OG- you just lucked out tapping into their music when you did. There's only one other Kpop girl group even close and that's Black Pink, but XG is clearly superior. I won't watch any other mv reaction video for girl groups other than those two. You will have better luck exploring male groups. Ateez, Stray Kids, and Be: First will all give you some hip hop vibes.

Cocona and Maya were like 16 when they did this. Who in the states is rapping like this at 16? You need to check out Maya and Harvey doing "Two Tens", and Jurin and Cocona doing "Nothin'". When you watch those videos, f you're an old school hip-hop head, you will get it. They are the real deal!!!

I see you got the Wu-Tang poster in the back. I've been a hip-hop head since the 80s. These girls are the modern version of Wu-Tang, except they are 7 girls from Japan that are based in Korea. And they are cuter than Wu-Tang 🤣

Most reactors are too concerned with upsetting fan bases so they just praise everything. I really appreciate it when reactors are honest and actually say they don’t like something or give actual critiques. You don’t HAVE to like everything. I don’t think XG’s goal is to make everyone happy with everything they do, but they have this ability to appeal to most people for some reason or another. Genre, vocals, dance, rap, style, etc. Keep keeping it real Dre!

1st of all love the editing in this one! Next I would suggest x-gene/hesonoo, grl gang, puppet show, and iykyk. Also, a lot of kpop groups (including XG) have what's called profiles instead of Wikipedia pages. The website kprofiles tells you when they debuted, their label, their names, pics of them, quick facts, etc!

I'm a huge fan of XG - they are my favorite group after discovering them. However, my situation is a bit different from you because I found other groups like Blackpink, Babymonster, Aespa, etc. before I stumbled upon XG. From my perspective, there are a lot of crazy talented vocalists in other groups, but nobody can really touch the hip hop swag that XG has. With that being said, I would urge you to check out two clips: one is Ahyeon from Babymonster's cover of Monster by JBieber and Shawn Mendes on a Korean show called Begin Again Open Mic, and the other is Rami from Babymonster's cover of City Burns by Andra Day. They are both fantastic displays of vocal talent - imo the two most talented vocalists in the kpop game right now

Yes unlike other groups who have and stick to a certain genre, XG, whilst being a hip-hop & rnb focused group, is releasing HITS after HITS regardless the genre. They just don't make bad music. At this point they could release a Rock track and I know Rock fans would appreciate it. Mind blowing honestly.

If you want to see someone in MJ's lane, check out "standing next to you" by jungkook (aka: jk), not a rapper but serious inspiration performance there.

You're enjoying it, we're enjoying the reaction, it's definitely amazing. This became my 2024 Christmas holiday, Anthem. My birthday is mid-December, and my kids played this in the background for me, not knowing I loved it.

I'm glad your enjoying this. I felt a bit creeped out that I was having a Fan Boy moment on little Asian girls. But the music sounds good. I find myself listening at work. And I'm a 80s metal head.

Feel the same way. I'm not hip hop but more Thrasher Metal in the 80's but these girls caught my ear and I'm loving it so far. The sound is a good kind of different.

Most kpop groups can’t sing as good as BM live. So they set bar high for live vocals. You will honestly only love 5/100 songs in the “kpop” songs we recommend.😂

Depending on how far into the rabbit hole you want to go, and some decide not to and that's ok. you do you, you're missing out but you do you. When they do these live takes and even in concerts, whenever they're in a line like this they're always set up the same.
