📍Gyeongju Hwangnidan Street (경주 황리단길)
Hwangnidan Street, originally called "Hwangnam Keungil" and located near Poseok-ro in Hwangnam-dong, derives its name from a blend of Hwangnam-dong and Gyeongnidan Street in Itaewon, Seoul. This name signifies it as the "Gyeongnidan Street of Hwangnam-dong." The street is lined with a variety of restaurants, cafes, photo studios, and shops, all housed in traditional hanok buildings, making it a favorite among the younger generation in Korea. The street's unique charm is enhanced by its "newtro" aesthetics, blending the old and worn buildings from the 1960s and '70s with modern elements. Hwangnidan Street's proximity to major tourist attractions like Cheomseongdae Observatory and Daereungwon Ancient Tombs has helped it become a prominent attraction in Gyeongju.
📍Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond (동궁과 월지)
Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, often referred to as Anapji Pond, is a beautiful historical site located in Gyeongju, South Korea. Originally constructed during the Silla Dynasty, it served as a secondary palace for the crown prince and as a banquet site for important state events. The palace structures were destroyed over time, but the pond remained, and in the 1970s, excavation and restoration efforts brought the area back to life. The pond is especially famous for its picturesque scenery, where traditional buildings are reflected in the water, creating a stunning view, particularly at night when the area is illuminated. It's a popular spot for visitors to experience the tranquil beauty and rich history of Gyeongju.

Hwangnidan-gil is a trendy and vibrant street in Gyeongju, known for its charming cafes, boutique shops, and traditional Hanok-style buildings. It's a favorite spot for both locals and tourists who are looking to enjoy modern comforts within a historic setting. One of the hidden gems of Hwangnidan-gil is the Bookshop Eoseo Eoseo (어서어서), a cozy and unique bookstore. This bookshop offers a wide range of books, from classic literature to contemporary works, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that invites visitors to relax and explore. It’s a perfect stop for book lovers and those looking to soak in the creative and artistic vibes of Gyeongju.
📍Tumuli Park (Daereungwon Tomb Complex, 대릉원)
Tumuli Park, also known as the Daereungwon Tomb Complex, is a historic area in Gyeongju where visitors can find large, grass-covered burial mounds that were the resting places of Silla royalty and nobility. The park features the iconic Cheonmachong Tomb, which is open to the public, allowing visitors to see replicas of the treasures found inside, including the famous golden crown of Silla. Walking through Tumuli Park offers a glimpse into the ancient practices and life of Korea's early kingdoms, set amidst beautifully landscaped grounds that are especially stunning during the autumn when the leaves change color.
