Time lapse video of it not getting dark in Denali National Park and Preserve. I set my camera up about 11p.m. The battery lasted till about 2a.m., but that is as dark as it gets.
This is a Poplar video!

This is the removal of a Big Poplar Tree. My first real removal and climbing experience. I learned the entire process from UA-cam. Check out Educated Climber's channel! A BIG thanks to August Hunicke for his live review on his channel! I’m humbled. EducatedClimber ~ ua-cam.com/channels/roL14vN79ErKamK_dcopmQ.html August Hunicke ~ ua-cam.com/users/AugustJames2006

    Almost turned the vidio off,....but admired yer determination. When you brought out the "Sledge-a-matic" ,& the drift pins/ l "knew tou could DO IT"! It ALL looks kind of "Rinky-dink";( because it was bending the dipper-stick when activated)., Plus the Visibility is just about "SHOT" with that Contraption, just "Dangling out There ". My "factory unit" on a kubogy thats 4 sizes bigger was 900.°°$ 5 years ago. Its a VERY well Engineered atachment, but Realy NEEDS to be Hydrolicly activated to be 375% better. Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours.

    I bought the same thumb for my BX24 and faced the same issues. I have years of hands on experience in steel fabrication shops and there is no way I would try to design and fabricate this from scratch though I am more than capable of it. There are times whey you just spend the $$ and let someone else do the work. I would still buy this thumb even if I were faced with some major rework to make it fit.

    Just wondering how it's held up so far and would you still purchase or do anything different. I'm wanting to install a bolt on on my backhoe.

    • @backwoodsengineer

      The thumb has held up great. That metal plate I didn’t install….ends up that really important. Where the bolts run across my backhoe arm it puts too much pressure and bent the arm. The plate would prevent this. I have purchased a trenching bucket from Bxpanded. If I were doing it over I’d just buy from them. High quality stuff from Bxpanded.

    This motor has preformed very well. Easy to install and almost too fast for my little 11.3 Basstender boat. Smooth and very quiet. Very easy to use. I would purchase it again.

    Mine came with a plate that worked perfectly on the same model tractor as yours. Easy mount and fits great! No fighting. Not sure how to post a pic here, but has 3 bolts through it and put the 4th on the bottom of the boom. (Probably not necessary but hey it was in the hardware bag) 😁

    This thing has been the bane of my existence for the last 2 days... For SOME unknown reason that only the devil himself can fathom, Branson BH 90 Backhoe dipper arms are 1/2" wider than EVERY OTHER manufacturer of Backhoes of the same size... Even the Branson BH 100 and 150 have narrower dippers! Apparently, it's JUST the BH90 this thing won't fit on... The amount of fabrication I am going to have to do between cutting EVERYTHING apart, inserting new DOM tubing, steel support structure on not only the bracket, but the tooth assembly as well, and then welding it back together UNREAL! And Titan would only take the return if I PAID the shipping AND a restocking fee. So, I get what.. a whole $50 back! Hell... Branson doesn't even make an OEM thumb for the BH90 and no aftermarket company does either... Gonna be some hardcore redneck engineering going on to get this thing to work... SUCH a pain in the ASS!

    I bought one off ebay that fit a kobita. I have a kioti cs2510. I had to weld mine on and cut that top off the bracket where the cylander is. Works great for what it is. At 170.00 I'm not complaining. Better then 1000 kioti was wounting. Lol you had some of the same problem I had installing. Just a smigg from fitting correctly. At least you got the bolt in. Have you put a grappler on your bucket yet

    I sure am glad you posted this video! I purchased the very same thumb. I put mine on a DR backhoe. Seems to work fine except one of the bolts like the one you were having trouble with but on the bottom, sticks out far enough that the thumb will not fold up. I think washer under the head will fix it, or I'll cut it off. I wonder why those 2 bolts are there anyway. They don't seem to benefit its function at all. Anyway thanks for posting, it made it a whole lot easier for me.

    I bought one and it's a hazard!!! It slides up and down the boom to where i broke the coupling on the cylinder. $400 fix for a $200 boat anchor now. By the one thats for the kobota from kubota. This gentleman did a great job, and i found myself having the same problems and more. The tolerance in this product is awefull. Stay away

    • @backwoodsengineer
      @backwoodsengineer 4 роки тому

      I got time today brah that sucks. I’m sure quality control is lacking. So far mines been good. I’ve used it quite a bit. I don’t believe Kubota has a bolt on thumb. For certain models they have a built in attachment point for one Kubota makes. My BX is an earlier model without the factory attachment point.
