2010 Ford F-150 5.4 L w/Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler - Cold Start
This is my 2010 F-150 with the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, I started out with a Flowmaster but the drone was too much for me so I have gone with this muffler, the sound is a lot more pleasant for me in the cab, especially when I am pulling my camper.

I purchased a different camera and decided to see if it would pick up sound details better. In this video you can hear the turbo during acceleration, I have the Injen SRI as well as the Borla catback.

does borla cat back have a cat converter.
No it does not, hence the name “cat-back” you will have to get a downpipe to upgrade your cat or delete it.

That's what my Borla exhaust sounds like on my Accord Sport. I had axle back Borla on my R18 Civic and similar sound after adding vibrant resonator and removing factory res.
This is as close to the Elantra N exhaust as I can find. Ordering 1 next week!
Hi! Just wondering do you have a whistling sound when you step full throttle on this exhaust?
the civic intake box is built to remove that turbo whistle if you want that noise you gotta do a intake but it's not a huge turbo so you still won't hear it to loud

Thanks, I like the sound myself. Everything is stock aside of the cat-back, I have not upgraded the down pipe or front pipe.

Do it, I have been running this exhaust for over 3 years and have never had a CEL, the car runs great as it always has. 👍🏻

Phil buzenberg honestly, with only 180 HP I didn’t really notice much more power if any, I just got the system because I wanted to hear my car when I’m driving it, I dig the way it sounds and the fact the system doesn’t drone at all. As far as the throttle response I can’t say that it improved it any, judging by seat of the pants feel.

Awesome, you should like the system, I haven’t regretted getting it for sure! I bought the Magnaflow Catback before this one and it droned pretty bad, I wasn’t satisfied at all with it.
@@raytheon8443 I've heard alot about the magna flow didnt really like it sounded like it was kinda muffled was your borla exhaust welded or tightened with the clamps
I installed it with the supplied clamps, it is completely bolt on.
Alright guys here’s a tip for CVT drivers. IF you want to maximize SOUND drive WITH paddle shifters(“manual” mode) in S. When you come to a stop make sure you’re in first gear and as you accelerate, the exhausts sound really comes out. ALSO if you want the crackling noise slow down in first gear but don’t step on the brakes as much. Let the rpm meter lower itself and if you roll down ur windows u can hear the crackles/gurgles. IF you want to maximize SPEED. DO NOT use the shifters. Just keep it in s mode and step on it. Sound wont be as loud.
I know it’s a year later but.. I just got my 2021 sport hatch cvt and I like this Borla, it’s $800 now which is affordable. I was thinking if I put it in S mode where it holds higher rpms and let it engine brake a bit when coming to a stop that’s probably gonna be the best time for sound. :D
Or just learn to drive a manual…😂

Around 3-4000 rpms is when the exhaust sound really comes in to play

Marco Gonzalez I don’t know if anyone has put this on an Si sedan or even if it would fit the sedan, you would have to contact Borla on that.
I did put the Si version of this exhaust on the hatchback.
Maybe driving in sport mode will increase the sound

Raytheon update! I got this exhaust installed today and it’s as amazing as I thought it would be! I literally couldn’t hear the exhaust when it was stock but now it’s a whole new animal 😍 I appreciate you making this video as it was the video that sealed my decision for purchasing this exhaust and I hope it helps/helped others too 👍🏼

Tyler W I have looked through my documents and can’t seem to find the place that I purchased it from, I do know that it was a third party retailer, it’s much cheaper to buy from them than Borla directly. But I picked it up for around $650.00.

Mitsubishi yes, you would, I haven’t done anything to my Hatch besides the catback and the Injen SRI, it sounded that way with the stock intake as well so the intake didn’t affect the sound of the exhaust.

Ricardo Ramirez no it’s not loud in person, I mean yes it’s louder than stock, you may want to reach out to Borla to get the db rating on the system but it’s by far not loud. I hope this gives you some insight Sir.
How much cost u for the exhaust with installing?
shengfan he the exhaust cost around $680.00 and I installed it myself, a little time consuming but if you do your own mechanics work on your car there’s nothing to it.

Usernamebreh not at all, you have to keep in mind that my GoPro was about 4 inches from the exhaust, it does not sound ricey at all, the sound is very mild and isn’t loud at all. Check out my other videos and you can tell it’s not very loud, it just lets you know it’s back there. I’m very happy with the sound and the fact there is no cabin drone.
Raytheon thanks a lot bro,I also went with the magnaflow first but I didn’t like the drone and the fact that’s it’s black and doesn’t match with the badges. The borla is on sale for 650 on Amazon so hopefully I’ll be a lot happier with this one

Rob C I’m glad they helped you decide, that’s exactly the reason I posted the different videos. I would have liked to been able to see/hear the different scenarios before I purchased my first catback for my Hatch but I’m super happy with the Borla.

Juanita Andrews I have been unable to find any decibel ratings on it, you may try reaching out to Borla and see if they can help you. Sorry I’m just not going to be much help on the subject.
