I had to use large vice grips to remove after trying many other pliers and WD40.I got the rubber grommets and base gear for $3 on TEMU free shipping saved me $100 for a new Magicbullet 900 series.😄
Thanks dude! Mine looks exactly like yours where the plastic gear broke off. The towel idea was awesome. I was trying to use a flat head screwdriver to hold the fan from rotating while using the plier and I was having no luck. Thanks again!
I tried this but the fan kept slipping on its shaft when I tried to turn the bushing. I stuck a screw driver into the head of the screw that kept the fan on and pushed hard into it while turning the bushing, and that finally got it. Still a helpful guide that pointed me in the right direction, I'm just commenting here in case anyone else runs into the same issue with the fan slipping.
Thank you for this video! Your tip of grabbing the whole fan with a rough cloth saved the day! I had tried to get the base gear nut off only with a screwdriver and it wasn't working. But once I grabbed the whole fan gently with the cloth, I was able to get enough mechanical advantage to turn the gear nut off with my vise grip. None of the other videos had this method, and this was the easiest solution! I did use some WD40 on the gear, but holding the screw just wasn't enough. This was brilliant!
Great video, I pulled the fan at the bottom out and used gland pliers top and bottom (after a skoosh of WD40 on the broken gear and left for 10 minutes), thank you.
Mine was stuck too tight so i pushed the screwdriver a little through the moving motor section (metal, not plastic) and that got it off. All working fine.
2 Years later and it helped me fix my Mo Health Blender (essentially a clone of a Magic Bullet), exact same process but rather than holding the fan at the base I held a flat head against the bolt. Thanks!
I cannot understand, mine will not come off, this is so frustrating, I am turning clockwise and everything. I have tried countless time with so much strength to try and budge the cog, its starting to flake the brass off the cog teeth, im ready to give up. I don't get how everyone's is so simple mine is impossible to budge, please any tips!!!!
@@matthewdexter1136 try adding even more WD40 on and leave for 20 minutes. If it's not working with the towel, try with a flat screwdriver in the bottom shaft.
If its really really stuck, don't give up this does work. Plenty of wD40 just leave it for 20 mins or so , trust me iv got really weak wrists and it did come of. I was about to put it outside , most people in this area take stuff if u leave it on your wall at the front they no u ate saying take it , maybe someone else could of used it. I fixed it so I'm really happy. Thank you. ❤️
Omg... thanks so much .The same thing happened to mine and I was trying to get a replacement but for some reason God sent me to your site....I WILL DO THIS NOW..this you so much...I pray God continue to bless you
Holding the fan in the base with a towel did not work for me. The plastic fan came off the shaft and the nut did not loosen. However, there is a screwdriver slot in the shaft. Holding the shaft stationary with a screwdriver did the trick.
Thank you very good 👍
That towel on the base did the trick for me I was stuck cheers
Thanks for making this process so simple ❤
My clear white base gear has covered plastic over the gold central nut. So how do I take the old one off to replace it ?

Use a pair of vice grips instead of a long nose pliers as they tend to slip when unscrewing the base gear.
Worked for me. Great!
Doesn’t show you how to take the clear gear off.
helped me out fixing mine, thanks Bob!

This was very helpful video thanks alot for sharing saved me from spending money to get it done thanks.
Great video! Fixed my 900 series with ease.
Will the fan not break if you grab it too tightly?
@@Ali-34582 The plastic feels fairly flexible, I think you should be okay if you grasp it with a cloth or rag, like the guy did in the video.
Thanks for the vlog. Very useful information, and just as you showed, it works out very well.
How to take the gear off? , you didn't show that part.
Great
thank you 🙏
Thank you for sharing and showing how to remove this!!! I really appreciate it!!! Much love to you!!! 🥰😍🤩

You need to rotate clockwise, try adding some WD40 as well
@@techb0b Counter clockwise, so why are other videos saying clockwise....OMG!!
@@techb0b I done counter clockwise with wd40, im ready to throw the thing out, its impossible to get it off!!!

At last someone who is nos what to do. I'm at this point and don't no how to get that nubs bit of the plastic broke around it. Thank you . X
Towel trick worked...thx

I wouldn't do that last tightening part. The Nutribullet will tighten it all the way down on first usage. I love this short explanation though.

mine is completely stuck. tried WD40 galore and the screwdriver fix. It sort of jumps as you turn it, but does not loosen. Grrrr
got it in the end. woo hoo
Most helpful. Thank you
Very helpful (and much easier than I anticipated). Thank you!!!
love the music
How did you get the old gear off????
