The airport doesn't have any fencing and night landing lights.
It is fenced and it has night landing category two lighting. It is the only airport in igboland with such facilities
Thanks to Obiano for building this airport. At least Obiano has one infrastructure project we can remember him for. Unlike Peter Obi that has zero infrastructure . A man wasted 8years of Anambra and only looted to hide in South America s Pandora loots. Very useless governor. No wonder those naija people rejected him.

Wnen will this warehouse former governor Obiano bestowed to Ndi Anambra have a face-lift? This is not a world class infrastructures, though Soludo said in his manifesto he would make Anambra the Dubai of Africa. Therefore, Anambra airport should be part of infrastructures that need a major face-lift. The lifts and toilets at the airport is not fit for purpose, that is, some of the areas that need attention and so many more issues. When a serious governor who wants to give Anambra a befitting Airport terminal comes, the governor will knock this warehouse and build a world-class airport terminal, then other state in Nigeria will know Anambra airport is open for business.
Anambra international airport is the best and most beautiful in igboland. Enugu airport is a motorpark, imo state airport is not more beautiful that Upper Iweka motorpark. Anambra international is the best and most standard and the gateway to the eastern Nigeria. Your envy and bitterness cannot change the reality

Thanks for the detailed tour. I have watched a lot of vlogs about this airport and yours stands out as the most thorough and informative. At first glance, the terminal looks small from the outside but the inside view shows it's quite spacious. And those complaining that it's too small to be an international airport should realize that it's not building size that determines the classification of an airport. There are many international airports overseas with comparatively smaller footprints and buildings. There are a lot of business travelers from the Southeast and if given proper attention this airport can compete with any of the Abuja and Lagos airports in revenue. Hoping that the airport authority keeps up with maintenance and landscaping. Cudos.

The headquarters of Ethiopian Airlines cargo division for West Africa is based in Abuja and two years ago Ethiopian Airlines has brought 8 of their own big cargo planes at once to test if this airport will handel them. The test done successfully and the officials of Ethiopian Airlines wanted to move from Abuja and set up a base in Anambra which may generate for the Abambra State $ 12 million annually airport tax and an employment of at least 380 workforce to process all cargo freights, unfortunately the aviation minister rejected and given to Ethiopian Airlines a 40% of tax holidays for the next 10 years. Now the new aviation minister is even WORSE than the former one because he still rejected Ethiopian Airlines not to move to Abambra and maintained the old tax holiday to favour Ethiopian Airlines so that they will keep their headquarters in Abuja. The new aviation minister rejected them also a landing rights for Ethiopian Airlines passenger planes. The new aviation minister HATE Igbo land with passion.

According to FAAN, there are currently 22 airports in Nigeria but only 3 are viable! The rest are unsustainable white elephant projects!
