Fighter Jet Ejection Seat Parachute at 14,000 Feet
Переглядів 1,6 тис.4 роки тому
This skydive was performed on July 4, 2020 by myself (camera) and my good friend Josh Weeden (under the round parachute). He had the idea to do a sunset high pull skydive with an ejection seat round carefully packed into a reusable shopping bag.. lol Josh was also wearing his personal rig. He made the decision to chop (cutaway) the round at 6,000 feet and then deploy his main (square) parachute...

How To Land a Parachute - Skydiving in Texas
Переглядів 2,5 тис.5 років тому
Here is a short video of myself at Skydive Temple in Salado Texas coming in to land with my Samurai. I believe I had about 150 jumps at this point.
Wow
Im a little curious. This question won't stop me, I would like to know just how much you think the cost to cover both getting the private airline license and the commercial pilot airline license. Will be grateful for your advice
This video was extremely informative and you went into great detail, flying has been a passion of mine and I never really knew the path to make it my career. You helped me take my first steps, thank you. You earned a sub!
Good info, thanks
Bruh i thought once i got a private pilot license i could make money to help with paying my commercial license. This is ridiculously complicated
Is it too late at 33?
Thank you for video: I always wanted to be pilot but the first obstacle is financial condition. I am from Nepal and now i am currently in Sydney ..I took IT in bachelor and now i am working towards my PR …I am thinking to start kicking off my dream once I get PR … IF DIDNT GET PR too, I will pursue my dream in near future when i will be financially stable ❤❤❤
i'm wondering how old i should be to sign up to be a student pilot, i've booked my discovery flight and is currently 14
Does anybody think it’s too late to start at 29 … about to be 30… 😓
Are you crazy? You got plenty of time!
I am turning 30 in a week and starting the process this fall
Birthday gift to myself becoming a pilot
Which pilot school is better for international students? Or they should better to college for aviation?
Am a Ghanaian i want to be a pilot but I not now how to go about it but I have my SHS certificate
Just saw your other video and it was so helpful, then got excited to binge all your videos. Then I heard that you had passed away RIP brother at least you’re up in the clouds where you enjoy it the most! I’m going to try my hardest to get my ATP for you man ❤
Explained it better than any other video or any article online thank you sir 🫡
Thank you!
After doing aff in Skydive dubai where we can jump solo in the world? As in Aff we will be only at 8 jumps.
Jeez, tandem drogues look a whole load different now.
Any one from india
NEED ADVICE: Scott i’m 16 years old and being an airline pilot has been my dream since i was 4 years old. I started looking into the cost a few months ago and found out it’s on average around $100k to go to flight school. How do you recon I combat this? I don’t have $100k laying around, and neither do my parents. Do I get a loan out for $100k and be in debt? Or should I go the military route? and how does that work to use military to pay for a fast track flight school? Does the military pay for aviation college tuitions? I’m really passionate about this career path and the lifestyle it holds. Please someone give me some insight on how I can combat the price of this beautiful career.
Possibility financing will help
Military route. You get the training, high-level experience, and do not have to go into debt. Do the allotted years for a pilot contract or go reserves.
@@johnpatrickholgerson3196 Can you go in depth on the reserves route? How would that look?
@@GeeWillz269Hello, currently working at Envoy right now. The best route for you is to just take out a loan, once you finish flight school you will be making a good salary and be able to pay the debt off very soon.
Military is the long slow route. If you're gonna do a part 141 school like ATP there are grants and scholarships you can get to help pay for it. Although you don't need to go that route, there are other cheaper, arguably better routes to take. But at the end of the day, if you're gonna commit 100%, then you'll be able to pay off that debt in a couple years and it'll be worth it.
So all of this licenses can be obtained in a flight school?
Did u get an answer? If yes tell me im interested
@@stanleymathers258 from my research yes and no. cuz yes you do get the license but then major airlines requires alot of hours to get the captain airline pilot. But you can still fly for them if not then smaller airline or a flying for a private sector can work too. for eg if you cant join to a major airline yet you can either do caben crew and gain hours or fly a private jet for someone and gain the hours.
Yes.
