A 2022 Road Glide ST with a 117cu makes 106hp...and they brag about it.....

It's a motorcycle with a motor a fraction of the size of a car's. You expect 300hp to be usable on a bike?

The top dog Harley 131 Screamin Eagle crate motor only makes 120hp and 130 ft lbs. Their 114s don't break 100hp and the 107 doesn't even break 80hp. To put that displacement into perspective, the 131cu is 2147cc, a 114cu is 1868cc, and the 107cu is 1753cc. A Kawi ZX-6R makes 127hp out of a 636cc. Those big V-Twins just don't make a lot of power. 🤷

Yeah the cross between the sport bike and bagger is the way to go. Boosting the bagger is a must when coming from a crotch rocket.

@@imapiledriver2462 are find Yamaha motorcycles sound like chainsaws? You do know Yamaha has some of the best exhaust acoustics in the world. It's why Lexus asked them for help tuning the LFA supercars exhaust. And a 600cc Yamaha will blow the doors off both of those bikes

A 600 yamaha ain't coming near a 180 hp 200 ft lbs vtwin. Not even on its worst day. I like yamahas. It's the only dirtbike brand I will buy. But no chance. Those are not stock victories. If we're talking stock n/a vtwin then it's a different story.

I worked with a guy who had an old Goldwing. I didn't care a thing about Harleys, but that never stopped me from giving him shit about it. He would always reply with "When I want to slow down and pay too much, I'll buy a Harley." They should change their slogan to "Yesterday's technology at tomorrow's prices."

Hardly ableson the most american made bike thats barely made in America. The new ones are total garbage too. Even the AMF was a better bike.

If I were you, I'd be buying up whatever spare parts and maintenance gear you possibly can. Mate of mine had a Hammer S Eightball. Mind you, he's always managed to have a Harley or two in his stable as well. But the Hammer's a great bike, that 250 rear certainly didn't affect the handling at all, can't remember exactly what donk was in it, I think a 106? It sure did go like the clappers! But you know what? Sitting around the firepit, sucking back a few coldies, asked him if he had to choose, which would he keep, the Victory or the Harley, without hesitation he said the Harley.
