 1967 and 1979 my Granddad, Cyril Runnicles built a working replica Fair Organ at my grandparents' home in Beccles, Suffolk. Sadly, my Granddad passed away in 1981, however his Fair Organ was eventually put on display as part of the "Bygones" exhibition at Holkham Hall. Here we see the organ bringing joy to the visitors to Holkham in 1998! Sadly, the Bygones exhibition closed some years ...
British Airways 787-10 Takeoff and Landing
Переглядів 2,7 тис.Рік тому
My first flight since the pandemic, on board the nearly brand new British Airways Boeing 787-10 G-ZBLB travelling from London's Heathrow Airport to Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson Airport. A surprise upgrade to one of the new Club World suites made this extra special! This video captures the Takeoff from an incredibly arid looking Heathrow during the long dry summer of 2022 - capturing the wonderf...

Returning to London City Airport (LCY) from Glasgow (GLA) on 23rd June 2019, after our trip to attend the amazing 'Beautiful Trauma' P!nk concert at Hampden Park. My first flight aboard a British Airways CityFlyer Embraer E190SR, G-LCYK, with a somewhat choppy approach into a cloudy London.
Florida's Sunshine Skyway 1979
Переглядів 7 тис.2 роки тому
In May 1979, while on a family vacation to Florida (from England), we drove across the original 'Sunshine Skyway' on our way from St. Petersburg Beach to Busch Gardens. My parents captured some clear cine footage of the crossing - here making our way southbound across Tampa Bay. I was just nine years old in May '79, but remember feeling somewhat nervously excited, mainly by the apparent steepne...
Delta Air Lines - Engineering Base 1992
Переглядів 2442 роки тому
While on a team to install some Flight Simulators to the Delta Air Lines training facility in Atlanta in fall 1992, we had an opportunity to visit the Maintenance Base at The Hartsfield Airport (as it was known then). Lots of classic types here, including the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar, Boeing 727 and Boeing 757.
Driving into Blackpool - mid 1960s

A nostalgic look at Blackpool in the mid 1960s. This short cine film - taken by my parents before I was born - records their arrival in the seaside town for a summer holiday. Nice to see clear roads - and the variety of vintage cars in daily use! Music: www.bensound.com

New York City - 1999 and 2019
Переглядів 1,9 тис.2 роки тому
Twenty years separated my two visits to New York City, in June 1999 and Oct/Nov 2019. Here I have attempted to combine together selected highlights from each trip recorded on video. I showed the result to my 11 year old daughter, who immediately noticed the total lack of 'smartphones' in the 1999 footage. She said "People are talking to each other in the old video". Very different times! Very m...
Norwegian Boeing 787-9 Take-off from JFK, Nov 2019
Переглядів 1672 роки тому
My first trip to New York City in 20 years, having last visited in June 1999 - this time with my family - took place just a few short months prior to the COVID19 pandemic, and sadly also, as it turned out, the end of long range travel by Norwegian Air from the UK. This was an absolutely beautiful NYC morning to depart on Norwegian's day-time Dreamliner service to London Gatwick. From my vantage...
Hong Kong 1991

Zap Rap - Hong Kong Kid's TV in 1991
Переглядів 2933 роки тому
While working shifts on site in Hong Kong in the spring of 1991, I would often switch on the TV in my hotel to see this - 'Zap Rap', a Kid's TV show from TVB Pearl. The presenters were Yorks Tong (At least I think that was her name.... shown in this clip) and Jeremy. I captured this short clip here as a memory of my ten weeks in Hong Kong that year!
New York World Trade Center Area 1999 Unedited
Переглядів 99 тис.5 років тому
My original video upload "New York - World Trade Center 1999" includes edited footage of my trip to the World Trade Center, set to the some of the beautiful 'Across the Sea of Time' score composed by John Barry. However, I've noted that a few have commented that they would like to enjoy not only the sights - but also the sounds - of New York City and the World Trade Center unedited - exactly as...

