My First Trip To Newport Bay

This was a super dope trip up to Newport bay. spent the day chilling with my girlfriend and shore pounding on balboa island. I caught a giant at night and fished the next morning. Fishing was slow but I managed to Land some tanks.

Didn’t know Miramar had baitfish. Is it shad or silverside. That middle dock was where some 15 lb schools 3-5 fish were hanging out in the mid 90s. Was young and didn’t know how to catch them plus no big trout swimbaits back then

That harbor is weird now, I’ve been only getting bites on the 2.5-3” Ned style baits and the 2.8” keitechs
