Let me guess - it's a Broan?? Nutone, which now owns Broan, makes an identical light/fan unit. Seems like you could use the existing housing and vent tube, and just replace the guts and outer plastic with parts from a new Nutone unit, which generally are quieter. Cost about $35 at Home Depot.

Good Ham video, I moved to Toms River about 6 months ago from Lincoln, Nebraska, I am disappointed on the lack of Ham happenings in my new area. I talked to a couple of guys from the area but they seemed to promote radio in a lackluster way. Back home we promoted radio a lot for a hobby and emergency services, public service and to getting more young people involved! From what I've seen in New Jersey, we really need it here.
