    Why did you get the scandi grind rather than the full convex grind? Why the tool steel vs CPM3V? Last, when I went to their site it directed me to another person’s site for having the firesteel done but the person has a year’s backlog and is not currently taking orders. Maybe this is a change since your purchase??? Thanks

    The sheath is glass reinforced nylon. All Cutco knives have a FOREVER guarantee, which means if you damage it, you can get it replaced. It's also American made in Upstate NY. Weighs 9.52 oz. The blade is 440A High-Carbon, Stainless Steel. It costs presently $218

    All Uberleben products are machine made in China not hand made. If you want a true Kuksa then make your own or order it from an actual artisan Kuksa maker.

    I have this knife, got bored during some field training and we were throwing knives into a tree over and over. I threw this thing over 600 times, mostly getting it to go in but sometimes hitting it on it's side. Handle never loosened, blade has held it's edge, and the finish hasn't worn off. Great knife and I highly recommend it. Case and point, it's coming with me on my next deployment!

    Thank you so much for the review. Fast forward 2+ years later, they now have an even larger one. 1/2 inch × 8 inches long. I ordered it last week; hoping that it will arrive later this week. I have seen many reviews on this brand of firesteel and everyone seems to prefer it. I am sure that I will be pleased with it as well. It should last me the rest of my lifetime. Thanks again!

    Hi Can you let me know where did you buy this stuff? cause I bought 4 from this website : www.uberleben.co/ but the result is quite different. The box outlook is not triangle but a cube, and there is no any sticker of product information outside. The kuksa itself is fine, however the workmanship is a little bit rough.

  • @Lars1540
    @Lars1540 7 років тому

    Thumbs up man! I especially liked how you used basically a half fisherman's knot to secure your fire steel to the loop in the sheath! One criticism though: your extreme overuse of the word "um" or "uh" is very distracting to the listener and hinders the review. Not sure if you are aware, but in this 11 minute video you managed to say "um" a total of 138 times! I pay attention to these things because public speaking was something I had to work on as well and as one teacher pointed out to me once, you don't really know how bad a verbal tic is until it's brought to your attention. Anyways, I hope this helps you improve. Good luck!

      @ctbushcraft7865 7 років тому

      Thanks for the support! As far as I know, Adventure Sworn does not have their order books open right now, so there is a wait time in that they are only selling knives as they make them and put them up for sale. To check for sure I would check their website or contact them and see if they will be opening their order books anytime soon. Either way, I definitely recommend purchasing one of their knives. Hope this helps!

    Thank you for the review and I'm going to order one and craft a wooden handle for it! Hang it from your waist or neck and it doesn't matter if it is too heavy for your kit ! For $20.00 it will last for a year if your using it everyday to purify water etc! :-)

And you're right, I carry it in my pocket to keep the weight out of my pack and I absolutely never regret bringing it. You won't be disappointed my friend. Nice knife dude. How often does Adventure Sworn open up there books for custom orders?

    • @ctbushcraft7865
      @ctbushcraft7865 7 років тому

      Thanks for the nice comment brother... Adventure Sworn had their order books open for a long time, but closed them indefinitely as of late fall 2016. I slipped this order in right before they closed them. They said it would be easier to keep up with demand by just producing knives of their own designs and putting them up for sale. I do not know whether they will ever open their order books again, but they very well might... that would be a question better directed to them. However, if you follow their Instagram, that's where they post most, if not all, of the knives they make that go up for sale on their website, so you could grab something that strikes your fancy there as they come up. Hope this helps. Thanks again for the support. Regards, Will
