Off topic- it seems so fun to me to play Kurt and Ram being absolutely unhinged. Cuz like- obvi its incredibly wrong- but theatre is make believe. I just think their roles would be very fun to play! But also incredibly embarrassing as ever (cuz.. duh, its Kurt n Ram).

Blue is way more playful horny teenagers being stupid- or at least it can be interpreted that way. You're welcome is WAY more threatening on its own. Sure its less straightforward than Blue- and yet its so much worse if that makes sense? Like- this is just really really terrible catcalling and our jocks fighting over the girl- idk whether the choreography allows em to touch anything or if theyre busier fighting over who can impress her the most- whereas blue is- oh you make ME feel this way Instead of Oh damn YOU shouldnt have dressed that way if you didnt want this- Yaknow? Like this is straight up victimblaming, no? But I can see why they opted for something thats not blue especially with the straightforwardness of blue. But it does give a very different message. Tbf! We get to know these two a bit from before this incident- but I dont think that helps their case much. It does show that everything does go to shit after Heathers death- cuz theres no control for the jocks anymore. But it also kinda justifies JD. But I think that also kinda adds a layer cuz like.. JD ends up taking it way way too far. So yeah.. but no... but kinda yeah? Idk. I must say I love the motifs that come back- like HEY! You wanted to be popular (same tone as end up like her. Cuz she did end up like the heathers, now didnt she?) Also how it leads with the heather motif. Also the entirety of the song has the same little notes as the very beginning of the musical, no? Like the same as the introductions- cuz Veronica gets to step out and give us her thoughts throughout the song, like in the beginning.

Here’s the thing. This song sort of makes JD seem like a hero for killing them. But honestly, I like it better for the fact that it doesn’t just show two boys being drunk and goofy, but it shows two young men who are intentionally wanting to (yknow) Veronica. So yes, in context, “Blue” is better, but in actual reality, “You’re Welcome” is much more accurate.

Not you all hating on this song, i like blue but i really like this too. It might have a dark backstory but so does blue, they might be sober not like in blue but neither the less both versions are the same and both songs are really good

I prefer that HD doesn't get her own song due to symbolic reasons, but this is fun!
