Car Chase Heroes - Bond DB5 Blast
My all-too-short two laps in the replica Bond DB5, at Abingdon Airfield Circuit in Oxfordshire in November 2023.
While not a genuine 1960s Aston Martin, this replica really looks the part, and is powerful and enormous fun to drive - and (I'm told) was involved in the production of the final Danial Craig Bond Movie, No Time to Die.
This was a gift from last Christmas (Virgin Experience Voucher), and although it took me until November to book my drive, was worth the wait!

Replica Fair Organ
Переглядів 263Рік тому
Between 1967 and 1979 my Granddad, Cyril Runnicles built a working replica Fair Organ at my grandparents' home in Beccles, Suffolk. Sadly, my Granddad passed away in 1981, however his Fair Organ was eventually put on display as part of the "Bygones" exhibition at Holkham Hall. Here we see the organ bringing joy to the visitors to Holkham in 1998! Sadly, the Bygones exhibition closed some years ...
British Airways 787-10 Takeoff and Landing

My first flight since the pandemic, on board the nearly brand new British Airways Boeing 787-10 G-ZBLB travelling from London's Heathrow Airport to Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson Airport. A surprise upgrade to one of the new Club World suites made this extra special! This video captures the Takeoff from an incredibly arid looking Heathrow during the long dry summer of 2022 - capturing the wonderf...

Returning to London City Airport (LCY) from Glasgow (GLA) on 23rd June 2019, after our trip to attend the amazing 'Beautiful Trauma' P!nk concert at Hampden Park. My first flight aboard a British Airways CityFlyer Embraer E190SR, G-LCYK, with a somewhat choppy approach into a cloudy London.
Florida's Sunshine Skyway 1979

In May 1979, while on a family vacation to Florida (from England), we drove across the original 'Sunshine Skyway' on our way from St. Petersburg Beach to Busch Gardens. My parents captured some clear cine footage of the crossing - here making our way southbound across Tampa Bay. I was just nine years old in May '79, but remember feeling somewhat nervously excited, mainly by the apparent steepne...
Delta Air Lines - Engineering Base 1992

While on a team to install some Flight Simulators to the Delta Air Lines training facility in Atlanta in fall 1992, we had an opportunity to visit the Maintenance Base at The Hartsfield Airport (as it was known then). Lots of classic types here, including the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar, Boeing 727 and Boeing 757.
Driving into Blackpool - mid 1960s

A nostalgic look at Blackpool in the mid 1960s. This short cine film - taken by my parents before I was born - records their arrival in the seaside town for a summer holiday. Nice to see clear roads - and the variety of vintage cars in daily use! Music: www.bensound.com

New York City - 1999 and 2019

Twenty years separated my two visits to New York City, in June 1999 and Oct/Nov 2019. Here I have attempted to combine together selected highlights from each trip recorded on video. I showed the result to my 11 year old daughter, who immediately noticed the total lack of 'smartphones' in the 1999 footage. She said "People are talking to each other in the old video". Very different times! Very m...
Norwegian Boeing 787-9 Take-off from JFK, Nov 2019
Переглядів 1703 роки тому
My first trip to New York City in 20 years, having last visited in June 1999 - this time with my family - took place just a few short months prior to the COVID19 pandemic, and sadly also, as it turned out, the end of long range travel by Norwegian Air from the UK. This was an absolutely beautiful NYC morning to depart on Norwegian's day-time Dreamliner service to London Gatwick. From my vantage...

Zap Rap - Hong Kong Kid's TV in 1991
Переглядів 3123 роки тому
While working shifts on site in Hong Kong in the spring of 1991, I would often switch on the TV in my hotel to see this - 'Zap Rap', a Kid's TV show from TVB Pearl. The presenters were Yorks Tong (At least I think that was her name.... shown in this clip) and Jeremy. I captured this short clip here as a memory of my ten weeks in Hong Kong that year!
New York World Trade Center Area 1999 Unedited

My original video upload "New York - World Trade Center 1999" includes edited footage of my trip to the World Trade Center, set to the some of the beautiful 'Across the Sea of Time' score composed by John Barry. However, I've noted that a few have commented that they would like to enjoy not only the sights - but also the sounds - of New York City and the World Trade Center unedited - exactly as...

Thr first stage of our family holiday to Italy this summer - our flight on British Airways from London Gatwick to Pisa's "Galileo Galilei" Airport. Our flight was on board British Airways Airbus A320-232 G-GATU, on 9th August 2018, with the in flight footage taken from seat 21A. Alas, the concentration of rain droplets on my window at Gatwick meant my iPhone camera could not focus beyond the wi...
Portsmouth to Caen on the M/V Mont St. Michel - Sep 2017

In September 2017, as a short weekend-long adventure, our family travelled as foot passengers on the Brittany Ferries service between Portsmouth to Caen and back. Both journeys were onboard the MV Mont St. Michel ferry, staying overnight in a cabin on the leg to Caen, returning the following afternoon/evening after spending one night in the Ibis Styles hotel near the ferry port in Ouistreham. Someone broke the world.
Memories
Most Americans never visited the WTC then the Jews and CIA blew it. Didn’t they
Majestic buildings with bittersweet horrific memories. I miss the good ole days. We live in a different world now.
This is a really great channel. Thank you for all the videos you posted.
Very well done...Evokes that haunting phrase, "Nostalgia is an awareness that was has been will never be again ."
those scenes at 1:58… seem like just any other shopping mall even if it was several stories up… just a memory of a place i’ll never be able to visit
*25 years ago: real america.*
Why do you say this?

