i think you sew it onto the tote bag, it’s just meant to give you the texture/pattern to follow for the cross stitch style.

@@sonder2164 you stitch into the bag. You just use the mesh as a guide to make the stitches! I used the hoop to hold the mesh in place as I worked. Then the mesh dissolves in water and the stitched thread is left sewn into the bag 😊
