Made in China -- !
Thinking about purchasing a scope camera. Would you say the overall best choice would be the Scopemate S18?
Any idea how big of a memory card you can put in the S18?
I'm not sure if they're a maximum size or not. I run 128 gb's in all of mine
Maximum 512GB
CRC?
@@justin_daniels yes sir
That's pretty cool man! I need to get me one of those
What's the rifle ?
@@richardmullowney7440 6gt built on a terminus zeus in an XLR envy pro chassis
Thanks for the info. What power was your scope on at 1000 yards? Thx!
17 power for all of the shots
Have you tried it on a zco? Have a trig cam but not used. Looking at this
I have not. I don't run zco's anymore. Switched to all Mark 5's
was told that S18 will have a new version soon, it can fit the diameter 48.8mm, If you have a ZCO 48.5mm, it can fit
....soon?
and lastly I have the tactacam with fts coupling, the lenses of the coupling darken the image a little when I look through my viewfinder, in low light conditions it is difficult to see because it darkens the image even more, with the triggercam I know that this does not happen and with scopemate ?
@@cazaespanola95 it does not. My field of view was actually more clear and crisp through the Scopemate
@@borderbattlemunitions5330 ok thank you very, very much
which one is longer ? which one leaves more distance to the eye so as not to hit you when shooting?
@@cazaespanola95 triggercam is longer. You have more eye relief with the scopemate
@@borderbattlemunitions5330 scopemate will work as well as triggercam with large calibers. 308win - 3006- 300win ?
@cazaespanola95 the largest caliber I have at the time is a 7 saum. It had no issues with that. It locks up much much tighter than the triggercam. I don't see it having any issues with larger calibers

Great review buddy and thanks much for the discount code!!
Thanks for your video! Glad to discover your channel.
myanmar rebels are using the triggercam 2.1, but its very heavy comparatively
Almost looks like you bullet is losing stability based on the vapor trail. What is your twist rate, density altitude, barrel length, projectile, and muzzle velocity?
@IraHerrington that barrel was burnt out a while ago, and the bullets are no longer made. I did take it out to a mile after that with no issues though
@@borderbattlemunitions5330 Reason why I asked is if you pay close attention to your vapor trail, you'll notice the bullet has a bit of wobble going on, not to mention I'd assume you were aiming center mass on this plate, but the impact was right edge of the shoulder.
In your opinion....which is the best?
Close call, but I would pick the Scopemate. I don't see a difference in the videos, it's more user friendly, and the price is tough to beat
is there any way a guy could attach the brant built ocular housing from a send it level to it? Maybe velcro it somehow near the eye piece?
I've never used that so I'm not sure honestly. I feel like you could probably find a way to make it work
I understand the point of the video. With that said, if I were fortunate enough to own a suppressor, why would I ever shoot my rifle without it?
Better recoil management with a muzzle brake. Shorter overall length is easier to get in and out of barricades and props during competitions
Good luck at the match!
@Bonnet i recently bought one to use on my diy air rifle to do forest bird hunt shooting for youtube and its working like a charm no prob at all...took me 3days to get the package from china to the usa via dhl
Amazing review
Actually a good video.
On the scopemate S18 would I be able to view live feed through the scope on my phone while my son is shooting to see what he is seeing?
Yes. You can view it live through the app. It works while you record, or if you just want to watch, you can view it through the app without recording
Nice...
The triggercam is definitely a robust and streamlined unit. I've had mine for a couple of years now and it's been great. Also, the blade bit on the end of the tool is used to adjust the focus but it's still difficult. I do like the focus knob on the scopemate. Great review.
Good stuff. I might get one
Very good review bro👍
Does it record good qualtity vid tru the scope at 100ft
I haven't had a chance to shoot with it on yet. The closest I would be shooting would be 100 yards. It did look good when I tested it just looking out the window of my house. I'll have a chance to test it out on the rifle in about a week
@@borderbattlemunitions5330 ok looking farward to that review, i've already purchase it a few days ago tho
Nice stuff. WTO is killer!
