I know what she is saying because Spanish is similar to Filipino language. Maybe this guy does not live in the Philippines the reason why he cannot understand some.

Your Husband is a local from Luzon i suppose (north region of Philippines) and his 1st language is probably Tagalog which is the Philippines' Lingua franca and it only consists of 4000-6000 spanish loan words, whereas the locals from Visayas(mid region of Philippines) and Mindanao(South region of Philippines) the local dialects there have 10000-120000 spanish loan words, that's why your husband didn't get the ones like "cera la puerta" they dont use that in tagalog, but from us locals of visayas and mindanao, we use 'cera' as close and 'puerta' as door. hahahaha

This guy cannot understand basic Spanish. Maybe, he is not fluent in Tagalog too. It is because if you do speak filipino language, you can even understand Spanish since Filipino have lots of Spanish words.

This is wonderful! I know some Tagalog due to having Filipino friends. I relate to this video because I am a Peruvian woman (27 years old) in a relationship with a Chinese man (29 years old) and we've been together for a year (two years in April this year). Definitely we have our moments where we practice and speak our languages to each other. He speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin (mostly) to me and he's getting better in Spanish. He wants to communicate with my abuelitos, tias, tios, etc. It's beautiful finding another fellow Peruvian woman on UA-cam.