Very very informative video. Glad to have found this
Surprised that the checklist does not mention the amount of gear strut showing. This is a checklist item on some arrows (1979 Arrow IVs, for example)
skytrash actual
@ScottSchumacher If i have a bachelor's in business do you recommend going for an online aviation degree that partners with aviation school? My end goal is to get my commercial license and fly for the airlines
Is Newzealand skydiving school NZQA approved world wide ? They are giving diploma in skydiving which includes 200 jumps 32 week course
Do the tandem and go do 10 or 20 mins in the tunnel if there's one near you. Tell them you're going to do aff and get an actual skydiver to intruct you on hand signals and freefall stability! Aff is expensive a d you don't want to fail a level.
So I’ve done tandem. I need more. I want to be a solo !
You sound short of breath just doing the preflight!
Great info! I did my first tandem skydive very recently and absolutely loved it. I want to do it a few more times to get used to it before I commit to going for a license.
No clue what you were even saying
Very well explained, such a time saver this video , you answered all the questions in 15 minutes that otherwise took days watching numerous videos
RIP dude sad to hear you passed, just came across your video today....
RIP Brother
RIP brother sucks that we went to for flight training together, you even got me to skydive and I remember seeing the news and im like nah cant be scott then turns out it was you... fly free brother man
Hey do you answer to dms on instagram
he died in a skydiving accident last month , just found out it was my buddy from college earlier today
How much is your salary pay as a professional skydiver or on average? I would love do this full time if the money is livable
37k is a living wage in the right cases of spending, but I believe a start instructor is 50k-55k
More democrats should try this!
Does C License allows skydivers to do base jumping and don a wingsuit.
Yes generally when you get a C license you will have 200 jumps which is the minimum BSR for taking a base course or wingsuit first jump course 👍🏼
Can i get an USPA license from Argentina?
Thank you so much, Scott! Could you please talk a bit about the financial aspect of this? Regarding fees, memberships, jumps, canopy costs, everything? I can google it but I thought it would be great topic to cover.
Do you still plan on making more videos?
He died.
@@Backfromthestormwhat’s happened?
Skydiving. Cutaway. Not sure what happened after that other than he died. @@sultanokenov8880
I always tell people that skydiving is like pure magic, you are flying! You can control your body and fly just like you do when you dream you are flying! Also the best view you can get! Yes it’s very very intense but also calming. Highly highly recommend it. Most fun I’ve ever had in my life and I first started out in the wind tunnel and that helped out tremendously! 🤙🏻 just signed up for my AFF. After my first tandem I was hooked and I went back for two more tandems within that same month and every jump is different so it’s always new and exciting!
This guy gets it
Great info. I needed this.
How much time to get b licence
50 Jumps and a couple training courses to qualify for a B-Licence
@@ScottSchumacher how many jumps per day ideally thnx
@@vip-cw1st I’ve seen determined people get there B-license in as little as a month from AFF to B license. It all depends how many jumps you are willing to do in a day and how much time/money you have 👍🏼
@@ScottSchumacher can we take a long break from a licence to b licence
@@vip-cw1st You can take as long as you need. Most likely after your break you will have to perform a currency jump with a coach/instructor.
How long to get c license.
200 Jumps
Is there a weight limit for skydiving
Usually about 250 lbs is the average limit for tandems. This also depends on the instructor as this number could go up or down slightly.
Then I definitely have some weight to lose because I’m over 300lbs
Is there a temporary certificate issued that we can fly with prior to receiving the physical student pilot certificate?
You only need the student certificate to solo. They used to let you fly with just your 3rd class medical because it also served as a student certificate but now they give you a hard copy student license. You can still fly without the hard copy but only training with an instructor. You will need the hard copy to solo.
Nice im 21 and always wanted to become a pilot so im working on starting these classes i have a flight school about 20 mins away and its in the same town that I work
That’s awesome dude you can’t get more convenient than that! You’re at the perfect age to start too! Let me know if you need any help with anything 🤘🏼
I did my first tandem jump yesterday and now here I am 😎
Same here
I did my first tandem jump yesterday and now I'm hooked
Nice! Always a blast!
my recent instruction flight with 1.3 hobbs hour cost me $450
It all depends on what you are flying and how big of a city you are flying in. That will determine what the flight school is charging for per hour. Sounds like you are flying something expensive or you are in a big city 😁👍🏼
@@ScottSchumacher it was a Cessna 172SP (manuf. date 2001). i guess they considered that new and the flight school is close to NYC