They helped develop the very internet that has ruined the minds of people all over the world. Massively unintended consequences of what was originally thought to be a hopeful and promising future. Now we are nigh upon apocalypse and dystopia. The internet has ruined us. Myself included. Very sad. These were better and lighter days indeed.
Why do you say the internet has destroyed humanity?
@TiagoGomez-hb9te because it has ruined the family with pornography
@TiagoGomez-hb9te pornography has ruined the family
@@TiagoGomez-hb9te The family unit has been destroyed by internet corn
@TiagoGomez-hb9te they keep censoring this comment which continues to prove my point
There’s a young family that I follow on TikTok who have three adorable small children. The parents weren’t even born when this video was taken.
What a shitty place to live.
Isso não é uma gravação de 1999 isso é uma gravação de 2010 uau!! Imaginar que na quela época já tinha câmera desse nível

I was there in Sept. 1998, 4th, exactly the same weather
I was 1 years old when this was filmed, crazy
2:58-Anyone was in this area when United 175 crashed into the building.
The music to this video is beautiful, it reminds me of the music in the 1980 movie ' raise the Titanic ' , love to know what the name of the music and who it's by.God bless Stephen of Christchurch New Zealand.
@@stephendurelos the music is listed in the description 🤨🙂
Thank you Michael for your reply, sorry I'm not very tec savvy , still don't know how to use a electronic calculator, yes I'm old . Your video on Blackpool was amazing, love to make it there some day . God bless Stephen Durelos 🕊️
@@stephendurelos thank you Stephen! Yes this and ‘Raise the Titanic’ were composed by John Barry, one of my favourite composers. Glad you also like the Blackpool video, funnily enough I haven’t been there either! The clip is from one of my Dad’s cine films from the 1960s…. Best Regards
Could someone tell me where this beautiful music is from? It figts this so well. I miss the Twin Towers so much. They were the best part of my life. Nothing has come remotely close to them.
It's in the description if you look! From 'Across the Sea of Time' by John Barry, a beautiful piece of music
The fact that they wouldn't know 2 years later these two tower will disappear for always...
You’re a goofy
thank you for pairing this video with such beautiful music. John Barry is one of my favorites.
Mine too! I saw 'Across the Sea of Time' at the IMAX theater in New York City in 1997, and it seemed a perfect choice to accompany my video footage! I was lucky enough to see John Barry conducting his music live at the Royal Albert Hall in the 1990s.
Ah Yes 1999
This is such a beautiful video. Very poignant as well.
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
So glad this video is playing once again, after it was temporarily removed for a few days from UA-cam because of SESAC.
Just come across this video what beautiful footage memories of a beautiful place turned to total devastation few years later so very sad these building were destroyed but they can never destroy old memories of things that was god bless victims of 9.11
I’ve only been to NYC after 9/11, but somehow I miss the towers like I lost a friend. Maybe it’s just me wishing that day never happened, who knows. But God Bless all who lost their lives and the families who lost their loved ones
Haunting....
This is one of the few times I’ve ever watched a video on UA-cam and actually appreciated the music being added to the video. Well done.
Across the Sea of Time - John Barry ❤ Perfect music choice.
It's like the towers where the titanic of America. I saw a weird similarity between the way the two towers looked and the date that they were destroyed on because it was 9/11 and the towers look like an 1 1 . The full date is 9/11 2001 and you can read it like : 1+1+2 = 4 and that gives the exact total for the number of the target areas and buildings that where hit. There were 4 aircraft which were hijacked but one of them went down in a field somewhere in New York State. Just trying to make lemonade out of lemons go in peace.
Idk why, never visited them. But i miss them soo so much... The feeling, it's just something else. Beautiful times. They're so beautiful!
The good old days before liberals destroyed Denver
I went to nyc in August 2001, I wish I had went to the observatory at the top of the building. I remember that it wasn’t free
I am glad that I was able to see those buildings when I went to nyc, I never thought they would be destroyed, still unbelievable
The music sounds like a Merchant Ivory movie! Beautiful! Love the twin towers. 3:42 makes me think of Phillipe Petit. So glad he walked it/tight walked it. What a man. What a building/s. Thank you Minoru.
I was a month away from turning a year old when 9/11 happened. I have never seen the inside of the world trade center before. It's just sad knowing all of that's gone
Que nostalgia saber que ya no estan
I could only think about the jumpers during 911 when watching this. What a height it really was. They looked down and thought that was the only option.
I wonder how the people broke the glass windows, surely they would be triple, quadruple glazed
I wonder too.
Goosebumps to see how it was before
I'm Belgian, I've never been to New York and yet this video makes me sad and nostalgic.
NO SERIOUSLY THOSE BUILDINGS LOOKED LIKE PRISON CAGE CELLS