AWESOME MATCH, STAGE 3 WITH THE SMALL TARGETS; TOUGHEST I SEEN RECORDED ON YT🎉
Great job in tough conditions. See you in July.
Thank you sir. Hoping my RimX build will be here soon. Wanting to get out and shoot a few of your matches
That arc. 😮
Um. Um um learn how to talk you gronk
are you tightening down a collar that goes around barrel
Yes. It's called the switch lug. You can look up more details on West Texas Ordnance's website. The barrel shoulders to it. You torque it down to 30in lbs and you're all set
My experiences with various ammunition lots are different. I shoot Sellier & Bellot 168 gr in .308 win. Here I have noticed differences in muzzle velocity of 17 m/s (approx. 56 ft/s) between two batches, which is also clearly reflected in the point of impact. I bought the two batches from the same dealer about 6 weeks apart. I assume that Hornady has completely reworked your cartridge. Presumably a different powder or a different quantity of powder and different primers. This means that the muzzle velocity has changed, but not the point of impact. Greetings from Austria, Hans
Seems I was in the squad ahead of you. Run a Manners and Mk5 myself. Nice shooting, especially with that triggercam. Definitely limits sight picture a bit.
Appreciate it.
Good shooting, what scope you using ? I like the reticle
Leupold Mark 5 5-25x56 with the PR2 reticle in MIL
Great shooting. What cartridge are you running?
6gt
MDT timer?
It's just a talking kitchen timer from Amazon
Nice shooting! I've since moved out of the front range area, so I'm living vicariously through this video. Record the next match too!
Nice shooting in tough conditions!
Nice shooting! Wind was heavy. Can a ask what timer you used in the video?
amzn.to/3ymkLA1
I see no realistic difference. If you're going to test, then test. Forget the bullshit 3 shot groups & adjust. Keep shooting the 3 shot groups on the same setting & shoot 5x3 shot groups per setting. If you're not prepared to do realistic testing then don't bother.
Awesome job on shooting. Thanks for sharing. What caliber are you using?
I was using a 6gt for this match
Impressive wind calling and corrections. Appreciate the scopecam video.
Do I have to remove the firing pin to remove the ejector or can I only remove the ejector?
The ejector can be removed without removing the firing pin. However, removing the firing pin ensures there's no tension on the bolt handle when opening and closing
you should have had the LabRadar LX
I saw it. I feel like they were a little late to the party. Should've released it before the garmin
@@borderbattlemunitions5330 made in Canada so it takes awhile longer :)
What was the range on average? I’m guessing 400-500 yards
Each match is a little different. But you're correct. They probably average about 450ish overall
@@borderbattlemunitions5330 I’m in southern Cali. Is there an organization that breaks down by region
@piercer2 the NRL hunter matches don't break down by region. You would just want to check their website for match locations. There are different groups that are broken down by region for PRS matches. Typically you can find matches in your area on Facebook
Thank you for explaining what they are made for. All I've seen is people "you gotta get this! You gotta get that!" But never explain wtf the this it that does. Honestly i think the wind plays a bigger role the the harmonics of the average person's barrel. Not till your looking at 1+mile shots then you even need to take the Earth's rotation into play.
Why do you keep saying ‘one leg down’ - what are you referring to?
On one of the stages, we were shooting off the side of a hill with our tripod. Just reminding my teammate to put 1 leg down the hill so it didn't want to tip over
Are you using the RRS Series 3 Anvil adapter with your fatboy?
I'm using the Anvil 30 conversion bowl from Two Vets Tripods
@@borderbattlemunitions5330 thanks!
No comparison
Nice video. It's all so amazing to see how many know it all's write comments. You video did show they both work. I am going to purchase another EC-Tuner and it seems they don't have any first generations in stock the caliber I need and no back orders so they may be discontinued. It is good to see that the second generation works pretty much the same. Not crazy about the bigger end that was put on to better grip it to adjust it. But it's probably necessary. There are pros and cons to both models. I do like the first generation I have and most likely would be as happy with the second generation after buying as well. Thanks again nice video.
