CRF 300L Rally Long-Term Review: 43,000 Miles from USA to Brazil—Is It Worth It?
🚴‍♂️ Honest CRF300L Rally Long-Term Review: 43,000 Miles from USA (Ohio) to Brazil - Uruguay
Nothing in this video is sponsored. I paid for everything myself. Absolutely nothing was given to me or discounted. This is a real review from a real person.
Most people won't see any problems with the CRF 300L until 30,000 plus miles. Most reviewers will never ride that much. They think everything is fine because the motorcycle they are reviewing is basically new.
Welcome to my ultimate long-term review of the Honda CRF300L Rally! After 43,000 miles of unforgettable adventure, starting in Ohio, USA, and taking me all the way to Brazil-and now just outside Montevideo, Uruguay-this motorcycle has been through it all. From smooth highways to rugged trails, scorching deserts to freezing mountain passes, this bike has been my companion.
In this video, I dive deep into the good, the bad, and the unexpected challenges of owning and riding the CRF300L Rally over such an epic distance. Here’s what I’ll cover:
✅ Reliability & Performance: Can Honda live up to its bulletproof reputation? How did the bike handle crashes, high altitudes, and daily abuse?
🔧 Maintenance & Repairs: Real-world insights into oil changes, chain and sprocket wear, and what happens when parts break down in remote locations.
⚙️ Upgrades & Mods: The best (and worst) modifications I made, including handguards, bash plates, suspension upgrades, and luggage systems.
🛤️ Off-Road and Touring Capabilities: How the CRF300L performs on dirt roads, sand, and hills-and why it’s a dual-sport you should consider for adventure riding.
💬 Who It’s For: Is the CRF300L Rally the right bike for beginners, intermediate riders, or seasoned adventurers? What are the alternatives if you’re planning an international journey?
From tire choices to the joys and frustrations of the slipper clutch, I don’t hold anything back in this honest, no-nonsense review. I even share my thoughts on why I might not choose this bike again for a future trip, despite all the amazing memories it’s helped create.
Whether you’re a beginner looking to start your motorcycle journey or an experienced rider curious about taking a smaller bike on a big adventure, this video will give you everything you need to know about the CRF300L Rally.
💡 Pro Tips for Adventurers:
How to prepare your bike for long trips.

Unfortunately a lot of the Africans were “bred” out either on purpose pushed by the Spanish agenda or just simply got mixed out with the natives over generations but you can very much still see some of the African genetics in some of the Veracruzanos like in my dads case.

You don’t make any sense. Why do you title this video, “ African Americans who escaped to Mexico from America” They have only moved from one location to another within America. But I’ll trust you meant to say “African Americans who escaped to Mexico from the United States” Society is doing the impossible to instill the idea that only the United States is America. Let’s not allow this and always raise our voice against this. All people from Alaska to to the tip of Argentina and Chile are Americans.

Thanks! I'am a big Honda fan and own a 2019 NC750X. But sadly - those CRF 300 Rally motorcycles have problems. Couple from Germany bought two brand new CRF 300 Rally bikes for a trip from Germany to South Africa. They didn't make it... Both bikes endet with broken piston rings and wrecked cylinders. Not sure where it happened - Namibia maybe? Same story as yours: no parts available there!!! The couple had to fly back to Germany. No idea what happened to the two wrecked Honda motorcycles. Conclusion maybe: as you state it. More simple bike which is available in the destination countries. In Africa maybe: one of those low cost HERO bikes from India? Hero xpulse or so. No idea. Europe-Asia trip: maybe best there one of those low cost bikes from China. A guy from UK made a trip on a chinese 250cc (?) single cylinder bike. He had (small) problems but had no problems at all get spares and help. Bike brand QJ or so. Cheers from Germany, Andreas

Just be careful on calling them "Black." In the US, Black people view my family as Black, and we have some of the phenotype, but DNA tests of my brother and me show that the dominant part of our genetics is indigenous, and I would guess the same for the people in the video. Americans like to project their history onto Latin America, and we had our problems involving race and color but nothing like the US, particularly not as long. Some Black and liberal White people are too aggressive with their projecting.
