Thanks for your video. I have been having various issues with my tablet but this one with the button was so irritating. Now I see a potential solution.

So let me get this straight, if you cant get it to charge then it wont power on.

Six months later ... I have to say the fix only worked temporarily. I am back to where I was before. I have now applied another piece of rubber, but it didn't seem to do the trick as well as it did before. I presume that actually the little metal plate switch is actually wearing out.

WOW! Ich habe mein ASUS Tablet gerade innerhalb von nicht mal 10 Min exakt so reparierert, wie der Mensch es vorgemacht hat! Absolut genial - herzlichen Dank dafür. Ich habe sogar - wie er - das bereits in der Rückwand klebende Schaumgummistück verwendet. Ich brauchte noch nicht einmal zusätzlichen Klebstoff... Habe es allerdings direkt auf den Kontakt und nicht auf den Knopf geklebt... Viva you tube!

Thank you so much! 15 Minutes after identifying the problem I was up & running again. And half of that time was spent searching this guitar pick that I hadn't used for 6 or 8 years but knew was around somewhere. The metal USB port got a little stuck on putting the case back on, but I just gave it a little downward nudge with the pick and the case clicked back into place.

Thanks a million for the help! I managed to open my ASUS zenpad P023 and repair my powerbutton after i Watch your video. My ASUS powerbutton was actually bent out of position for some reason, but i carefully pushed the button back in position and fixed/supported it by using adhesive at back side of the button.

I just got my tablet back from yet another sending in for repair for other issues and was really annoyed when now the power button got stuck! This fix saved me from sending it in again! Thanks a lot!

Another Thanks!!! Mine didn't open that way k010 Tf103c. My opening was on the side, not the top. I ended up using a pallet knife on a corner to get it started. Only thing I had that was thin enough to get in the seam. Credit card was too thick for me to start it with.