Thr first stage of our family holiday to Italy this summer - our flight on British Airways from London Gatwick to Pisa's "Galileo Galilei" Airport. Our flight was on board British Airways Airbus A320-232 G-GATU, on 9th August 2018, with the in flight footage taken from seat 21A. Alas, the concentration of rain droplets on my window at Gatwick meant my iPhone camera could not focus beyond the wi...
Portsmouth to Caen on the M/V Mont St. Michel - Sep 2017
Переглядів 1,2 тис.6 років тому
In September 2017, as a short weekend-long adventure, our family travelled as foot passengers on the Brittany Ferries service between Portsmouth to Caen and back. Both journeys were onboard the MV Mont St. Michel ferry, staying overnight in a cabin on the leg to Caen, returning the following afternoon/evening after spending one night in the Ibis Styles hotel near the ferry port in Ouistreham. In my opinion, the world as we know today is shipped up by two events: the September 11 attack and the columbine massacre
Everyday I think about how much I would like to be in the WTC, whether it's in another life, in my dreams, in a VR experience... I just can't get over the fact that they've been gone for almost 23 years. 💔
0:23 a very rare old BA safety video which is very hard to find on YT. Wonder if anyone has a copy of it so that it can be published here.
When flying was great and amazing with gorgeous food and comfortable seats in economy class. Crew used to hand out playing cards and magazines etc too. What a pity it’s not like that anymore
BA got their moneys worth out of their 747-100's I remember seeing them at LHR in about 1996, They were due retirement and just looked dirty and clapped out!
1999 … you just had to be there , the air was even different man I miss being a kid
This looks like it was filmed yesterday If you forget about the video quality.
Back when aircraft had more than 2 engines.
Compared with today the 90's seem like a dream world... like a beautiful dream world which is lost forever and only lives on in our memories and hearts. 2020-24 seems like a nightmare compared to this beautiful footage and not just because of the pandemic, the inflation or the war in Ukraine, in general!!!!
The size of the seats makes me laugh.travellers were lucky then not the cattle cars we have nowadays.and at a time when britain had an airline.not the spanish owned rubbish we have now
8:44 Concert sponsored by American Airlines. Eerie
A very shaky hand
Clunky. Is that an American Airlines 747 SP at 4:13?
Who stills watching this in 2024? #neverforget
The M25 is empty!
You have a fine piece of history my friend thank you for sharing it
こんな穏やかな時間がずっと続くと思っていました 見せてくれてありがとう😊
Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.
That takeoff power set was Perfecto. 🤌
4:42 benches looked great for skating
Just like JFK’s assassination changed the trajectory of our country, 9/11 changed it again 😥
Господи, какая высота..
the greatest decade
Yes, the 90s seem like a beautiful dream world, a world that is lost forever and only lives on in the memories and hearts of those who remember.
Алла я в бар! Алла я в бааааар!
The twin towers were just two buildings. What we really miss is the sense of security and hope for the future.
L-1011 was the boss…..amazing guys above checking in on this video.
I was born in 1964.16 years young in 1980.What a great decade!!!
Looked like 2 massive graves from the get go
it's called islam
I understand strong feelings about what happened, but let’s remember that the group behind the attacks was not affiliated with Islam as a whole. They hijacked it, just as they hijacked the planes they used as missiles. They poisoned and perverted its principles in order to indoctrinate and brainwash easily manipulated people into joining them. Islam does not condone this, so we should not condemn them, but rather the people who could have taken Islam or left it, they just used it to gain support and power in their political motives. I mean really, Bin Laden’s PC had a metric ton of adult videos and games, something Islam denounced. If he truly cared about Islam, he wouldn’t have lived the life he lived, and done the things he did. He was an extremist, as was the group that did it. Islam would never support this.
It's called religious extremism and fundamentalism. Radical Islam is just one specific expression of that particular brand of degeneracy. But if you're blaming all Muslims for the actions of said extremists, you're as bad as the ones you're criticizing. The solution is education and not tolerating bullshit fearmongering and misinformation, not bigotry.
al qeada does not represent islam. dont be racist.
Beautiful song, so sad
Kids today will never understand how different America was back at this time vs now
I miss the 90s
Beautiful Video Thank You America
This is a beautiful painful memory of our beautiful America that has now been destroyed by the administration of Washington DC
I was 3 months old when the tragedy happened and now I’m 22 Years Old
What a Joy. I took a BA flight in 1990 from BFS Belfast to Manchester and then onto JFK. Reminds me of the excitement of my first time travelling on an airliner, never mind across the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks for sharing as I'm back there in my youth!
All of you who is thinking your old America has gone , its true. You know why?? Its curse of all cows and animals your ancestors ate. Harsh but true.
America today. Run by a pedophilic geriatric, a completely corrupt government, inflation, and the driest and most easily offended people imaginable. Im living in the wrong time. This looks like a utopia. :(
90's were the best
for USA.
@@tauhidershadKUFNAFLORAN social networks didn't exist in usa but in all the world neither, and most of the culture of usa people all over the world could enjoy, and there was eurodance from the 90, 2000 decade that was not from usa for example, it was a good era to be alive, of you were from usa but if you were from other places too
Sehr schöne Bilder und ein super Sound Track. 😌 Danke✨
I was born in 1999 in NYC and was two years old when 9/11 happened. I have no memory at all of that day, but I remember growing up in the aftermath. I was constantly hearing updates of the war on terror and everyone was living in fear to some extent. We were all waiting for the next thing to blow up, convinced that the terrorists would do it again. People would get uncomfortable at the mention of planes, bombs or skyscrapers, and the 9/11 attack was just a constant, looming shadow over everyone that was impossible to ignore. I dont remember life any other way
I wish the world could go back to the way it was back then. Everything changed that fateful day and things were never quite the same again.
Many skyscrapers from the past to present
Classic
Hi there! I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out because I wanted to ask you if this video could be used as part of a documentary that I'm working on. The film is about Ukraine, and it also explores the way Western culture influenced the country after the dissolution of the USSR. I hope to hear from you soon!
Hello there. Thank you for your message - I am well thanks. Thanks also for the interesting request. I must admit, this record of my transatlantic flight on British Airways in 1990 wouldn't be the first subject that comes to mind when thinking of a documentary about Ukraine! I'd be happy to hear more about your plan however. You're very welcome to email me at MRunnicles@gmail.com. Kind Regards
What was the movie?
'Bird on a Wire', the Mel Gibson/Goldie Hawn vehicle
America vs America!

Thanks for sharing this. I was on top of the South Tower four times, the last in 2000. The first was with my father in 1976. It was one of the few times that we did something together. He passed away a little over three year ago. God do I wish I could find those old photos now.
