The first time I learned about the new gods, I was a bit surprised. How can a mere mortal just "become" a god? Why can they be overthrown by other mere mortals, if they're supposed to be godlike? Why can WE, a party of no more than 4 guys without that much experience or knowledge just "kill" these supposed gods who supposedly won over the old gods? Then I understood. New gods are a farce. A very clever trick used by the older gods to keep humanity from going beyond. To satisfy them. Like you would give a cheap candy to a toddler to stop them from throwing a tantrum... To keep them from learning about the greater scheme of things. But nilvan saw past that, something that not even Nashrah or Valteil could. Gods cannot be created. Just like Gro-Goroth and Sylvian mandate, one must die in order to create a new one. BUT HEY! THAT'S JUST A THEORY
