2 years later, and we now have Shadow generations which did everything omens tried to do with his gameplay but 10 times better. He might not have his full roster of chaos moves but everything they did include like the chaos spear being a hold to lock on and release to shoot, and chaos control not only stopping time completely but cleverly fitting into level gimmicks and design instead of being only usefull in very very specific situations makes shadow's god awful controls in omens more laughable

The story of Sonic omens really feels like someone watched Sonic X saw the metarex and really wanted to see one of them be so cool and so awesome like they’re going to destroy the chaos emeralds! Like wanted all that and so they wrote a story based on making that happen and just didn’t put much thought into much else

I personally never had much of a problem with the scoring system in the speed stages. My gripes lie in the mech stages because wtf do you mean that if I get hit while my cannon is firing I don't get points for chaining enemies

Bro i was on Mad Space for like an hour on my 3rd run of beating adventure 2. It had me swearing, tired, losing my sanity. I had to take a whole break from the game. Rouge has THE worst levels in the game

I discovered it 2 by myself. It was random, my ultima form run out when he was doing the triangle move and i noticed that it gave me an opening (even if he flew away cause opening are really short against him). I then tried to attack normally and didn't work but then thought that when you transform in ultima you do damage tried it and it worked. It's a really good opening

Well giving sonic a percentage meter does give more presision on how much boost you can use and giving shadow a chaos meter was a neat idea

Final rush is goated but I do like the more compact level design we get from hallways. Too often if you try to be too open it can just be directionless. One thing that makes final rush so fire is that there are just layers upon layers and so many multiple routes vertically and horizontally

21:11 Not sure if you noticed on your initial playthrough or prior to the postmortem, but if you take out these three enemies here and then go to the left instead of going through the path ahead, the dead end wall will open up to reveal Vector (who sounds like a bad Stitch from Lilo and Stitch impression) just for a forced "Find the Computer Room!" reference where he'll then explain to Shadow that GUN is letting him access their files for the Chaotix's detective work or something...
