@@fentlover33 I'm allowed to have hobbies and have a life outside of school!
i know that sir
There's a great deal of joy in seeing a 'vintage' kit lovingly built up into a fine finished example. And your obvious pleasure in doing it multiplies that. Great video. Great model.
@juleshammond5652 Thanks, with the older kits, there's not the expectation for perfection, also gives scope for some scratch building.
She was not australian, she was born in Argentina...
Excellent work! Keep up the great work mate! 👍🇦🇺👍
So good, the girl is the highlight in the field.XD
Your welcome Rock
he is the best
The Airfix 54mm figure kits are a really nice series. I have put together 11 of them over the years. Love the details and super fun to put together. This particular kit took some time as I remember. A nice base make a huge difference in the display of these models. When I finish my figure models I like to spray them with dull-coat and then highlight certain parts with gloss or some form of sheen. You did a fine job on the model. I can appreciate the time you invested in it. It is a fine looking piece. Well done!
Nice diorama
Excellent build, I put this one together a few years ago and it was a fun build. The diorama box is great and the speed addition really sets the whole thing off nicely.
Excellent! Is it a bit larger than 1/24 scale?
Yes , it looks more like 16th scale but it didn't have a scale on the box
Почему музыка такая торжественная, должен быть похоронный марш.
👍
very nice ... well done.
Really nicely done all around, i love it! One of my great-grandfathers actually knew Priller, they would hit the bars in Northern France hard together. Unsurprisingly Priller married into a brewery after the war, it is still in family possession to this day. It is the Riegele Brewery in Augsburg, they even mention Josef Priller on their homepage.
Thanks for your comments, I have seen many of your videos of your great models.
Im pretty sure it was Priller who was the German pilot in the movie 'the longest day'.
You are correct.
Excellent, thumbs up!
Wunderbar! Well done mate, the FW190 turned out really well and the red on the BMW looks stunning. 👍
Hi Michael, commendable effort!! But if you don't mind some comments - the big issue is the colour of Josef Priller's uniform, it is way way way over the top! The strong bright blue colour was never like that in real life. The box art colours showing the 'dress' uniform he is wearing to get in his BMW are way too strong. There is much info online showing the 'real' colours of the clothing which in the scale you are using will show. BUT this brings me to another point many people don't think about - scale colour in models. If you paint an Fw 190 at 1/72 scale, 1/48 scale, 1/32 and 1/24th scale, most people will use the same ratio of mix. So the colour has the same 'value' on the surface of the model irrespective of the scale - in fact i.e. the smaller the scale the lighter the paint should be. Paint manufacturers need to make paint mixes according to scale - but a bridge to far I'm sure. Some really keen modellers are aware of this and do their own scale mixes, But amazingly this was discussed i.e. scale colour on models in an Airfix Magazine in the early 1970s when I was a kid. All the very best, a great model you have done!!!
Probably not, I just matched the colour that was on the box art. With his bright red car, he was probably a very showy, gaudy man. The other issue is that the colour matching on the tv screen isn't matching what I see in real life - I probably need another camera.
What a nice little kit, Michael.
Yes and I got it for a bargain at a swap meet
nicely well done mate !
lovely touchs that bring the figure to life
Wonderful work. One observation. The spoken part warns of an approaching alien. The head bubble is extended as if the robot is at full alert. But the right arm is flaccid, as if at rest. Wouldn't it have been better to turn the arm to arc upward as if at full alert?
That would have been nice, but the internals of the model was actually a bit tight, it was bad enough to put in LED's much less servos etc
A cracking build lad but you forgot to add the lights. I added the headlights and some interior ones to light up Grommet and the rabbit on the passenger street. I have just started building the Top Bun van based on the Airfix kit and aftermarket 3d printed parts. Keep building.
Great job. Apparently you can still find this kit.
Thanks very much
I personally like the Airfix kits. The last one I made was the Polish Lancer. Mike of Bristol
Splendid result. I'm struggling with the Scots Gray at the moment. Recently got the Polish Lancer and a French Old Guard .. My dad did most of these series back in the day 70s. Dad would take about 12 months to finish one wish he was stll around to ask how he did the damn straps experimenting with paper various types at the moment .. They are certainly a challenge 😂😂. You have done a good job on face I must say. The horse though possibly a little too shiny overall, you could matt down some areas. Lovely bit of modelling hats off to you.😊
I love these models too. I made a diorama with 5 of the Cuirassiers being shot down by Maitland.... because now was his time...ha ha ha. I have another 2 kits of these and an assortment of the other kits from the series. They have just enough detail to make them look amazing. Well done with your diorama
Another way of doing the horse would of been to paint it in oil paint and for a slight sheen ,,,to rub your fingers natural oils over him
Very well done!
SUperb painting and basing, congrats on this cuir!
Hi Michael, considering how difficult these early Airfix kits can be and, how much work is required to get a decent result, I think you have made a good effort with this subject. Well done mate, well worth the vidio to see how you completed it.😀
Thanks very much
I don't like the horse finish, same color all the way, you would have better watched some pictures about real bay horses: they always show a tones graduation and legs are black from knees to hoofs eventually interrupted by white bands if present. Also, you painted horse tongue a reddish color instead of pink-flesh. In the end the brake in his mouth is out of scale.
Really like your British gentleman, and your paint work on the Bentley is impressive. An excellent display.
Thanks
Wonderful painting of a superb sculpt. What a treat!👍👍👍
Yet again another great video The detail on the shark teeth necklace, wow!
Thanks Cooper, have a great holiday!
nicely well done mate ! the figure is perfect -
Thanks very much
Brilliant. Yes, you really made her face come to life. Well done! 👍👍👍
Thanks very much

Another crazy video
Thanks Tanna, I hope you're having a nice holiday.
I Like iT . I Would Love Find The Light Kit You Did And Try My Luck. I Am Scared To Start The Mobiobus Build . Ihave It But Afraid Of It.
I took a sound module (from Amazon) and hooked up a couple of leds in series so that the lights blinked according to the sound.
guys remember to like and comment if you are enjoying the content like i am.
Such a good vid, very good use of your coaster , such a good save and turned out great.
Thanks very much.
epic
I know Ron Volstad here in Edmonton Alberta Canada. A very talented artist and all round gentleman.
It was the box artwork that was the inspiration for me making the diorama. When I'm finished with the kit, I cut out the box and store it in folders.
Love it! Keep it up
Excellent build..!
You did a really nice job on this kit. As a huge fan of Lost in Space, and the robot in particular (I watched it in syndication when I was little), I always wished that they'd made the model more accurate, but a good paint job can go a long way toward making its flaws less noticeable.
Thanks, I made it during lockdown, I wasnt allowed to go to the beach to get sand so I used train ballast and painted it. The kit itself came together nicely
Superb work on the Cuirassier. Excellent paintwork......very colorful and striking. I also liked the chinstrap technique. The detail on the base compliments the figure wonderfully. My only suggestion is making deep furrows behind the various canon balls.....like they dug into the earth as they halted. Happy modeling my friend. Bill
Thanks alot. I wish that Airfix would re release these figures.
Great video...think I just may retrieve my 54 kits...thank you for posting buddy
Thanks, I wish Airfix would re issue all these kits.
